Radio UK

Fairly basic GUI, with a robust selection of stations. Unfortunately, this app does not support Landscape mode *such as when connected to a monito or while typing via a keyboard on a tablet or phone), plus it does not stop playing when using voice calls, or when removing headphones (requiring a manual exit to the app). Stations sometimes play in slow-motion, too. Needs more work.

It would be great to see more local radio stations especially from north of London (which covers a large part of the UK). As an expat I miss local radio stations. Also, two stations seem to play at slowed down speed (unless my age is giving me away and I dont get the new style of music which is possible. After all years ago the in thing was playing music at high speed). Great app.

First two stations I tried played at 0.25x speed. Went back to them and they worked fine. Also ads pop up full screen after selection, occasionally crash the app. No 'playing' status etc. Good for free app though.

Superb app. Love listening to phone ins, chat as i go off to sleep & music during the day. Never any problems or interruptions whilst using the app. I would like a timer so i could time it to switch off at night as i ofen wake several hours after falling asleep & its still playing to itself. Nonetheless 5 stars!!

The internet radio is very good but the ads are very intrusive and are the type that claims you have a virus or your storage is full which is s lie and they just want to install rubbish on your phone.

I noticed a lot of comments about the stream turning off after some time. This is due to the new aggressive battery optimisation feature in Android 7+. This can be fixed. After upgrading to Nogurt, the radio stream stops after about 5-10 minutes when the phone is on standby. To fix this, you have to go to battery settings > battery optimisation > all apps > then turn off optimisation for this app. This sorted the problem. You could listen to it for hours nonstop. Thank for for this useful app! I see the only way this could be improved is with regards to the user interface. The transition from the first to the second page is not very intuitive.

Simple and easy...but has an annoying problem. When useing it with a blutooth speaker, the app loses connection to speaker every time a notification arrives. One has to reconnect every 10 to 20 minutes. This issue is the same on S7 and Galaxy Tab A6.

Works quickly and simply. Contains my local station KMFM hence 5*. Icons are too small, make them bigger and spread them over 3 pages. More stations would be an obvious improvement.

The app will pause the music. Its not a big deal but you can't make it play from the notification bar. So it would help if you would make a bigger play button there

It connects to non BBC stations, but when I try Radio 4 or Radio 1, it just says there's an error. Uninstalled

Dreadful app. I had problems with it at work on WiFi, I put that down to Wi-Fi. Got home and it's as bad if not worse. Absolutely shocking app.

Application doesn't shut properly on S6 edge and interface looks outdated. Why I need push arrow to change the radio station page if I can just swipe it

Hello! I found the problem, when the battery saver is on, the aplication is stopped. I hope that you can solve, greetings! :)

Idea why..sometimes it would come back but mostly not...........mmmm have to eat my words right now, had it on all day yesterday and it didn't dropout once ......found out it was my bluetooth speaker that was dropping out. No problem whatsoever with the app.

One minor complaint - no planet rock. Otherwise brilliant, works perfectly and has all the other stations I like. Fantabulous!!

I am in Cape Town, South Africa. Cool to have all the best UK radio stations here so loud and clear. Love the sport, (Football & Cricket) music and news. It's like visiting London again. Excellent. Nice idea developers. We'll done!:-)

Its a wonderful app.. I use it in Palestine, and its work good some time its stopped after 30 minutes of playing .... if you can categorised the radiostation according to their content... for example. News group and classic group and documentary group and regular station... will make it more eazy ro use specially for the foreigner people

Not bad, but it cuts out every ten minutes or so and needs to be reset. Very annoying. Does the basics though.

I can listen to all radio stations of UK here in India and it runs just smooth. Listening to heart as I'm typing this.

This app is great ! But I've reduced my star rating because after about an hour it cuts off and you need to start it again.....Not a big problem I know but when your listening so something great.. It gets annoying..... Fix that and I'll give it the 5 stars it deserves.

