Runtastic Road Bike PRO for Android
There are issues with the gps tracking. And I m having trouble with the measurements. How do I connect with the support team?
The app is great in general but would be even greater if we could share on facebook using then full data screen of our workout or the map or even a picture we desire rather than the simply annoying runtastic logo...
The only real big problem with the app is that I cant use it with my pebble watch !!
Bought, and it kept saying checking network connection. Cant log in and it is now useless.
What's up with all the constant advertisement and pushing of your other products? I've spent €5 on this app, give at least an option do disable it all.
tried the free version and like it then bought the pro for 4.99. The day after they have the pro for free
Great app. But what happened to the Xiaomi MiBand suppprt. The HR sensor used to work before the latest update!
Not compatible with s7 edge!!!!! Whyyyyyy??????
Great app... Love it...
Does exactly what is says
Best road bike app
Awesome Application
Love it!
The app was working awesome and was very accurate. For the past year or so since some of your updates it killes my true mileage. Shows me riding through lakes and through buildings cutting all kinds of corners. Would just like to have it as accurate as it used to be. And yes I'm paying for it. Getting ready to uninstall app and cancel subscription. Now keeps shutting down after a few miles.
Update 3/1/2017: got the polar h7 ble heart rate monitor, wont pair with it. Mapmyride pair with it fine. Update 11/6/2016: deducts 1 star for removing a previously working feature: ant+ heart rate support. Original: other cycling app requires you? to sign up for monthly service to give you heat rate stats.... Not here! It has some quirks ( can't plan route; can't find max speed?), but overall solid app
I really like the software, the post-exercise details are a nice touch as well! What I would like to add though, is a widget to home screen through which I could start an exercise straight away (as there are in some other software). Also, not everyone is so interested in sharing and sharing, I really would like to opt out of that if I feel like it. After every exercise I have to cancel the sharing part, as it is default somehow. Despite these two little things, the app is really good! Ps. Fitbit hr to app?
The app often stops unexpectedly during rides, losing precious data. Just tonight I lost all the details of a 60km (I think) ride apart from the duration. Bluetooth is spotty. Cadence keeps crapping out and apparently my heart stops multiple times on the ride. I do not have these issues with other apps. I need a reliable app to measure and record my training and this ain't it.
When riding the bike the maps don't display in the direction of travel. Following a route works well by keeping your eye on the line but if you happen to be riding South its upside down and you have to figure this out in your head. Also pausing too long loses the route unexpectively and to restart this the current tracking has to be discarded or saved and the route regrabbed and so tracking restarted. There is a lack of spoken guidance to the route, although the app has some rubbish like cheering, does anyone do that? Also when finishing a ride a smiley face and keywords about road surface and who can ride it have to be answered. Rubbish for navigating on the bike.
I use this app to record my rides' distance and durations because unless you use speed and cadence sensors, instantaneous values are inaccurate. I would like to suggest some improments; landscape mode will be better usage of the map, battery usage is a little bit high a low-power mode can be added, creating or editing routes with this app would be awesome. I haven't encountered any logging in or false gps data problems.
Then asks if I want to add continue I don't care over this app.does it evryride.i do the suggested fix get Google maps going.nothing. don't use this rubbish
The app stops half way through route. Although the map ahows the correct route the distance is wrong. I started and stopped in the same place and the ascent and descent were different to the tune of about 50 metres and different to the same route travelled last week - this app is not to be trusted.
Was a decent app 3 years ago (bought it for a reason), but the almost complete lack of upgrades now make it lag behind other similar apps. (One revamp, but no new features for 3 years!) And the little development there is is also for the worse - the last update was so buggy, the app now hangs (loses time/distance) during almost every ride. Despite complaints, no bug fix/new update for almost a year. Don't waste your time or money on this!
everytime i open and start an activity, my mobile signal gets lost. i use an allview viper v2 x.
