Why It's the MOST POPULAR 5K Running App (reviews from the iPhone version)
---------------------------------------------------------------

IRONMAN LISTENS TO HIS OWN MUSIC"
"Not only did this app give me audio alerts telling me when I should run or walk, but I was able to listen to my own music from my iPod list instead of some other person's preference of motivational music."
– Matthew Murphy
Completed first 5k by week 7 (in 0:27:37). Has since done Ironman!

GREAT-GREAT-GRANDDAUGHTER OF EMILY POST NOW RUNS
"I have NEVER been a distance runner – hated running warm ups in high school, was always the last one done, huffing and puffing the whole way. While I had heard of interval programs, I had never tried one or thought I could do it... until I found your app. It has been the missing piece that allowed me to break my weight loss plateau."
– Lizzy Post

FROM 365 POUNDS TO RUNNING THE 5K... IN 6 MONTHS
"In February of 2011, I weighed 365 pounds. I decided it was time to change. I began to look at programs to help beginning runners. I was convinced that this app from Bluefin Software was the best choice. On July 4th, I ran a 5K! If you're thinking about starting to run, I can tell you - without hesitation - that app from Bluefin is the best start."
– Mark D Rucker
Completed 5K and 10k. Signed up for half-marathon on Oct 23, 2011!

This used to be an awesome app. But now everyone there is an update to android I loose the additional features of Bps tracking. Also I can't access my journal entries. It was awesome 2 years ago or so but has steadily gone down hill. I'm disappointed because I used to rate it a 5 star app. Someone please give this app the update it needs to be great again and restore the added version to my phone which I have paid for at least twice.

I bought this app because I loved using it with my iPhone in the past. But the android version is glitchy, crashed every time I tried to add music to run with and no longer contains summary of run information at the end including pace in kms etc. Please fix!!

by T####:

My friend is using this for her iPhone and it's amazing, but it is TERRIBLE on my Android. The app doesn't even work properly. I tried to purchase the GPS capability, but it won't load. The music doesn't work, I can't move to the other screens, etc. Use Couch to 5k and save yourself a headache until they fix this one.

Disappointing. GUI looks patched from other screen size. Sloppy. Product works, but just because I like a bigger screen doesn't mean I don't appreciate seamless, crisp design too. :-( Disappointing.

Really love this App on iOS but on Android you can't see the full screen. I can't even access the setting to change the voice or count down. It's really horrible on Android wish I never paid for it.

by Z####:

I love this app for the program. It's a great way to get started for someone who has never been a runner. Although I was disappointed that I purchased the full app so I could use the music feature and it doesn't work. I saw other comments about it not working on Android. That might be it. I've used the app on 3 different android phones and none worked.

Z70%
by Z####:

I downloaded this app and decided to pay for extra features. The GPS does not update and the app does not track distances or time of run. The music tab doesn't even open to ad music to a play list. I have 2 free apps that work better and are more user friendly than this $4 app. Don't waste your money!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!! I bought this app for the iPhone and loved it. On that device, this is a fab product. The android version is TERRIBLE. It prompts me to purchase the GPS feature -which was free on the iPhone - but then I can't make the purchase - absolutely nothing happens. When I hit the music menu, the app crashes. The menu design is also clunky. This re-purchase was a total waste of my money. I bought more than a year ago and these problems haven't been fixed, so I'm pretty sure they never will be

App crashes every time I try and play music. Design is clunky, does not fit screen. There are better couch 2 5k apps, spend your money elsewhere

Paid for this app on my new galaxy s4 and it's nowhere near as good as when I had it for free on my iPhone. It won't let me view journal of my runs as seems the bottom half of screen is missing??

Z70%
by Z####:

It works I just wish you would already add the extended part as with the iphone. When you complete a workout and they keep tracking when you are done. Can you add this? What happened to journal? I can not get this to come up on my android?

Z70%
by Z####:

Paid for this app back before it had add on features. Seems like features disappear periodically. I used to have a choice between male and female voices in alerts. Liked the energy in the female voice better, now I'm stuck with just the male. Getting ready to switch programs.

Z70%
by Z####:

I loved this app on my iPhone but on my HTC Evo 4G LTE, my times are all completely wrong. I've watched it while walking and the average pace time will shift from fifteen minutes to twenty-five minutes back down to six... within seconds. Not sure if it's a Droid problem but it's kind of a big deal. I still use the app because I like the program, but I have no idea how fast or slow I am going...

Installed on a galaxy s1 last year and couldn't play music. Installed just now on nexus 5 and it crashes when music is selected. How difficult is it to sort music out for goodness sake!!!!!

