Here are the steps to turn off battery optimization for one of our apps:
Go to Settings.
Go to Battery.
Tap 3 dots at top right.
Tap “Battery Optimization”.
Tap “Not Optimized” and change it to “All apps”.
Scroll down to find the app.
Tap on app listing.
Tap “Don’t optimize” and then tap “Done”.

Installed this app and it would randomly start playing. Also the alarm I had on my phone set to wake me didn't go off. Removed the app and everything worked fine.
