Sleep Better with Runtastic for Android
Firstly right from day one it worked really well and was my favorite app, but ever since I paid for the app it has only worked 50% of the time. Now since the latest update it doesn't work at all. Can you tell me how to fix it? As the alarm won't turn off (90%) or when it does the app doesn't respond or crashes.
Super easy to use. Simple graphs that are easy to decipher. Occasional ads. As with any sleep tracker, not sure about the accuracy. But I can definitely tell it reads when I get up to the bathroom and things like that. Side note, since this app uses the mic, if you tend to fall sleep with music or maybe soundtracks playing, especially through your phone, the app will track you as fully awake until the music stops playing. I mainly use this app for the smart alarm feature which I love. It wakes you up within a 30 minute time frame depending on your sleep cycle and they have nice soft alarm tones. I do wish I could adjust the time frame (Sleep with Android app I believe has this capability) but I liked this app's overall interface and function better. Overall I would recommend.
I agree with some other comments. The ads in free version, the music on alarm, and turning off alarm turns off tracking. I have yet to figure out what the little sun beam between the zzzz and wakeup symbol means. But i can SEE some things about my sleep.... especially differences in my sleep vs work out days. Ect
This is so annoying. Sometimes when all I want to do is turn off the alarm, the music just WILL. NOT. STOP. I even had swiped up my phone screen to stop the music and put in my mood & dream type. But the music just didn't stop. I had to turn my phone off because otherwise the music would've just kept going. Also, it oftenly doesn't show me any results even if I've slept for hours and the alarm works. It doesn't track my sleep, but it just shows me "0%", and that's it. It's such a shame because I actually like the app. But sadly sometimes it's like this.
I used to love this app but lately it's been very annoying. I'm not the most coherent first thing in the morning so on top of trying to turn off the alarm I'm also trying to navigate through "sleep session not recorded" notifications, location requests, and screen overlay notification (I use a blue light filter) EVERY morning just from the app. Not to mention the frequent ads and promos to download the full version. Very irritating when you've just woken up.
I have only used this app once so far, but it works. I am one of those people. no matter what time you wake me up, I'm gonna complain and roll over and try to sleep a few more minutes. Last night I got 4 hours of sleep (not a lot). This morning, I woke up and I felt awake. I didnt roll over and go back to sleep, even though I only slept 4 hours. I felt refreshed and ready for the day. The app really did wake me up at the best time possible. 5 stars for me, I'll never be late for school again!
This is one of the best apps I have ever used in my life...super accurate and the display is very very good. Couldn't recommend this enough. thanks to the team who deloped this. helps me keep a track of my sleep which is very very important for anyone. I will buy full version only as a jesture as free version is too good too....
I love this app... The only thing that sometimes is a bit annoying is that if by mistake (because I'm just waking up) I close the app, the alarm will just not stop unless I reboot the phone. Positive thing about that is that I will definitely wake up hahaha although it should not have that bug.
1st night using this app and it has already piqued my interest. It gives pertinent information that I can actually see on my sleep pattern...light sleep, snores, awake, sleep effeciency...perfect! I have a sleep study coming up at end of month and this app's information will be very informative..I look forward to using this every night now. It's easy to use...THANK YOU!
Turning off the alarm but continuing tracking. Sometimes when the alarm goes on I decide to keep sleeping for couple of hours more. This means also turning off the sleep tracking, resulting in messed up statistics in the end.
A lot of ads popping up all time (around every second click another popup), therefore only 4 stars. App has what it needs, the waking up option works pretty fine. The sleep analysis seems quite accurate.
I wanted to like it, and in theory it seemed like a good free app. However, on the first night, this sucker made my phone overheat. Placed it somewhat differently on the second night and it still overheated. No thank you. I don't need my phone melting and causing a fire near my head. Deleted app.
I've used this in the past i believe on iOS and decided to try it again. For a free app, this provides pretty extensive and detailed data, as well plenty of options. However, there's one flaw I've noticed: If your phone accidentally drops into the hard floor, would be nice if the app would at least detect it. Mine apparently dropped early in the night and when I woke up it showed I had a 96% restful night. Would like it to at least ask me if the phone was disturbed so I don't have such a skewed reading. I really have trouble sleeping so info collected about how I sleep is very useful to me. Aside from that, this is a well made app
This app is fake. It says I was in deep sleep all night. It doesn't cycle through all of the stages. Plus to see anything you need to buy the full version. This app is a waste of storage don't download it
This app is so great, I cannot stress that enough. The smart alarm feature immensely helps me have a better wake up, and I really appreciate the many different alarm tones, as well as the other alarm settings. Additionally, I enjoyed the cleanliness of the design, and the dream diary/ how do you feel feature. The stats were easy to access and the whole app, easy to navigate. Overall, a spectacular application that you must try harder than it is worth trying, to find something wrong with.
