About 7 Weeks - Habit & Goal Tracker

All it takes is 7 Weeks!

7 Weeks is the easiest way to develop a new habit or goal or break a bad habit. Based on Charles Duhigg's bestselling book, "The Power of Habit" and the X effect method of completing goals, 7 Weeks combines the two and creates an ultra simple strategy of completing one day of your habit/goal at a time.

Every day that you complete successfully, simply mark the day as complete! Each day you complete gets you one step closer to not just making or breaking a new habit or completing a goal, but it increases your motivation, willpower and discipline.

Scientists believe the sweet spot for developing a habit is right around 7 weeks, so once you have completed 49 days straight with little failure, you can be sure you'll have developed a positive habit, broken a bad habit or completed a goal.

With custom alarms, a beautiful material design interface, flexible weekly goals and multiple customization options for each habit, 7 Weeks is the best app to get you on track to making your habits and goals.

7 Weeks+ brings even more power to you!

For only the price of one cup of coffee, you get:

- Two fully functional home screen widgets
- A gorgeous material design interface with 15 stunning color themes and a light theme
- Multiple new customization options for each habit/goal
- Customizable notes for each day of your habits and goals
- Unlimited custom alarms for each habit with your own message
- Quick access to checking off habits from the main list
- Habits/Goals on certain days of the week or a certain number of times a week
- The ability to go longer than 49 days and shorter if desired

and much, much more!

And if you simply share the app on Facebook or Google+, you can get 50% off the upgrade!

I also love hearing from my users! Send me an email at ryan@7weeksapp.com and I'll guarantee a response to any email you send me :)

So what are you waiting for?

Simple, clear, easy. I like it so much I have just paid the very small one-time fee to upgrade to premium. SUGGESTION: As some activities, such as certain physical exercises, are best performed every second or third day, it would be great if such legitimate "off days" could be recorded via a third option, I.e. not as either o or x, but as, say, an o with an x inside. These "off days" should not interrupt Streaks.

Best habit tracking app out there. The pro (plus) version is WELL worth it. UI is just generally better all round and the amount of added functionality is incredible. I use this app to keep track of my good and bad habits rather than trying to make a habit in 7 weeks. It's so helpful to easily see how often I'm drinking or meditating - I do weekly reviews in my journal and use this app to grade how well did during the week regarding self control and focus. Extremely powerful if used correctly. Kudos Dev

I70%
by I####:

Easy to use. Straight to the point. Clean, simply design. I appreciate that I don't have to start the habit the day of adding it, & can go back into the calendar & customize (I had a few habits I started before thinking to download the app, so it was nice to have that ability). Only thing I have an issue with, which is the reason I'm uninstalling, is that there's no backup available. I recently received a new phone after my old one died, & wasn't able to restore any of my habits. Overall, great app if you're okay with that issue.

X70%
by X####:

Every morning it gives you a little enouragment phrase to give you hope for the day. Then at night it reminds you to check off your day. The only thing I would change is when you hit complete. Instead of it being an X. Make it a fill in square or something. Other than that app still gets 5 stars. Well thought out.

E70%
by E####:

I love the app. Really keeps me motivated, especially on those days you see you missed - keeps you going. But I have an issue with the widget. The arrow buttons dont seem to work, and why am I limited to only 2x2 size, or a 2x3 size? Its really bugging me. Could you fix this? thanks

X70%
by X####:

That's what this little app gives you. It is so satisfying to mark off the x of another completed day. It really does help you keep on track. The only thing that I would change is when you complete the 7 weeks. I had thought something would happen , even Solitaire congratulates you when you finish a game but with this nothing happened. Otherwise a great app.

This app has worked wonders for me! The only problem I can find is that I think the current day is a bit lagged behind because sometimes when I get up early the app still highlights the previous day. But it's not a big issue, and aside from that it's perfect! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to track their habits

X70%
by X####:

This app has done amazing things with my perfectionist attitude. I used to make long impossible to complete lists that I couldn't finish. Everyday I felt like a failure. Now I list only a couple of things and I can finish my days finally. From time to time i add a couple new things and I'm able to finish those lists too. I feel free from failing everyday. Thank you so much for creating this app!