V70%
by V####:

I switched from iPhone to Android, and loved this app on the iPhone. it works well on my Galaxy S3, but what happened to the graphing utility in the journal? I loved being able to track my progress toward my goal graphically. Will give this a 5-star rating when they fix that. I hope it's soon!!

Never have been a runner until now. I usually get shin splints but this eases you in very nicely to running 30 minutes. Works with Spotify also.

It used to be good with no issues. Since the Android 5.1 update I can't select any music because it crashes when I select the music menu in the settings. There's no dev support, so 1 star.

Crashes everytime I try to load music. It is of no use to me. Would like a refund.

Great idea. Love Jim's voice and the bell, bad implementation. Day 1 Week 1 starts with "Ding! Warm up!" You then spend five minutes doing your warm up. All seems to be going fine. After five minutes you hear "Ding! Run!" Naturally you start running. On the first run you're supposed to run for 30 seconds. I ran and I ran and I ran. I'm thinking "Gee, this is a long 30 seconds" and keep in mind, I'm SO out of shape it's embarrassing. When I can't maintain my pace, I start walking and as soon as I started walking I hear "Ding! Run!". Excuse me? Normally I would say "Okay, well maybe I didn't hear it over the music" except for the fact that I WASN'T LISTENING TO ANY MUSIC AT ALL!!!! I was doing this in my oh-so-quiet neighborhood. I was pretty mad. SERIOUSLY? There is no "Ding! Walk!" notification? I spent money to have no notification to walk? Being the positive thinking kind of gal I am, I assumed that there must be a setting that I missed. Unfortunately for me, I wear glasses and though I can see to run, I cannot wear my glasses. I end up 4 times as hot. I couldn't look at the settings until I got home and no surprise. No setting! For this reason, I find it useless.

I used to love this app, but all of the things that were useful i can no longer access on the S5. No settings, no history, it looses history, no way to add music, nothing. Looking into a new app that actually functions properly.

Started running again after an injury, won't let me use GPS when I paid for it, crashes whenever you try to set a music play list, for some reason they've stopped support for this app

It will not allow me to upgrade so that I can add music, the GPS and the journal etc. My running partner has an iPhone and it works fine on her phone but it will not work on mine.

Back to one star. Promises of an update have not been realized. Submitted a support ticket for the crashing music bug. Got an automated reply from "Alex and Tanya" that my issue was "very important to us and we'll get back with you real soon." Update: received a personal message from Alex about 30 days from above reply. He promises an app update in the "next few weeks." On that basis I am revising my one star to three in hopeful anticipation. Galaxy S4.

Unable able to purchase in app purchase for gps, had previously bought for iPhone and loved it, but terrible for android, do not recommend. I Tried emailing company and no return response. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNTIL THEY CHANGE THIS APP. Unable to play music as well.

This is nothing but a very pared down version of the iPhone app. I have a Galaxy S5 and have yet to find a way to go back and look at my journal after I complete a run causing me to have to download a totally separate app to keep track of my total miles. The iPhone version has a bar at the bottom with a Journal Tab, a Music Tab, and a Settings tab. The Android version has none of this. When you start a run a music player appears saying you can add music from the music screen but there doesn't appear to be a music screen. At least I haven't found it. Until this is fixed I would recommend something else.

I used to use this on an iPhone, and it was fine. However, I have since changed to a Nexus 5, and I haven't even had a chance to try the app. As soon as I select "Music" from settings, it crashes. This is repeatable and consistent. I *could* use the app without music, but I don't see why I should. I paid for an app with music integration, and that is what i expect to receive.

I cannot see the journal or the map. I cannot see the progress. I love the program and it has helped a lot. Just want all the features I had on the apple app.

I used this program all the way through and completed my first 5k race last year with a good friend. We both had iphones at the time . Loved the app. The program does work. I now have a samsung galaxy s5 and I'm very disappointed in the set up. Not like on the iPhone at all. Used the program this am and ran with my friend and discovered that the programs are not the same. It totally threw us off. Not only did I have to pay for this app a second time but it's basically a completely different version.

I used this app when I had an iPhone and it worked flawlessly. After moving to an android device (and repurchasing the app) I am extremely disappointed. It seems as if the android version is an afterthought. The GPS is inaccurate, making logging and pace calcualtions useless. SAVE YOUR MONEY, this app isnt worth it.

Once this app was updated, I can no longer link to my external Playlist. It was great before this update, and this is going to be rough running without this. Samsung Galaxy 3.

I love the app, however I have one issue. I have a Galaxy Nexus and Google Music is my media player. When I create playlists in Google Music, the app does not see these playlists. (even playlists I create with on-device only music) Is there a fix for this, or perhaps I am doing something wrong......???

Not suited for my phone. Windows are off. GPS doesn't work. Everything else works. Its like they didn't care even after I purchased it.