First of all, this app works as intended. No interruptions and I'm listening for more than 2 hours right now. Only downside for me is the user interface. The station logos are quite hard to recognise on a regular sized phone. Maybe a simple list in plain text cold be an option. And of course more stations are always welcome.

I like the idea of having popular radio stations in one app, but the ads are horrible. Clicked on my first station, and an ad video began playing loudly with sounds of machine guns and bombs! Uninstalled immediately.

Only one lack to be five star...it does not have option of time-out. Or I didn't find it. I use to listen radio a lot on my cellular, and before sleep I need it to turn off after a while. This doesn't: (. Hello from Romania. I like the stations you selected. Various kinds of music.

I am using this from Indonesia, the application often losing its signal after 10 minutes. So I have to check upon it to restart over and over. Sometimes I need to choose other channel before listening to the one I love most. I have no idea whether my connection is bad or the signal simply hard for my country? Maybe you should try to strengthening the signal. Thank you

Very nice in terms of keeping the connection. I was using Radioplayer but it kept cutting out when the signal was lost and didn't reestablish a connection which meant I had to dig the phone out of my bag and press play again. Radio UK cuts out less, seemingly doing a good job of buffering, and it picks up the connection automatically when the signal improves again. There is a full page ad at startup but this is easy to get rid of. The only annoying thing is that I don't seem to be able to completely exit. It puts itself into the notification bar and when I press the exit button nothing happens. This might just be a quirk on my HTC One M9. The only way I've found to completely shut it down is to go into Apps and close it from there. Nice but not quite 5 stars yet.

Radio goes silent when adds paper full page, and on dismissing the add the sound returns. The smaller box adds cause crackling at each change. Sporadic cut off of sound as long as an add is on full screen, but when it vanishes the sound returns. It ruins the app and if it's not fixed, I will delete. These is no point to a service that is ruined by cheap adds that void the use of the app itself. Oh...and this is on using the wan at home. Mobile data switched off.

After making a number of complaints to the developer, who acted on all of them this radio player is now the best radio app full featured and easy to use. For the features its pretty lightweight on the phone too which means the code is efficient. You have done a great job on this app, I love it and recommend that everyone tries it out, its great. A full 5 stars from me now !

After running for few minutes the broadcast automatically turns off. Can't fine the reason for the same.

I agree with kenn , love all the easy listening hits I miss so much ahhh the memories??? Sick of all the tub thumping rubbish elsewhere, thanx guys for the real music, keep up the good work.

I downloaded this today to get one of my favourite stations....BBC Radio London but to my great disappointment it isn't there!! Other than that it is too early for me to make further comment. Time will tell. Any chance this omission can be remedied? Thanks

No signal at work and listening to the one station I can get and having the bieber shoved down my through every 2 mins is not good for the soul, works great worth the download, cheers devs.

Limited to major network radio and commercial stations, but in West Africa that's all I want. It works and connects almost immediately with little or no loss of connection even in a city with slow 3G internet. Recommended.

Keeps cutting out and then freezes. I then have to turn it off and turn it back on a few times. Otherwise a good app

While the UI is very, very basic, I installed this earlier to use with some bluetooth headphones and since 'tuning in' it has provided uninterrupted high quality listening with pretty minimal battery use. Adverts are unintrusive full screen displays without sound and video, so they don't interrupt the music (yet at least). Is there an ad-free paid version?

It's fantastic radio channel all stations are working with pretty good clarity. Its really useful to improve my listening skills thanks to Android. I expect some documentary radio channels in the future.

Why DID THEY PUT SO MUCH ADS IN THERE IT BLOWS MINE MIND LIKE EVERY MINUTE THERES A ADD SERIOUSLY TAKE THEM AWAY!

I like it but It cut off every few minutes and need to close and restart the program.

For some reason the app keeps stopping music from playing, thought it was just because I was outside and running but even inside static it kept doing it. This needs fixing and it could be a great app