Y70%
by Y####:

I ordered the premium and i think for the price of .99 cents, its WAY more valuable and efficient than the other, costly apps. Glad i invested in this worthwhile product. Only request would be for reminders to have customizable ringtones/noises

X70%
by X####:

Being colorblind, it was too hard for me to read the text. Was about to message the developer then thought "Maybe I should RTFM". There it was, all kinds of visual customization. And it does help guilt you into staying on track.

X70%
by X####:

It makes no sense to me to have successful days marked by a RED X! I don't know about you, but in my school days that clearly signified a fail. Uninstalled.

X70%
by X####:

Hey there! I paid for the full version and even still I have this generic "did you complete your goals today?" reminder. I don't want this notification. I could turn off all notifications for the app but that kills the goal specific reminders. I also can't check the current day from the main screen even though I paid for full. Re: "You could just dismiss it." I don't want noisy notifications that don't add to my utility. This is a notification I don't ever want to interrupt me. Re: "You mean the widgets?" No, I mean when I open the app, the landing Activity that hosts the list of habits I'm tracking. In the upgrade path, it shows that you can mark the habit as completed for the day from the landing Activity. I'm unable to do that, though, even after upgrading.

X70%
by X####:

Really good app. Needs tracking for # of times per day, the red X for complete is kind of confusing, maybe a better graphic for connecting the 7 week chain and a passcode lock but for a buck or two this is my mainstay habit building app! The widgets are great!

B70%
by B####:

I had a problem getting the app to update when I bought pro. The customer service team responded to me within 2 hours of me posting my problem and helped me fix it within half a day. I'm now enjoying the app the fullest extent. Thanks so much! (Previous comment) Hey. I bought the upgrade a couple of days ago so I could access to widgets, but this isn't reflected in the app. You keep asking me to upgrade again. Why is this happening? And can you please fix this?

X70%
by X####:

However the app is the app that crashes most on my phone causing my phone to try to uninstall it. If this could be fixed... reply to dev: i sent an error report after this most recent crash thanks for the reply. Hope this gets fixed soon

I have yet to start really using this app but the concept seems good. I have set a habit start date to be one week from now, yet I'm getting these daily notifications like "you can do it!". While I appreciate the motivational spirit, save it for after the habit start date.

X70%

(1) doesn't track streaks or records, does not say like 5/10 (streak 5 / record 10) so I can see my current streak over my record high score. As of now I would have to count manually how many days in a row I did the habit (2) confusing UI (2) what about daily tasks? Weekly goals? Monthly goals? Twice a week? Twice a day?

X70%
by X####:

Short story: I paid for an app that is impossible to access. Long story: I decided to purchase 7+ in order to have a better, cleaner interface. The company took the money. However, 7+ only randomly appears. There is no icon for 7+, so you must open the free 7 app first. If you wait enough time, the app will SOMETIMES transition to 7+ however, it doesn't always do this. Therefore, I spent money for an app that I cannot access or use. Do not waste your money buying the paid version of the app.

But I also think if that thing is front of you everyday.. you feel like doing it.. like if you look it in a positive way (Doing pushups) this is the best.. but if your target is not smoking or not doing anything this isn't adviced.. Maybe the developers take this is an innovative way and think for a solution? :)

X70%
by X####:

I really love the flexibility of this app in setting reminders and days of the week or amount of days. The interface is simple and nice to look at. I've found it invaluable in keeping me on track and helping to break some depressive streaks. Definitely worth the minimal price to upgrade!

X70%
by X####:

This app really helps me keep on track. It's not annoying, yet it reminds me about my habits at good times. I love to check off days and it's good to see the progress for each habit. It's a cute little app!

Y70%
by Y####:

So i paid for the upgrade and it looks exactly the same. What am I missing? I haven't found the option to get the upgrade here. Update: Ryan was very quick to address my concerns. User error most likely. So all in all the upgrade seems to be working well.

X70%
by X####:

Much cheaper to use my own calendar in my phone and notebook to. I don't think it's worth the money. But it's a very great concept tho. Especially for people whom really struggle bad with certain addictions. Much love to your app. But I'm uninstalling. Thank you tho :)

Never knew I needed an app to break bad habits and create good ones but I'll be giving this a shot. Really great, uncluttered look. My only request is a way to sync the status to my tablet.