Looking for an alarm app that is super unreliable? Then this so is for you, with the great feature of tracking your sleep patterns and waking you up when you are lightly sleeping (which would be the reason I downloaded it). This app comes with the ability of not sounding the alarm, yes the app runs but the audio won't happen which helps you sleep in on days you have work or school. And if it's not giving you a silent alarm, you will find yourself being woken up much earlier then the alarm is set, like I was woken up at 3am this morning. And if you think the developer wouldn't take feedback and improve the app then you are correct. No feedback button, no improvement, waking up earlier the desired, and many times not waking up. This app sucks, and if you want the ad free part don't waste your money.
I love this app! I'm a big time dreamer and love waking up and seeing how my sleep went and being able to record my feelings and how my dreams played out before I forget them. It helps me to notice patterns of how certain things make me sleep better and others make me toss and turn more. It's so easy to use and doesn't drain my battery while I'm sleeping either. It's been a great app to have!
I have yet to actually sleep better. It tracks my sleep but it does nothing in terms of changing it. I have the saddest emoticon selected every morning and it just says my sleep was 97% efficient. What does that even mean?
Great tool to see what kind of sleep that I actually get. We have a young one who still wakes up in the night. I don't have to stop it when I get woken up because it records it. Just found this out and that made it even better!! Way to go developers!!!
Its an ok app. It doesnt make you sleep better for sure. It depends on your movement to track your sleep. So.. if you be still for a while (even not sleeping) the app says you were in "deep sleep" for that period.. Im not judging. Just saying the app its not accurate. Even so.. it gives you some nice statistics (if you understand some of them - like efficiency?!).
I have just been laying in my bed for the past 2 hours trying to sleep, this app says sleeping 1.7 hours and 80 some percent? Really! How does that even work?
I have a lot of trouble waking up with late nights and early mornings. This app really does help me wake up the right way. In fact, it is almost the only thing that can get me up without me feeling horrid. Great app guys.
Useful. It lets me know the quality and length of my sleep. It is interesting that you go to bed early, set the app bit then read for an hour and this app lets you see you really did not the extra sleep you promised yourself!
Used it on IOS couple of years ago, no problem. Now on android, issue with sleep efficiency (always 1%) and alarm doesn't go off. Frustrating app, no answer to my mails to debug it, you should definitely never pay for this one.
It's better than Sleep with Android. The design it's more user friendly and the display of results become easier to understand. I miss a couple of things, the Samsung Health interaction and beign wake-up by Spotify
First, if you use the free version the ads are very intrusive and annoying. Then I buy the app because it works for me but I change my bed and now the app stop working properly. It's like a normal alarm because the app doesn't have the option to change the sensitivity for a bed more hard and firm.
Knowing how you sleep helps determine how to fix any problems you may have. I thought that once I fell asleep, I stayed asleep, boy was I wrong.
It's stopped working. The alarm is never triggered, it just keeps tracking - if I then close it without swiping up to stop, it'll keep running in the background and track me *all day*, then say I've been sleeping for nearly 24 hours when I open it again that night. I'll be deleting this if the bug isn't fixed, I'm afraid.
Paid for the app, tried it 4 times & it didn't work every time. Sent the log to the support team after when it prompted me to do so every time & they never got back to me. Ended up deleting the app & losing the money I paid.
It needs to be improved... I've paid for it and using it for a month, but are very few functions. And there's a bug after saving my sleep when I woke up, the back button is not working :( maybe I shall invest in Sleep as Android on the future.
I've had the app for quite a long time and it was fine but when I switched phones, the app has gone a bit strange. Before I go to bed I turn it on to track my sleep, but in the morning when I go to turn it on, it crashes. Then there is no record of that night???
It's a lot more useful than other sleep tracking apps because it actually breaks it down into deep sleep and light sleep; however, it went off a half-hour earlier than it was set for this morning, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. Hopefully this was just a glitch and won't happen again.
Hey can you guys please add a fade into the alarm so that it isn't as sudden. That is the only reason it's not a 5 star rating from me. Great app tho!!
It sucks battery life..but it's great when you rate your dream and your mood after waking up. I can write some notes about this another weird dream.
Ever since the recent update, it hasn't saved any recordings. It also won't calibrate. I don't know if this is my own accelerometer or the app itself but I do know it corresponds to updates. I will change this as things change.
It doesn't accurately track your sleep. Although it has nice featurs like moon phase and dream tracker, the app over rated the quality of my sleep.
Pretty good sleep app, the best I've used. I'm gonna be stubborn and say I wish there wasn't a paid version and you could get more stuff for free.
Was going to keep this app but after one night and aggressive awakening in the morning I am going to bin it. Hopefully the developer will introduce a gentler increase of the sound volume and introduce an off button. Sometimes I like to sleep on.
Using this to track my sleeping pattern, really like the display on this one easy to read, but you definitely have to leave charging all night, which is a bit tricky if you don't have a socket by your bed, so I use an extension lead.

Really nice GUI but very little options. It would be nice for it to give the chance to add more custom details of what you did (or what supplements you took) during the day to have more data to compare in the long run. The sleep phases graph is also very small and not easily readable. One last curious thing, other apps usually report a deep sleep time around 60% while this app reports 90-91%... something odd about it.
