SMSToExcel Backup SMS in Excel

At last... a backup/export sms app that actually did everything it should!! I solidly love this app. I've now backed up all my ancient messages and deleted them from my phone. Can get them from Excel in a much more readable and quick way, and have scheduled backup for current texts. Brilliantly thought out and fantastically executed bit of code. Congratulations to the developers, it's awesome!!

App will not let me copy backup file to Sandisk dualdrive using their app (sees file but won't copy), nor using settings on this app. This is a Moto G2 which has no SD card, and your app does not recognize the dualdrive. Also, I only see my sent messages.

This installed and downloaded all text messages (about 6,000) in seconds. The whole process probably took just under a minute. Messages are grouped by conversation in date order. A couple of minor improvements would be to have the downloaded file automatically open and then to have the column with the txt contents in wrapped. But these are minor and this is definitely a good job! Thanks!

Really like this app. I can keep my business relayed messages and once in excel (a program I am very familiar with) I can sort, print, filter, almost anything I need. LOVE IT!

It does not export all my Inbox texts for a particular phone number. Cannot figure out why certain messages are excluded. Understand why some of my sent messages are excluded because they are too long not case for the inbox ones. Other than that it works great.

-ok, useful Schedule + Import + password option -Excel & app heavier than "SMS to Text" -hard to sort when Date & time in 1 column. -miss some incoming msg

4th App I've tried. I have no use for texts 'received'. I need the entire conversation. Reading the 1☆ reviews from the Apps I uninstalled many are looking for this App. It may help to add one more screenshot of what the Excel report looks like to show that the full conversation is captured.

There was an update recently and you changed two things: Messages no longer say -> or <- when sent or received. This crippled my search/replace organizing in Excel. You also changed the way dates are displayed which excel no longer recognizes to auto correct them so I have to manually adjust each one. You killed my entire format which I have been using since 2013. I'm at a loss now.

my choice. i am inviting 8,000 teachers to install this.

This is exactly what I was looking for. A clean, filterable, schedulable SMS backup tool that is easy to read and gets both sides of the conversation. Great job!

Great app. Exactly I was looking for. It exports all sms conversation in MS Excel and I can sort and search any msg I want. App don't require much space in your phone. Easy to export. It also shows Incoming and Sent msg with symbol.
