Safely Go

I was looking for an app that would force us to put our phones down while in the car, and this works great! It allows calls through if you are connected to a hands-free device (my Bluetooth in my car for me), and blocks all texts. Even better, is that the texting party gets a reply back stating you are driving and will reply soon. Still better is that I can customize this reply message. Just don't exceed the 160-charachter limit in your reply message. If you do, the app will shut down when a text is received and allow the text to come through and not reply to the texting party. I loved this app and used it all the time without ever having a problem. I think my phone autoinstalled the latest update and now it won't launch when I tap the widget on my home screen. I tried activating the app through my apps menu and it will open, but it still won't activate like it's supposed to in order to block my calls and autorespond to texts. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but still having the same issue. Will improve my rating of this app once the issue is resolved.

Just downloaded the app a week ago and when I turn it on it mutes my phone, but allows texts to come through without responding to them. Also allowed me to access apps that were not set as available. I would enjoy this app more if it worked properly

New phone, droid turbo 2, still your product does not work. Come on Verizon, let's get with updating this app so it works with all your phones. Older review...I love using safely go. But today it has not been working. I hit the widget and nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing.

App is nonfunctional on my HTC ONE M8. Opened and configured the app, noticed it wasn't on while driving and read that it has to be manually activated (total turn off, by the way) so tried that and no dice. Hitting the button in the app just sends me to the home screen and the widget does nothing. Dev should consider adding GPS detection capability as an opt in for users (like myself) who would utilize the functionality.

I pressed on the widget and it wouldn't turn on, so I went in the app and pressed the button and it just closed the app. This app has worked flawlessly until now, and I hope this can be fixed. I also tried reinstalling twice and it still didn't work. I'm on a Galaxy S4 with Android 4.4.2

App closes when I get texts instead of responding. Does not drain the battery like other simular apps. Does not need GPS. Does not monitor your speed like other apps. Other apps will turn off when you're at a stop light or railroad crossing. This app keeps going until you turn it off. The VIP contacts is a brilliant idea. You can also make emergency calls, so have no fear. You can use it for more than driving. You can use it in class, or when visiting family. Good job on this app. I'm happy :)

Don't Text and Drive! Free, great, well-designed app that helps you take responsibility for keeping eyes on the road. Prevents texting and driving--hopefully will save lives. Directs incoming calls to voicemail and holds text messages until you are done driving. Please install and use!

I wanted to use it for an auto responder but it doesn't work... I've turned on auto response and stayed on the main screen and nothing. Do you HAVE to be driving for autoresponse to work? I see auto reply on but the app doesn't actually auto reply despite being check marked in settings. Help safely go Dev team! 8-7-13 Yes I am still having problems even after pressing the green GO button.

I had a minor problem that turned out to be my error. When i commented, the author's response was almost immediate and offering help. Another commenter made a note which told me what I was doing wrong and now all is well. Good product and service!

Don't waste your time with this app. It is useless, doesn't work. I even emailed them for help and what do you know......I get an auto reply stating the person is no longer an employee,with a link redirecting me to AVG website. Guess they no longer want to support the product. Will uninstall and find something else.

Does not work on Galaxy S5. Once fixed, will give full stars and a better review. Just does nothing when I click the "go" button. I contacted the support and they said that they know about the problem but don't plan on updating the app.

I thought this app was a great but when I was getting ready to drive, the app turned my phone to vibrate and closed out of the app. I don't mind it going to vibrate if it worked like it was advertised. Very disappointed!

I absolutely love the concept of the app. But, my auto-reply doesn't work. I turned the app on manually and no auto-reply was sent. I'm a new driver and I really think this app will be helpful in disciplining me. I just need to to work!

Needs some imrpovements. But lately it doesn't auto reply to txts for me, and it lights up when a txt comes in so kind of notifying you something came through. Why wont it auto reply anymore?

