About Samsung Notes
With Samsung Notes,
you can create notes containing texts, images with footnotes, voice recordings, and music. Moreover, you can share your notes easily to SNS.
Previously made any memos from S Note and Memo also can be imported into Samsung Notes.
Samsung Notes provides various brush types and color mixers, so that you can draw fabulous paintings like professional painters.
You may also share your paintings at PEN.UP right away.

Creating notes
Tap + icon at the bottom of the main screen of Samsung Notes to create notes.
Locking notes
1.Tap the More options button on the main screen of Samsung Notes, select Settings,
then select Lock notes to create a password.
2.Create a password, then tap the note you want to lock.
3.Tap the More options button while viewing a note, then select Lock.
Adding text
Tap keyboard icon at the top of the screen to enter text using the keyboard.
Use the Rich text toolbar to edit the style of the text.
Adding handwriting
Tap Handwriting icon at the top of the screen to add handwriting.
Handwritten text can be recognised. You can also use handwriting to search for keywords in notes.
Adding drawings
Tap drawing icon at the top of the screen to create drawings.
Adding image and voice recordings
Tap image icon at the top of the screen to insert images.
Tap Voice recording icon at the top of the screen to insert voice recordings.
Using pen settings
Select from various pen types, sizes, and colours.
Erasing handwriting
Tap eraser icon at the bottom of the screen, then tap or swipe your finger over the handwriting you want to erase.
Using Selection mode
Tap selection icon at the bottom of the screen, then select an area of handwriting.
You can then move the selected area, adjust its size, and more.
Using brush settings
Select from various brush types and colours.
Tap the selected brush to view the brush settings again and change more settings such as the size and opacity.
Tap color icon, then select the colour you want to draw with.
Using Smart Switch.
Use Smart Switch to import S Note and Memo data from other devices.
Using Samsung account.
1.Tap the More options button while on the main screen of Samsung Notes, select Settings, then select Import data.
2.Select S Note or Memo data saved using your Samsung account, then tap the DONE button.
Syncing notes via Samsung Cloud
1.Tap the More options button while on the main screen of Samsung Notes, select Settings,
then select Sync with Samsung Cloud.
2.Register with or sign in to Samsung Cloud using your Samsung account.
Samsung Notes data will be synced automatically.
Creating notes while screen off
Detach the S Pen while the screen is turned off to create screen off memos.

What the hell Samsung! This is like notepad vs word. I am seriously dumbfounded at the lack of basic features compared to S Note. Eg you can't even highlight text entered from the keyboard or change the opacity of the highlighter. Why would you bundle this on a top tier productivity device over S Note is beyond me.

I see in 'what's new' you have 'pop up style memo' and 'action link', I can't find an action link feature and I don't know what's different about the pop up note feature. I've installed this update (2.0.1) on my Note8 but my version says 2.0.01.34, what's up there? It looks like you're trying to add some original S-notes functionality, but from my experience since updating, S-notes with action memo was still better.

Cheap & Trashy app bundled on High-End Galaxy Note8? The files cant be found on device folders. The app cant be uninstalled. A downgrade from SNote! Unless this app updated into the new and better than S-Note, 1 star is more than enough to appreciate.

Shame on you Samsung for allowing version 2.0.01.34 to steal users personal data with no option to stop the auto sync (thieft) of this. This used to be my favourite note application but am now looking for one that respects user privacy before deleting Samsung Notes. I now wonder what other data you are stealing without our knowledge.

Sorry, I think my s note at my old samsung note 4 is better.. at my note 4 i can zoom in and out the note i made. Also there was a cover for every note i made. I could cut every words that i wanted to erase. Even i could write using keyboard with a background that i chose In my note 4. While in this new note 8, no better improvements ( s note in note 8 isnt good ) I think samsung should listen to us , the user of s note and make an immediately improvements. Thanks.

Like the "write on PDF" function but can't do what the note 4 version did. In the option to resize the page please add what size will be printed as what I thought was A4 turned out to be so much bigger, having to guess what the size is.

Recent update bring back the function of action memo. Really appreciate if pin to home screen option can choose background colour like prev version action memo.Now only I feel no regret purchased Note8.Tqvm for listening, you earned my loyalty on Note series.

I like infinite scrolling and some of the artistic tools but this is nowhere CLOSE to S-note. If this is replacing S-note on the Note 8 and there's no way to us S-note or get its features back it might be a deal breaker! I would definitely use Squid or One Note over this...it works similar to Evernote which is not very s-pen friendly. S-note had come a LONG way since my Note 2, and it finally became my go-to note taking app. The features were EXCELLENT. I tried using this on my note 5 and the experience isn't even close to being feature rich or enjoyable. I just pre-ordered the Note 8 and then it occurred to me that this program might be taking over S-note. If that is so, and there's no way to install S-note, I am seriously considering canceling my pre-order.

Downloaded on my Note 5 thinking that the note taking app from the Note 8 would be better. It is not. It is terrible. Useless. Lame. If samsung notes was a mountain, it would be Mount Suckmore. Not only will I not buy a Note 8 because of this monumentally crappy app, I am uninstalling from my Note 5 after I write this. I just hope I can do it fast enough that the collosal suck of this app doesn't bleed into the excellence of the S note app on my phone.

It had started working again but i still like normal paging like old snote. Because it would be so much easier to export the notes to pdf and share with other ppl. This version feel more like notepad. I like word version more.

Action memo needs to be brought back to the mighty Galaxy Note. It's a feature I love to use to create a quick reminder note, or use the 'link' feature to create a contact or call a number. Please do Note 8 Justice and bring back "Action Memo" in its full glory.
