Its been TWO weeks and I've yet to receive my funds. Reader stopped working a year ago so I've had to manually input transactions. Customer service is non existent. Their phone number automatically hangs us and I've emailed them three times with no response. DO NOT USE SALON SWIPE!!!!!!!
THEY NOT ONLY HELD OVER A 1000.00 OF MY CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS, THEY WOULD NOT CONTACT ME WHY. THEN I CLOSED MY ACCOUNT TWICE NOW WITH THEM AND CONTINUE TO GET CHARGED RANDOM FEES!!!!!!! $ EMAILED OVER 70 TIMES IN THE LAST 4 MONTHS WITH NO RESPONSE.
Love Salonswipe. I don't have a land line in my studio, so using this app and card reader gives my clients the option to use a card. 4/1/16 New comment: I am very unhappy with the lack of customer support. You can no longer get through to a human, they direct you to email, which is not addressed. The additional monthly charges are not consistent, and this month they have charged me twice!
Last month salonswipe stop paying people basically last month I did my clients hair swipe the Visa card they took the money from my customer and didn't give me any money into my account I've been with them for over 2 years with no problems up until this year and it's not just me I've been on the internet there's thousands of people they stole money from last month they don't answer their phones and they don't answer emails so if you go with this company good luck oh yeah they took over $2,000 from me.
Now I'm being charged a monthly fee? No one can tell me why ?
Swiper doesn't work. Then I'm charged with manual entering fees. The PCI fees got charged 2 x in one month. $19.95 and I'm still not sure that I wasn't overcharged 2 other times. Going to switch
This app is terrible, do not use it. It's impossible to get in touch with customer service, takes forever to get your money and right now they have my account confused with someone else's. Download Square instead!!!!
Have two readers, neither one reads, have to manually enter card info. Have to periodically uninstall app and re install because it "freezes". Called company with detailed info and have no response or answer. Loved this service up til a few months ago. Looking for another service, maybe square.
I have tried and tried with this company due to my own personal customer convenience of not having to learn yet another new app. However the recent events have lead me to writing my FIRST REVIEW EVER as well as addressing their Facebook page directly. Deposits are never done in a timely manner, the customer service is the absolute worse I've ever seen. When trying to convey myself on Facebook I get a snarky response rather than a solution to a CUSTOMER PROBLEM. Goodbye to my staff and I's 100k per year.
No customer service and unnecessary fees haven't even used them for a year and a half... Nothing but bad news
The screen is always frozen on the "Create Account Sign In" page. Pretty embarrassing when trying to check out a client. And I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, that doesn't fix it
Sometimes it kicks me out, and freezes. Until I uninstall then reinstall. Once in a while, it will not read my "new chip" credit cards... Please fix this!
Without warning, fees are being taken from my account!! This was supposed to be a pay only if you use it program. I haven't used it since November of last year! It also freezes until I uninstall and reinstall the app. Ridiculous. Customer service doesn't respond.
This is the worst company I've ever dealt with they never charged for their product I haven't used their product in over 3 years and out of nowhere they started charging me $15 a month I called emailed over 40 times never got a response back I called my bank to get a stop payment and there's nothing they could do because the amount charged every month was a pennies difference so it would have costed me more to stop payment then the charge itself. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! !!!
I stopped using salon swipe in 2014. The reader wouldn't work often and it would take up to 6 days at times to get deposit.( Square is the way to go!) Now they are taking money out of past users account because we didn't "unsubscribe " or "close" our account with salon swipe. And they are charging monthly fee and a PCI compliance fee. I haven't used there service or ran any chip cards to not be in compliance.Now they will not let past users access there old inactive accounts to close them. Respond SS!
Have been using salon swipe for over 2 yrs. As all the comments below state, I have always had problems with my swiper not swiping cards, always having to manually enter them in. As well as recieved the extra fees even after calling and receiving 2 new swipers. Froze many of times and having to un install and re install over and over. Deposit weren't made in a timely manner and this month was my last straw with this company. My deposit were taking longer then ever before and now no call or email from them.
They are stealing from us!! I have been charged fees after closing my account repeatedly!! I wrote customer service a few times demanding my money back and permanently close my account-Nothing. Stay away from this app!!
Even though they say there are no annual fees, and the only fees are per swipe this is FALSE! The company started charging an annual fee, as well as a monthly fee without informing us about the change. There have been no apologies about the lack of professionalism they have used or the lack of communication. I will no longer be using this service.
I don't even have an account but keep getting charged monthly and no one answers the phone in customer service!!!!!!!! I am going to bank tomorrow to let them know these are fraudulent charges!!!
I have to reinstall app often it won't open. And it takes five days to see money in my account.

Can't sign in, customer service e-mails you back and forth however with no help. Very difficult for card to be read, clients get aggravated when they see their card being swiped 5x.

You need to make sure that the WiFi is strong enough or it could fail.
I've been a customer for almost 2 years now. All of a sudden when I went in to do a transaction I'm being asked to sign in my account. When I do it's saying that my email address is invalid. I love taking credit cards over money, I'm a hairstylist but, I'm also the SALON OWNER so this is SO INCONVENIECING ALL MY CLIENTS!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!
Keep getting calls and emails from company requiring my social security number in order to keep my account Open.. last time I checked I have a business thru this and not run personal credit cards. Swiper never works and have to settle on higher rate to manually type in.. could've been a good thing. Not worth your time get a square
Used it for about 2 years. Reader never works but I still paid extra for keyed in transactions. Yesterday I gave up. It wouldn't work at all. Enough is enough

Stoped working after update
I was liking it until it tells me my email I've been using is now invalid. Tried to get support but no help so far. Now i have to call this week's clients to tell them I'm no longer accepting cc until this gets fixed. Please help!
They get a 4 because "Isaac" the customer service representative I spoke with got my issues resolved and was thorough, thoughtful, and humble. Even Apologised to me for my issue. ( The issue : Changing my Bank Account info.) Simply, they got it right AND followed up to make sure. I have never had an issue with the signup process, and like that the app asks the client if they want to add a tip, then once complete with the transaction, will send a receipt to your client if they choose, and one to you too.
I have emailed Salonswipe trying to ask why I get emails saying my bank details are incorrect and the transaction declined because it was a duplicate transaction and I NEVER got a reply. This is bad customer service! I simply wanted to know if I need to collect the funds another way but I never heard back. It's pretty frustrating. The one good thing is the low charge rate but if you're not even getting the funds then what good is that? Salonswipe, you need to step it up or you'll be losing customers.
Double charged my client and won't return my calls, unable to speak to live agent, not impressed at all!
The card readers don't work well at all and are very cheap. I've gone through 4 of them and it's embarrassing when it takes 15 swipes to get it to read.

Tried to process a refund request thru support. I received one reply...and then nothing. Contacted them two more times to no avail. Won't use again. Can't risk losing customers over an app when I can manually process a refund or void a transaction thru my bank's POS machine.

Takes almost 2 weeks to receive money. They just started charging 20$ a month without notice. And rasised there %. Switching to the square.
