Shaving Buddy

I have had this app for several months, and was learning to use it. I liked how easy it made logging my shave, so that I could learn what was working for me and what was bad. There are two things I thought I'd like to see: the ability to track shaves on a blade (uses) if you switch the blade to a different razor, and to export the data to a spread sheet. I was so please to see that the app has been updated and now one can track uses on the blade, even if swapped out to a different razor! There are many neat features in this app that has made it my primary logging tool. I still do a small spread sheet, but now the data gets entered first into this app. The premium version is well worth the price, to me.

Not a bad app except for the fact you can't manually enter in the blade's number of shaves. Paid the extra money for the deluxe version so i can list ALL my shaving gear in lists. I miss the ability to choose light or dark background. I still wish the app would let the user enter the amount of uses on the blade.

I would love to be able to manually change the number of times a blade has been used. I started the app when I was several shaves into using a blade, or I may use the same blade in another razor. Otherwise, this is a great shave tracking app.

There's a problem when trying to share images. 2 emails to the support and still no answer. Apparently, some money pointlessly spent.

Simple and effective, the UI could be better

Free version is limited to 5 entries per section. Any more and you need the full version at £1.99. I am not going to spend that much on this app. If it was 60p or so I would have bought it. Deleted as limited free functionality

Sharing feature needs fixed. Everything I try to share it says It can't access imgur, and to turn my internet connection on. I would also like the ability to rate soaps, creams, aftershaves etc.

This is very well thought out. On the surface it certainy serves well as a wetshaving diary of sorts. However, its integration into sharing with imgur takes it to a new level for "shave of the day" enthusiasts. There is some room for improvement such as a category in lather for soft soaps (often referred to as "croaps") instead of being restricted to just soap vs. cream. Additionally, a corresponding option is needed for categories in the" Aftershave" section such as" splash", "lotion/balm" or "tonic".

I like this app a lot. In fact as far as I know...it's the only app of it's kind for either iOS and Android ...so Thank you!!! I do have a few issues with the app such as editing the SOTD without having to delete the shave and re-enter all the details. But being an analytical (yes could be read as anal-ytical) i'd like more options of charting, perhaps line charts to show trends of the razors I'm using, not just a pie chart. Or at least the opportunity to export the history. I wish i could have given it 4.5 stars, as it really is a great app, just not quite there yet.

Works great for tracking eq and logging shaves. Few tweeks would be awesome. 1. Ability to track number of shaves before honing a straight, like it tracks uses between blade changes for others. 2. Filter out blade when best comp isnt a disposable razor. 3. Wish list for collectors.

Good way to track your shaves. A but basic in functionality, but still a very good app if you are shave-obsessed.

This app is great! I bought the full version in an instant! As a newbie, tracking blades is important to choosing the best. A great addition to the app would be to have custom categories for ranking. My overall shave is great, but I'd like to see the life cycle of each blade I use. I feel stuck having to rate everything based on the overall shave.

I like the app, but for five stars, I'd like to see the ability to rate individual pieces of hardware and software differently, say give a soap 3 stars and the razor 5. Otherwise, a nice little app for keeping track of your best and worst shaves.

When I add an item, the app stops working. Very irritating.

Not a bad app but for the price I'd expect a bit more - how bout the ability to "randomize" a shave from all the stuff in the database?

One thing I'd like to see added is the ability to delete and re-add an item and have the app identify that it's the same item. For example, if I use up a soap, I'm likely to delete to keep things simple. If I buy it again however I would like the app to identify that it's the same product, and keep all previous and new ratings together, rather than classifying them as unique. Hope that makes sense.

One feature I'd like to see added is either the ability to set default equipment, or default a new shave with the previous shave's settings. Entry would be quicker for guys who frequently use the same setup, or only change one item at a time. Thanks!

Great little app to store shaves but could do with the ability to add images from gallery. Also the imgur login is a bit hit and miss

The software is indeed very easy to use. I have a stable of razors that has grown over the last few months and blades to feed them and the app really helps me to keep track of what I've tried with which. I still think that I'd like to see the option for multiple lines (like you did for "Add. Care") for the Aftershave. I'd also like to see a "Prep" catagory with multiple fields. Maybe sharing across phones through GMail?

Easy to use, good first cut. Needs the ability to add multiple pre and post shave activities/products. $3 is a bit pricey for the premium features... I'd pay $2.

I would expect to pay at most $2 for the premium unlock. That being said, it's well organized. My only other issue is that I want to be able to put in multiple additional care items in a shave. Pre shave lotion, styptic pencil/alum block, toner as well as aftershave, etc. So I can't give more than 3 stars. Also, can you add the ability to change the date of a shave, for those times you forget to log it.

Great stuff. There is nothing else like this out there. Clearly it's quite new and will benefit from some brushing up basically awesome.

Dev laid things out neatly and clearly. Judging by his interactions, I'm excited about seeing future iterations!
