Gear S Plugin for Android
Once every month the app resets itself and won't recognize my gear S2. The only way is to factory reset the watch and then connect it to the app as a "new gear". I would prefer to have this issue fixed rather than samsung ignoring me.
Bought new Gear S3. Finally connected to my Sony Xperia Z5, after a factory reset of my phone. Now, after a reboot, connecting doesn't work anymore for the gear app. But Samsung Health reads the metrics flawlessly. Support only tells me, they don't support my phone.
It works IF you're connected, i use oppo r9 and i get disconnected to my gear s3 like every 10 mins or so. Fix basic before adding features.
I use oppo f3 plus and after every 5mins gear gets disconnected automatically,i just get call notifications,no FB whatsapp etc notifications please fix this.the watch is useless without getting notifications.samsung should behave as their status in market.samsung should not do such cheap things. Always get a notification that the Gear S Plugin stopped. And, I am unable to text from my gear. Bought the Agile Keyboard and now my screen is black with a blue blinking courser. Can't even default back the Samsung keyboard. So frustrating!!!!!
I like it. Works perfect with my lg v20. Samsung pay is amazing. I get points for using my card to get free money basically. You can redeem gift cards and stuff. Only complaint is i cant get the offers for the samsung pay app.
Disconnects frequently from phone. Have not been able to use messaging in over a month and support by phone and email is useless. Reset gear twice reinstalled app twice and still not connected. Complained 4 months ago but support was useless again.
Will not connect as everyone has said. Pathetic that Samsung can't or won't make an app that connects to a non Samsung phone.
It's not connecting to Samsung apps and faces for gear anymore. 2 weeks since the update and nothing is working. Samsung support is also worth less than one star.
I have a ZTE zmax pro and my gear S2 every time I reboot my phone I have to reset the watch and set up all my stuff over again. Please Samsung fix this because I love the watch but this sucks.
App causes error every time I try to stylise watch faces from the app. - Edit: Seems to be working fine now
Works okay, it's kinda clunky. But also Samsung pay no longer works on Android O, I realize it's beta, but you should be testing already.
This update just stopped the connection between my UMI Plus phone and Gear S3...connection drops and re-connects every 30 seconds!
Installed the gear s plug in and the gear app and after trying to connect my gear s to my phone multiple times it says there are no gears in range, Bluetooth is on and I have reset the watch many times and powered down my phone multiple times
No real issues. Doesn't work on Android O however, keeps crashing.
Typical Samsung garbage. Broke remote connection via lte. Do they even test this stuff before releasing?
Gear s plug in. Doesn't work. At all. Trying to connect the gear s to android. Doesn't work. At all. Device can't be found. So very disappointed.
Does not work. Even after reset of gear s and reinstall of gear app. Bluetooth is connected but app won't recognize gear s.
Every so often it won't connect to my phone and I have to completely reset my watch. Please try and fix this
No connection issues. But crashes pretty often with Android O beta, but I guess it's not their fault
Previous versions works well. Now I'm having problems updating apps in my gear S3. Doesn't show accurate battery level and I'm unable to free some of my gear's memory even if I disconnect and reconnect via Bluetooth. Please look into this as well as other people's concerns.
What different between Samsung gear and Gear S plugin? When i use Samsung Galaxy Note 2, i only install Samsung gear with my gear S3. Now i using oppo r9s, after install Samsung gear, still need to install gear s plugin.....and it keep disconnect from my gear s3. Got few times my gear s3 reset factory itself
Nothing but trouble, keeps telling me to install the plug in when it's installed. Paid for a watch face I never received. Said it downloaded, but never showed up on my phone.
What the heck did Samsung do? Can't even open the app store now. This upgrade sucks! Fix it NOW!
Does not support Android for work profile notifications. Samsung gear deal breaker for me.
Incredibly hard to connect device. Does not recognize my gear 3 and had to do a factory reset along with reinstalling the app/plugins

It forces me to update gear apps which I don't want updated. There is no option of turning auto updates off. Why would you not keep it optional? My gear S2's S Health doesn't detect HR after the latest update. Why do you want to shove it down my throat? A broken version of apps. Disgusting. Hated Samsung from their start. Blind and stupid people.

Gear S2 disconnects itself after 5-10 minutes and never reconnects by itself... Hello samsung are u hearing. Please provide solutions.
Not to have watch email and sms app for non-samsung phone is really disappointing and frustrating.

Wish I checked the software reviews before I brought a £350 s3 Frontier watch that I have to reset every couple of weeks. I have to re-enter my cards for tap and pay too. Download all my purchases. Don't think I can continue with this for much longer.
Install this so you can use your gear S2 and then throw away your 300 dollar gear 2 because your made of money and love to have a junk drawer full of Samsung devices like my Note 1, 3 and 4 and now I can put this watch in there with them all, thank you Samsung for convincing me to buy my new Pixel XL, guess I'll have to buy a watch to go with it and throw this gear S2 in the drawer too

What a joke. Apparently Samsung pays no attention to frustrated users.Doesn't reconnect to Bluetooth unless you reset it and lose much of your data. On the plus side there are other similar watches to consider and usually cheaper.