X70%

This is a pretty simple app based on a compelling idea. I've been using it for a couple weeks, and it does what it's supposed to.... The pay version was a bit disappointing. I'd like more options on the widgets, and really it seems that the option for doing something x times a week doesn't do anything that isn't already being done in the free version... Maybe I'm missing something?

X70%
by X####:

I've used this app every day for the past 3 months, and it's been a fantastic experience. Among other things, it has helped me break my bad habit of watching YouTube videos for way too long before I got out of bed every morning. After using this app for a while, I've noticed it could really use a way to archive completed / no longer relevant habits as a way to unclutter the habit list. They start piling up after a while and I don't really want to delete my progress.

M70%
by M####:

Just started using it.. Want to tell developers that date format screen is quite hard for non technical person, instead of dd/mm/yyyy you can show example date I.e. 12/12/2011

X70%
by X####:

Would be nice to let users try the pro even just for a day? :) I'm not sure if the pro has the functionality of listing "Today's" tasks in a certain page and let the user mark them as done that's why I'm hesitating to upgrade. This feature I'm talking about is like in iPoli. The journey ahead page :)

I bought the plus version, and I love it! Great alternative to a notecard, and I actively use the widget . Suggestions: When you reach the end of a habit (the habit-breaking time you set at the creation of a habit,) it just says "You've completed this habit!" and forces you to reset it. I wish you could choose to continue indefinitely after that, without a time goal set. Also, if you set a habit-breaking time but you mark a lot of days incomplete, at the end of that time you'll still see "You've completed this habit!" which isn't really true. I wish punishment for incomplete days was more severe, maybe a time goal reset, maybe something less dramatic.

X70%
by X####:

Great little app. Would be good to add a function for goals that are more frequent than daily. Also a way to set prompts that don't necessarily need to lead to a snooze or complete. For example, I'd like reminders to do something even if it isn't something I'll necessarily do until later in the day. Snooze length could be made specific to each goal.

X70%
by X####:

App is too bland and boring, even at the paid level. Not recommended till they add more features! Wish there were more fields in the new habit section, so we can add more details, and also have the ability to colour code the habits so we can organize it better and perhaps a category section so we can sort our habits. ie: habits to improve school life, work life and etc. Un-installing app till some more things are added.

J70%
by J####:

Its really good, a simple habit of getting up early can also be achieved... Can't think of any improvements, seems perfect at this point...

Q70%
by Q####:

It's a good app, but widgets should have a free option. It's stupid to offer widgets that says "only in pro version". I would rather to not have them at all.

Q70%
by Q####:

Doesn't sync; doesn't recognize pro account. Also, widget doesn't reliably update if you enter info within the app.

Q70%
by Q####:

I like it, having tried other apps such as Habit Bull, Fabulous Me, etc. The interface and workflow is much more focused, and doesn't overwhelm. But one thing that almost all habit trackers are missing is a web app to complement. I hope 7 Weeks can be among the first, since I've invested into it and bought the premium version.

N70%
by N####:

It works great and it's simple and easy to use, but it's annoying just how many times it asks if you want to upgrade.

Q70%
by Q####:

What value is behind this? If I add all things in notes it's silly same... Even if I haven't trained for weeks Im getting the info that Im doing great. Really motivating. I would also never pay for the + Version as such simple functionality should be already in the normal version.

H70%
by H####:

Can't sync because there's no account feature whatsoever, no export/import features and so on. And now it's just randomly stopped responding! Thank God I don't use the reminder feature. Still annoying though.

Q70%
by Q####:

Like the app, keep up the good work, but there are one annoying bug in the premium version, sometimes it switches back to the standard version, lucky, I don't have to pay again. The app is good, so fix this coz it's annoying.

Q70%
by Q####:

This is a wonderful app to help keep you on track of your goals and habits. Making or breaking it provides you with the tools and visual aids to keep you focused on the prize. Design wise it looks great, functionality, it is hard to find anything it is missing. And the developer is quick to respond to any issues or suggestions you put forth! Highly recommend this app!
