Seconds - HIIT Interval Timer for Android
Excellent app. Does exactly what you want it to. So clean and simple! I spent so long looking for this exact thing. And their customer service is excellent. I messed something up with my phone's text to speech plugin and thought it was their fault. They took the time to direct me where to go to fix it rather than just saying "it's not our fault". Buy the pro version. Definitely worth ever penny.
The app is really good for what it is trying to accomplish. I wish there were some analytics to track my progress as well as a way to link my Wahoo fitness tracker. I think the editing work out is very tedious. Maybe create a way to set your actions, then set how many sets and have each set a duration? I don't know. It'd a good app that could be great.
Firstly - the free version makes you type in the workout every single time - what a waste of time. So it's a must to buy it for it to be any use whatsoever. Fair enough I guess. Secondly - no pun intended - the seconds counted ARE NOT EQUAL - I'm not going mad because I've seen it in other reviews. Some are literally longer than others. Madness.
The interface is the best I've seen. It's also the only one I could find that lets you mix several different intervals in one workout. I haven't tested this theory, but to my eyes the time it takes to tick one second is inconsistent. When it counts down, it will announce "3! 2!" in quick succession, then pause a bit before "1!"
Free Version is useless. Paid version is by far the best custom timing app for workouts that I've tried!! HIT, 5 rep power lifting, oly lift session, cross fit style cardio, a paced run... you can program for it all. Then stop it in your pocket, play your favorite music app and still hear all the voice timers go off when you need them.
I've always loved Seconds Pro, and that's why I went to download it to my new phone. The total bummer to me is that it won't save any of your intervals any longer. Now you have to buy the 4.99 version in order to get the save feature. ???? So what happens when I have to buy another phone? I have to pay another $4.99? I'm no longer interested in this app.
Crashes far too often. Especially after the timer is done. No way to clear finished timer from notifications screen. Good presets. I want to buy the paid version to customize and save, but won't until issues are fixed. Is too expensive for a 3 star product.
I really like this timer, cause I can finally read the exercises (the display layout gives plenty of room for that) and I don't need to use text-to-speech. If I could ask for improvements, they would be the option to set an auto-pause on some intervals, in case I need to throw a set of reps in the middle, and also a search bar to quickly find a workout, since I saved tons of them into program folders. Other than that, thumbs up! I've been using it for almost 2 years now, and I still love it.
I work full time and a mom to 2 kids 4 and 2 and this app helps me get that quick work out in at home. I am one to get bored quick of watching videos on YouTube and this app allows me to pick what areas to work out as i go. Love that it talks to me for what to do next. Seamless transition
good app but some of the things you get free on other timer apps aren't included in seconds. being about to save work outs and leave options the same as they we're last time. but good working app.
I like this app but I've had to uninstall it due to the fact it drains battery like nothing else. Unless it's plugged in, a 20 minute session will cause my phone to go flat. A shame because except for that it's very good.
This app is great. I was looking for a circuit timer with seconds between intervals and rest b/t sets. You can also program unilateral exercises. Thumbs way up!
Was hesitant to buy, don't usually spend $ on apps but this one is incredibly worth it if you want to keep up on workouts! Love it!
If the rating pop would not have popped up every round, I would have giving it a 5. Not everyone likes to give ratings.
I love that I can create effective circuit training workouts with timers so I know exactly what I need to be doing and for how long. Use it almost daily. Buy the app! Way worth it.
Crashes far too often. But for that it would actually get 5 stars. Shame.
Excellent timer. Only problem is that it doesn't duck my music streaming apps properly. If this was fixed, I would give it 5 stars.
Easy to use, and works great. I don't know if this is an option, but I wish you could use the boxing sound scheme with all the timers besides just the round timer.
My crossfit class always used this timer and it was always so officiant so when I moved to a different state I downloaded the app to do my own workouts and it's so helpful! I love it. It makes my at home workouts feel less scattered and it's easy to set up and use. Would recommend!
I liked this app a lot more before it kept asking me to rate it... enough already. It's not like it was free. Also, the warm-up timer on subsequent rounds is only half the timer
Excellent app, easy to use, can build in flexible timings within one set of circuit training. Plays music from playlist. Easiest and most variable of all I tried. Well worth the small fee.
I like it is really good just doesn't let you save it. If you press the X for mistake you have to write the exercises again but other than that is good app
Great app. Understand why the free version won't let you save workouts but just one would be good. Otherwise 5 stars...
The app is interrupted asking to be reviewed- literally all the time. Not cool for such a relatively expensive app
This app is fantastic for workouts at home and at the gym. The only downside to it is that with the free version you must type in the workout/change the options each time. However, I no longer see this as a problem. I do one workout often enough that it doesn't take me more than 10 seconds to fill in the workout. Overall, great app!
the USP of Seconds is for me the big letters during a countdown. I use it mainly for time boxing group meetings (in Scrum) and I put the phone somewhere everybody can see the timer. Beside that, it is very flexible and for home I created some weight training schema and was able to fully customize it. I recommend this timer!
Does what it's suppose to do. Keep interval times and tells you what you typed into it. Simple yet effective. Use it for Frank Medrano workouts, easily tells me when my time is up.
Great basic app. If you're not able to add multiple sets, make sure you do an update.
Perfect for variable time intervals as you can set different for each round. You can share your customer timers via link and others. I would like to see a duplicate feature so you can add prefilled rounds and then adjust as needed to save time. Great app!
One of the best apps I've ever used. I use it for piano practice and it is perfect. It's good for making sure I don't spend too long on one subject, K keep things moving. Bought the full version, no regrets whatsoever. Highly recommended for musicians!!
Well worth the money! Once you configure it, it's like having your own coach, albeit with a kinda dull voice... Keeps me on track with all my timed routines. Totally reccomend to pay the caffe latte for it!
As a timer, this app is great. I use it to time the exercises in my workout sessions which it is totally suited for. What I can't abide is the constant nagging for a rating. For that, I give it poor marks.
I purchased the pro version in June of last year. Why is it that once I purchased a new phone I have to buy the very same app again, for this reason I'm not interested in the app any longer. This is so unfair to the user because phones are usually changed often.
Basically get the full version or no version lol. They don't save your settings AT ALL in the free version so you would have to make it brand new every time. Its a major pain, basically forcing people to buy the full version or suffer.
Pop up to rate in the middle of a workout annoying. Won't set a minutes rest in between rounds of tabata so have to time the minute myself and then restart the round again. Also annoying how you can't leave the app to go to another app without losing your input and having to start again.
Best customizable interval timer available. I have tried all the others and this is the only one that does what I want in a simple manner. It is easy to customize workouts and make different types of timers such as super sets, circuits, tabata timers etc.
Only app I can find that allows variable intervals so I can pre-plan my whole workout rather than other apps that only allow you to repeat the same circuit over and over. Great app, I won't use any other.
Use it for HITT training for my group workouts. It keeps track of the time, I don't have to; so I can concentrate on my clients. Love it!
Maybe it's good for some people. I just want something that dings every thirty seconds without being too complicated. Deleted.

I use this app for almost every workout. It's great for HIIT days in the weight room and cardio HIIT training. My man and I just completed a circuit using the circuit timer and it was great! So sweaty. Only thing I wish it did was say what set I was on. I do upwards to 10 sets sometimes and it would be a supportive boost to know how far I've gone and how far is left! It would also be helpful to know to go ham on the last set. Overall, dope app.