Can't test without creating an account somewhere. Won't work offline. Waste of time. Edit: What a moronic non-response. You're the "toilet scenario". There is no "standard practice", all apps that aren't craptastic can be used without a bunch of assholes leaching data. Especially paid apps.
Didn't manage to download any map at first try, app crashes frequently during download. Also, on the downloaded opencycle map, there's an annoying watermark "API key required".
Heart rate monitor don't work. The program crash all the time. Sharing in facebook works one in a week. Fix it!
I love this app. Gives you accurate reading of your workout and plus extra details as dehydration, level of elevation gain or loss both in number and as well as in pie chart diagram. I love cycling daily and was thinking of buying an accelerometer for my cycle but it was costly then I found out about this app and after using it for the last two months I am in love with it. It saves your routes, gives you a statistical feedback of your workout on daily basis as well as on monthly overview so that you could easily keep track. It also allows you to click and upload a picture from your workout or the route taken
data mining app! don't fall for this. also, why do I need to create an account? garbage
Je m'en sers de plus en plus donc j'ai décidé de prendre la version pro. La pause automatique est un vrai plus pour suivre son progrès physique sur un trajet quotidien parasité par les feux. Dommage que l'application ne supporte pas le mode paysage par contre.
Work perfectly and tracks the activities very accurately. Though one feature is missing, it would be better if we have a widget or shortcut which can start activity with one click directly from desktop right now we need to open the app and start activity.
It's not working for me, after starting an activity it tracks distance for only few metres but the duration continues, i have good GPS signal
Abusive permissions (contacts, location, microphone, storage). Also no direct e-mail support, starts automatically in the background after phone startup, when locale changes, and when widget updates, and poor support (useless, unhelpful, unrelated replies).
Only using this because my tracks is being discontinued by Google. Despite paying for the app and signing up for a subscription I am still bombarded by notices to go visit their website for more awesome things that I care nothing about. The tracking will also not work when you have another app like Google maps that also uses GPS running in the background. It gets the job done though so for now it'll do.
Since the recent update the app is just one annoying heap. Pop ups for Runtastic products they changed the history view to be a long tedious process. Will be cancelling my premium and going elsewhere. Unless it reverts back to old do not use it
Of the several biking apps that I've downloaded and uninstalled, this one is worth keeping. Easy to use and has the features I was looking for. Worth the upgrade to the pro version. Also like the interaction with the website features. But even at the sale price, the premium membership is too pricey as I'm not a fitness fanatic.
The app itself functions well in terms of recording my activity but the constant pop ups, ads trying to sell me premium site features and intrusive behaviour of the app is terrible. I've bought and paid for the app I shouldn't be seeing any other adverts anywhere.
Unsubscribing to Runtastic's endless stream of e-mails (a.k.a. spam) is impossible, both through Google's unsubscribe link and the unsubscribe link contained in Runtastic's mailings. (A practice that's highly unethical at best, and likely indicative of an overall attitude toward customers' wishes.) You only go around in a circle trying to stop what's now considered not-so-fantastic spam by me. Instead, I've had to create a filter to send all Runtastic e-mails directly to the trashcan. And, app uninstalled for that reason. I'll find another app, if even an inferior one, and a developer which doesn't bug me to death after buying their product.
I used to love this app, but now it crashes all the time. I can't even complete a 20 mile ride without it crashing and shutting down at random. I have an older Galaxy light phone.
Nexus 5x I like the app, and want to keep using it but goodness gracious this is one buggy app. 1. First of all it slows down the entire phone to a snails pace while this app is running. It takes me sometimes nearly 30-45 seconds just to turn my phone on, go to the app, and pause/stop the running session 2. One time it totally changed the date/time on my phone. changed my clock to like October 2016. This screwed up all the stats in my ride 3. This app and the mountain bike should be the same thing. Stop being greedy POS and merge them. Lastly, hire an SQA team.

Thankfully, the app is now running gloriously on Android 7. I love the app and have for over a year. The metrics are accurate. The audio feedback is handy. The reporting is robust. And it runs Google Play Music for me. Recommended.