I like the app and am glad to have it! I like that Safely Go sends a text to let callers know I'm driving. I remember life before cell phones & texting but even I can get sucked into a dangerous habit. Thanks Safely Go!

I had thus on my old phone but now with the galaxy s5 it doesn't work. It tells me to put a widget on my phone which I do but once I touch the widget it does nothing. Extremely disappointed

Safely Go only seemed to work on the initial start up on my Galaxy S4. Every other attempt to start the app since the initial start has been a failure for it to start. I like the idea it automatically replies to text, as I normally just turn my phone off and put it away. With the app failing to open, or start, it looks like I will be going back to that route.

I used this app successfully on a prior phone. However on my HTC One (using version 4.3) the app turns itself off when a text comes in without performing the auto-reply, and it leaves the ringer volume off. Basically it is useless now. Uninstall and reinstall did not change results. Will be 5 stars again when fixed.

Almost had an accident this morning when another driver pulled out in front of me. He was on his cell phone and did not see me. I'm done using my phone while I drive! Awesome interface & widget. New step before pulling away...right after I buckle up. Need to watch out for the bad drivers out there for my sons safety and mine. Thanks for a great app!

This app has become a critical necessity in today's society of impulsivity. it can always be turned off but getting into a routine helps you be safe and other people understand that it is dangerous to answer text messages while you're driving

This app was work great, I had no complaints, but I think to most recent update has a bug. I try and use it and it doesn't do anything. Hopefully the engineers figure it out. But right now I have to drop my review down from 5 stars to 2 stars.

The app used to work for me and it was really great! But ever since the Android update it stopped working for me completely. I'll change my rating if you just help me out and fix it. I really loved this app but now it doesn't even do anything

Got it all installed and configured but when I select the big green button the app just shuts down. Using Android 4.4.4 on a Galaxy S5.

I have a Galaxy S4. I downloaded the app and set all of my preferences . Then I tried to press the green go button and it just took me to my home screen. Then I tried the widget and nothing happened. I was really excited about this app. But it does not work. So I will have to find another one.

I recommend this to everyone however, I just updated the software on my phone and now it doesn't work. ***IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THEY PLAN ON UPDATING THE SOFTWARE TO WORK FOR KIT KAT. SUPER BUMMED. LOVED THIS APP.***

Samsung Galaxy S4 model SPH-L720T, Android version 4.4.2. Pressing the green button just exits the app. Doesn't work at all despite setting up the app correctly.

App does not send auto reply says text fails to send, not happy with it at all!

Loved this app until my Verizon update a couple days ago. Now it doesn't work at all. I even uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still doesn't work. I'm so sad. I can't find another app that compares.

The app is great and keeps u focused on the road while driving! One thing i would fix is for the light not to flash to let me know I've received a message! Not knowing is better and less tempting! Other than that the app is great!

I'm giving this app 2 stars because it was wonderful on my other phone but now I have a Galaxy S4 running kitkat and it's not launching the widget. Very disappointed because I really liked this app. It provided exactly what I needed.

I've had this app for awhile (and it was awesome!) but now it just never opens. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the same problem persists. If I tap the widget or the button in the app itself, nothing happens. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3.

I would like more connections for contacts, and but I really enjoy the way my "tuned in" app opens to the car mode.

This should be mandatory, wonderful app. Don't have crash issues, and don't have to worry about gps killing my battery by the time i get to my destination. And i can change the outgoing response message as much as I like. I love it, I highly recommend it. Keep up the good work guys!

Love this app.. I'm a huge texting person and lately I have been texting while driving and after almost hitting another car, I knew it was time to take the pledge

For safety while driving, it's great. Requires some fine tuning when you first install the app. Make sure that this app doesn't duplicate the actions of programs that were previously installed in your phone, or you will have problems that are difficult to solve.

I've been using the app and loved it until the recent Sprint update to KitKat (4.4). The app will not even load/start up anymore. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing seems to work. Crazy that everyone cries about safe driving but there are zero free apps available that work.
