My Russound

I normally don't write reviews BUT I had to speak on a great product. Simple to work and control multiple zones within any zone you simply press the cog in the top right corner and all your options are there including party mode and designating a MASTER to control over all zones. I would suggest to add the Xsource to handle all the streaming its definitely worth the cost because all the cover art and services come up on my phone or tablet. Connectivity was a issue at first but once I fixed the ip address on my router

I use Pandora more than anything else and I love how easy it is to get access to my stations and to give thumbs up/down to get my favorite music on each station. The handy favorites icon at the bottom is great for quick access without having to navigate back through menus to find what I want to play the most.

This app needs a overhaul. The "all off" button is hard to get to. And grouping of zones would be nice. It's annoying turning up the volume in one area then having to switch zones and hopefully getting the volume to match. We need a way for Google Chrome cast to show album art while streaming Google play music. As well as Screensaver or background options would be nice for the xts

I've been using this app for a year now after having used apps from several other manufacturers and I can tell you this one is as good as or better than anything else on the market. It's intuitive, responsive and looks good. What else is there?

Are you ever going to update this app to a point where it is useful? The UI is very outdated and the functionality is spotty at best. Having to input the IP address every time you open the app is garbage.

Ever since the latest update, I now see the same room listed twice, three or even four times depending on which room. I have static ip addresses for all 8 devices. I've uninstalled and reinstalled as well as performed hard resets on all 8 devices.

App worked before my system updated. Now that I upgraded firmware and I can actually use the app it takes forever to connect to my system. Frustrating. Update the UI please!

App not working on android device...S5. Just hangs with message 'connecting to system...". Thought it might be a network issue but connecting fine using my ipad.

Slow and crashes frequently. Customer service told me to try a different router... Like I have those laying around.

Does not connect. I used to have it for Apple and only worked half of the time. I cannot even get it to connect from my Samsung S8.

My question is concerning the functionality of the Russound App. I own a CAV 6.6. Has been in storage since 2010. I absolutely loved the system and everything I could do about 10 years ago when I bought it. Now that I am about done with complete home renovation and wires are run, and CAT 6 is run, my question is, do I still need to use the Wall mount key pads that came with the CAV 6.6, or can I replace the pads by using the Russound App? I have recently purchased the Perkins product that was recommended to me. So I believe I'll be able to have the connection needed. I haven't installed the system as of yet. That will happen in the next few weeks. I just want to set a plan on how I get to use the system while using today's updated technology. If there's anything else you can tell me on how to ""modernize"" the CAV6.6 I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks for any assistance and support.

Every representative I've talked to so far has been helpful but I downloaded the new firmware and I have the option for pandora now but it shows its playing on The keypad and my phone but I can't hear it. It freezes as well. I have a new galaxy s7 and good WiFi.

Great app but I don't seem to have the Spotify

Good app just lots of lag. I just put android n on my phone and it broke this app...

Ever since the new update the app doesn't recognize all my receivers it constantly freezes up had to uninstall and reinstall now it doesn't even register my IP address

Like the app but it definitely needs Google play music and iHeartRadio integration. I can't seem to figure out how to use the new launcher feature either. Overall it's a good app. Keep up the good work.

This app crashes 90% of the time on both note 4 and tab 3. It is just about unusable. I've submitted feedback numerous times and have not received a reply. Is there a user interface for Windows 10?

Why does the android app not look similar to the Apple iPad version, this should be possible in this day and age.

Not an android App at all. I have a Nexus 6. There is no good way to exit the app . As others have mentioned. ..the back button on the phone doesn't work . well with the Nexus the back button or home button isn't even available . EDIT: I agree that the XTS works well. The swiping down does work on my Nexus. I still however feel that this app doesn't properly support android. The "back", button on the phone does not work as it should. Also I shouldn't have to swipe down to access my buttons

Won't install on my Android 4 tablet. No landscape mode. Customer service will not help me and can give me no specifics on update . I am hopefull that new version will work. Was told it would be out October 1st...still not out.

I work for a company that installs custom sound setups for professionals and businesses and we've had a lot of interest in Russound setups - especially the C-series. The hardware is great, but this app is atrocious. For starters, hitting the back button to return to a previous menu closes the app. Pretty much every commonly used android app uses the hardware back button in this fashion, but the way Russound uses it is exactly the same as the home button. This is extremely frustrating to explain to customers, especially the non tech-savy that don't understand that we don't develop the app. It'd be very nice to see the hardware volume keys control the volume as well, this is also confusing to the non tech-savy customer. The interface needs some work, the app is sluggish even on an overclocked phone, in many cases a part of the interface will load, usually navigation, while the menu context is still loading and if you click any navigation element it will generate odd results, sometimes resulting in you having to restart the app altogether. Spotify will not work, I'm assuming the Spotify app updated and this needs to be fixed on Russound's end. Lots more issues than I can fit.

I was about to give a 5 star rating to this app, after using it for a while, with it working perfectly. Then, then update came and all fell apart! Not working anymore! Please fix! Update 06/10/15: App not working again! Was before recent upgrade. Pls check!

Works nice but..NO LANDSCAPE MODE on Note4 Android! Good luck using a wall mounted android tablet in portrait....please fix this...PLEASE.

I still can't find pandora or even have the option and still can't play any of the music from my Android. My wife's I phone airplay is the only thing that works :(

This App does seem to work now with Android 5.0 or better. I determined I had a IP address conflict on my local area network which I had to resolve before my Android devices would connect to the controller. My iPad connected without an issue. Does what it says now. No complaints!. I would recommend you set a fixed IP on your c-series Russound controller to avoid the issue I had.

Latest MyRussound download onto my Samsung Note 4 cannot find my C5 system after the IP address was entered. Moreover, of our 6 iPads, the 2 that were updated stopped working; 4 that were not updated continue to work. There must be a bug in the latest version/update. I've spent hours trying to install/uninstall without success. We are seriously considering changing out my C5 system for a SONOS system.

Older version was stable. Upgrade does not work on my android phone!
