About Power On Indicator
Power On Indicator simply flashes the device LED slowly, letting you see at a glance if your device is powered up. Note - most Android phones will not let any LEDs flash while the screen is on, so turn your screen off to see it work.

This application was written to overcome a hardware design flaw in the HTC Desire. When the Desire screen is off, there is no way of telling if it is powered on or not. The only way to switch on the screen is to press the power button, which boots the phone if it was off. This frustrating sequence led to a lot of accidental boot ups, and popping the battery out of the back of the device to stop the load sequence.
I wrote this app to blink the LED allowing you to be sure your phone is on or off.

Thanks for using Power On Indicator! I hope you find it useful. I must point out though, controlling phone LEDs is very difficult for software developers. Often there are reasons why the LED won't blink in ways I cannot fix. For example:
1 - You must exempt this from task killers or it won't work for very long.
2 - On most Android phones, all LEDs disable when the screen comes on.
3 - Not all phones support all settings. For example, a hardware limitation means the HTC Desire will only flash green once a second.
4 - Dragging your application's notification bar down disables all LED flashes for a minute.
5 - Enabling Direct Mode in other LED controlling apps will interfere with it.

Just downloaded this app for my Samsung Galaxy Note 5 I can make the led indicator light flash at any colour I want and I can set it to flash to any second I want and also I can see if my phone has ran out of battery yet if it is at 4% if it keeps flashing green i know it hasn't automatically shut it self down I've been trying to find an app like this to see if anything like this exists and it does very good work love this app!

Also needs to be dimmed slightly because it might fry the light. WORTH FIXING THIS APP AND COULD MAKE GOOD MONEY IF WORKED SO PLEEEEASE FIX!

This app works really good on my RAZR maxx. I installed it cause I love when the little colorful LED lights up. Yeah it lights up with texts and what not but with this it lights up all the time. And fyi it works with the other LED app for notifications called blink but I don't think it works with light flow.

It works for a time but as soon as i tun my screen on then off, it will not flash again unless i open the app again. Please fix it. And thank you! :)

The thing that I missed the most about coming over from my BlackBerry to Android was the ability to have the notification LED blink based on the phone's current state of service. If you could add an option to disable the notification LED or change it's color if the phone is searching for service, I will change to five stars,

Thank you, Harry Lascelles! This very light and non-intrusive simple app is just what I was looking for to help find the phone in the dark and to see if the phone is on from a distance. So far, the app doesn't even register on the Battery Usage graph function in phone settings. For those with USA version Samsung Galaxy S3's (and some other phones too it seems), the colors are not correct when selecting them but there are only eight color choices so try all the color selections until you have the color you want (cyan gives a perfect deep violet color that's easy to see but not overly bright). The LED does not blink either but I don't want it to and a non-blinking solid indicator is not in the app's options settings so I'm actually glad that doesn't work.
