About RunDouble Couch to 5K PRO

Goes way beyond just a Couch to 5K app! GPS tracking, and now includes completely free "Fun Runs"

Couch to 5K by RunDouble runs in the background while you work out. This paid version includes full access to Couch-to-5K.

Master the Couch to 5K (not to be confused with the alternative plan, C25K) training program with this app, which prompts you through your 5K training. Choose a playlist from your music selection, and just get running. The app will track your total and interval distance, optionally giving you pace and distance updates as you run. It will also tell you when you are half-way, so you can turn around and head home.

Now works with RunTempo to allow adjustment of track tempo to match your pace.

Includes these programs:
- Couch to 5K
- Varying length "Fun Runs", from 1 km to 10 miles (FREE)
- Custom intervals and fun runs

Including a trial of these programs:
- Zero to 10K

- 5K improver - Interval training
- 10K event training

- Prompts you to change pace while working through the Couch to 5K training program.
- Tracks your time, distance and pace, announcing these to you at the end of each interval.
- Plays a playlist of your choosing, from your personal music selection. Or alternatively, use another app to play music.
- View your previous runs
- Additional pace updates at set intervals

I love this app and have been using it for years (I have an autoimmune situation, and frequently have to restart my training from 0), but I had to deduct 2 stars because my last two runs have had none of the announcements. I checked my settings and restarted my phone, etc., but all my usual stats are GONE. Very frustrating.

Probably abandoned app

I started off with c25k and am inching my way through the 10k program now. So I love this app based on the progress it's helped me achieve and simple UI. What I don't love about this though, is that it randomly loses sync with my hrm and then creates numbers that sound great, but are way off. Emailing support was useless, so now I get to manually add all the intervals into another app that doesn't tell me that I burned 1700 calories in 30 minutes

N70%
by N####:

So far I can't connect my FitBit Surge, nor can I connect to MyFitnessPal. Both simply cause the app to sit there doing nothing for several minutes until I force quit and start again.

Awesome app got me into running. Which I thought I can never Do. Thank u.

Several of my friends and co-workers are running 5K runs and have invited me along. I'm definitely not there yet. But this app is helping. It works with music apps so I can listen as I run. The directions are crystal clear (Start running, start walking). It also works great with my Pebble, with a quick glance I can see how much time I have before a merciful walk, which keeps me from quitting that last 30 seconds. And make sure to checkout the webpage after your run! You first see a chart showing your overall progress. Then you can break down into each run, with a map of the run broken down by each segment with its time, distance, and pace. This info helps for a quick glance to see how you did, or an in depth analysis of your runs. The website alone is worth the cost of the app! Even better than the app and the website is the developer. When I made some comments about problems (shin splints) on the RunDouble FB page, he quickly replied with very useful information AND moral support. I'm currently in Week 5, halfway there. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I definitely see this app as a large reason I feel confident enough to have registered for my first 5K!

I have never had an issue with this app in all the time I have been using it but tried to use today and all of a sudden it is saying unable to validate my license. I have purchased the pro version a couple years ago. Any idea why all of a sudden it wouldnt work?

Peer pressure... several of my friends are running 5K runs and have been inviting me along. I definitely am not there yet. But this app is helping. It works well with music apps, so I can listen to tunes as I run. The directions are crystal clear (Start running, start walking, etc.). The display on the webpage afterward (map of the run, broken down by each run/walk segment, with associated time, distance, and pace) is phenomenal! And now it works great with my Pebble, I can see how much time I have before a merciful walk, which keeps me going that last 10 seconds when I want to quit. But even better than the app is the developer. When I made some comments on the RunDouble FB page, he quickly replied with very useful information and moral support. I don't know if I'll ever get up to a full 5K, but this is most definitely a great tool in the quest. Now if someone could create an anti-shin-splint app... :-)

Tried to do the second day of week one and when I push start run it will not start, keeps returning to the the push to start screen. Not the easiest app to use if the problem isn't fix it will be deleted.

I never usually review many apps but felt compelled to do so after using this one. This is 2nd go of c25k and previous app i purchased did the trick but this one is much better. Knowing your stats and seeing them after the run is inspiring and.certainly motivating me to do better on run 2...like the breakdown of pace was great to see it on a graph. Awesome app have upgraded already

Really loud announcer (almost deafening) Poor interface (compared to others) Lack of control (over settings, volume, menu access etc.)

Worth the $1.60!!! Easy to follow, great announcements and makes the interval runs a breeze without having to time them

I have always hated running but this app has helped to keep me motivated. Every part of it works perfectly. Well worth the money!

The app seems to work well. It got my wife and I up and running together. It is somehow much easier to have the phone tell us what to do, than to hear another human. I'll update after we are done.

Was working great till my last run and the upload button has disappeared, what am I missing? Apart from that it has been excellent.

With three latest update I can no longer close the program. Finish works but the countdown continues so it doesn't look like it worked. The only way to close the program now is to turn the phone off. Droid bionic.

I'm definitely not a runner. Just finished week2day1 & feel awesome & motivated to keep going. Great intervals, maps, everything!

Works flawlessly on Galaxy Nexus, but doesn't seem to want to close. Dev is constantly updating so I'm confident it will be fixed soon. Thanks! 5 stars after fix =)

This program changed my life. Highly Recommend. I started this last Oct. I've done 3 5ks, a 10k, and a half marathon so far!

Im using this app for few weeks and I cant complain. Stable, interval/distance/time run, simple interface. Works very well on my low-end phone LG L3 II. Web app could show also speed not only pace.

X70%

It has never crashed, and it plays nicely with both Audible books and Pandora. The lady announcer tells you info and pace after each interval, and after your run you get lots of detailed visual stats too. I'm in week 5, and I'm thrilled with how far I've come. I'm actually enjoying running for the first time ever!

Just completed first run and despite free two week trial have purchased as can tell it's a great app. A quid to get me motivated, running and fit? Well worth it.

T70%

I've really enjoyed this app so far. It has a variety of programs (in the free version) that are great. The run tracking and statistics are good to look back on and see the progression as I've made improvements. I went on and got the pro version for the C25K program and it functions the same as the other options. It also syncs up so you can view the information through their website if you choose. I find it easier to work on my PC when reviewing data so that is nice. The next step will hopefully see some way of creating custom intervals/times. I'd love to be able to do a timing interval more than 30 minutes without having to resort to open run with no intervals.

I couldn't even finish Week 1 Day 1 the first time I tried it, and now I'm about to graduate and move to the 5k-to-10k plan. I love this app and tell everyone I know about it.

I started out about to die doing 3, 5 & 8 min runs but today I finished a 20min run with out stopping. I highly recommend this for anyone serious about getting into running. It's never crashed on me & I don't have to worry about checking my time.. I am about to start week 6 with so much excitement. I didn't love running before but I do now..
