Flamingo for Twitter for Android
I really like this app. It's slick, easy to use and looks great. The only real issues I've found are: 1) there's a pause of around five seconds when refreshing the timeline, happens most of the time. The app is frozen during this brief period. 2) deleting a tweet only seems to work when doing it on the main timeline view. Deleting it after clicking on the tweet itself doesn't appear to work.
I had been looking for an app which could save tweets, not limit searches and provide more functionality. The simple things also, like remembering where you stayed in a feed instead of going back to the start. I had never found one in Android, until now. I'm impressed. This is the best twitter client I've found, and I've tried plenty.
swiping up/down near the sides of the screen will occasionally trigger a swipe action (like pulling menu when I'm scrolling down a feed). recent updates have made it use a bit too much ram sometimes at least for me (regularly hits 100-150 MB)
This is the only Twitter app I use and the developer did a great job. Definitely worth the money. Since the latest update tho I've been experiencing a lot of "unfortunately Flaming has stopped working". Maybe iron out some kinks? Otherwise fantastic app.
This is probably the best Twitter client on the Play Store! Switched from Talon due to the amount of customization and tabs. One issue I have with it is the notification of users the 'followed' you. The alert compiles the total amount of people that followed you and there is no way to select individual accounts. Please fix this!
Tried many Twitter clients and this one beats all of them Edit: I can't but praise this app. I don't really use Twitter, but this app has made the experience that much enjoyable. Great job Dev!! 10 out of 10
After exploring the app further, several frustrations arise. Firstly, there is an issue with notifications not being pushed, so I only ever really know of interactions if I check the app manually. Secondly, when tagging other Twitter users with @ or searching for # the suggestions are just bizarre. Rather than the most likely candidates, it seems to just pick users and tags at random.
I always thought that buying a client for Twitter was completely stupid given the fact that the original app was free. But compared to Fenix or others, this one got me curious and I honestly thought I would get a refund 5mins after testing the app. But it's just a gem, no regrets on any cents spent, it's just so good, I'm so glad I bought it, really try it.
Flamingo, right by the side of Fenix, is the best Twitter client, with customization options I couldn't even imagine. The new way of handling notifications really solves problems that were annoying in older versions. Keep doing the good job and have my money!
Hate the tablet mode. I've actually uninstalled and gone back to the stock app because of this. Should have a choice. My tab is the Galaxy S2 with loads of screen space, looks rubbish when using this app.
Why is there no sensitive content filter? I have it set up to do so on my Twitter i don't understand why you wouldn't have it carry over
Last update (push notifications) doesn't work 100% of time - you need to have official app but still you don't always get all the notifications... also timeline doesn't always refresh so you have to close the app & reopen it. Otherwise, it would be 5 stars without any doubt.
The font size is small despite increasing the size , when I select huge it becomes ugly. Please fix. The app is perfect this should be the official Twitter app period
I love this app. What happened to the individual names of those who follow you? Now I get a group of people who follow me but I can only see one name. Can this issue be fixed?!?
This app is super well made, loving it so much. Especially the instant notifications via the original Twitter app. It is missing a few things however, a tab that has your mentions and also includes which of your tweets have received likes and RTs, much like the original twitter app is missing. DM groups don't exist in flamingo which is kinda sucky. In the activity tab, when I click to see "x and three others followed you" it only views x's profile and doesn't detail who the other three users that followed me were. Pretty consistent Twitter user so I'll continue to use the app and edit this post if there's anything else I feel is missing, thanks for your great work! I love the app so far. :)
My new RTs, favs, and follows aren't appearing in my activity tab. Which is pretty useless tbh
It's easily the best twitter client on play store right now and believe me, I have tried almost all of them. It's clean and easy on the eyes without compromising on the functionality. Once under the hood, the amount of customisations it offers is seriously amazing. Keep up the good work dev.
This is a great app. The api is smooth, but I do have a few suggestions that I think would help make this app exceptional they are to add tmi or twitlonger instead of cutting tweets in two. Also show how long someone has been on twitter and also been able to tweet from a second account without coming out of your main account, basically intertwined account switching. Also bring back the feature of been able to follow back your new followers and not putting them all together. Thank you.
One of the better 3rd party Twitter clients, however not sure why there is a donate ($3.99) tab on the paid version off the app.
This app would be good, if the push notifications worked. No way to get in touch with the developer. Ripoff!
Smoothest app on my galaxy s8. The scroll experience beasts the hell out of Instagram.
This is by far my favourite Twitter app. You can get pretty deep with the customisation and it just looks beautiful. Event works smoothly. Would recommend to anyone over any other third party app or the official app.
Best Twitter app on Android (and iOS for that matter) by far. There's nothing any other app offers that this one doesn't. Superior design, genius use of the official Twitter client to repurpose notifications, and endless customization push it far ahead of the pack!
Nice client. However keeps crashing when I switch between the three twitter accounts that I manage.
Add post type filter (link, photo, video, text) pn timeline as well, not just in search option.
Best Twitter client of choice. Has all the features I need, while holding on to the concept of material design with tons of customization options.
The latest push notifications feature as claimed is not at all working!! Have the official Twitter app installed since beginning
Please update it's running very slow and takes to long to open up on my phone . Please fix
Like notifications aren't working and not showing how much like did I get in my tweet. Wish it to be fixed. Still great app for me beside those small bugs.
This force closes alot when I try to like a tweet.
It is a great Twitter client. Beautiful interface, smooth scrolling. However, the recent update had increased the memory consumption greatly of this app. On average this app takes more than 200 MB of memory.
Why the hell I need to install official twitter to get push notifications to the app I purchased for replacing the official and ugly one
Was the bees knees but latest update has the app running slow as molasses
Long time Falcon Pro 3 and Fenix user, now have found a happy home with Flamingo. This is easily my new favorite Twitter app.
The ability to fine tune the use and look of this app is outstanding! Being able to inject color into every element of this app makes you read twitter in an enlightened mood.
Awesome app. But sometimes my tweets don't go through. And it would be nice if the scrollbar was a more distinct colour in the darker themes. I can barely see it.
It's highly highly customizable. I just recognize that it starts to give me my notifications late. Can't work with that
Wonderfully responsive developer, and hugely customizable.
Easily the best twitter app on the play store. The design style, customisation options and solid programming make this run like a dream!

This is THE BEST Twitter app I've used and I have them ALL. From Fenix to Talon, I can definitely say I love Flamingo the most. The fact that it looks and feels more robust than the aforementioned Twitter clients is a HUGE plus. I wanted to find an app that didn't 'feel' like it was a 3rd party app, but rather an updated official app. And this is exactly that. Massive thanks to Sam Ruston on the notification side of things, he really thought that through. Although you need the original Twitter app to allow seamless notifications on Flamingo, it's hardly a deal breaker. Definitely give this a try. You won't regret it!
