This app works well as a simple tester to exercise a RN-4x module on Android, especially if you are developing an app to support such a module and want to evaluate its performance. Unfortunately, although the description says "Source code and customization available", no source is available from Roving Networks or Microchip, according to their tech support, significantly limiting the usefulness of this app for many who might be trying it out. FWIW, most Android Bluetooth apps are based on the Bluetooth Chat sample code from Google (including possibly this one). That code will not work with a RN-4x, but could be modified to work.
