Very simple storyline... I would say this seems geared especially toward the younger ages. I like that they included the difficulties Beethoven faced, but without too many details, focusing instead on how Beethoven felt. I think that kept those aspects of his life accessible and appropriate for this age group. As a musician, the only odd item I came across was the mention of a childhood teacher named "Nymph" who was a major influence on the young Beethoven. I'm pretty sure they meant "Neefe" (Christian Gottlob Neefe). However, the app's controls are easy to navigate, the illustrations are pleasing, and the wording is perfect for young children. My 2 1/2 year old loves this app!
