Find Roommates & Rooms for Rent for Android
Found a great roommate on here after some trial and error! I'll use it again the next time I'm looking for a roommate!
Waste! Limited options
I love that I can find people that are real, and I know i'm not being scammed by some anonymous person if they have it linked to their Facebook or linked-in. The best feature is that it notifies you when someone looks at your place, so then you can immediately message them and see how interested they are. The only bad thing that needs to be fixed with this app is that if you want an immediate move in, you can put today's date, but once it passes that date, it starts to automatically deactivate your listing. I've had too many days where I didn't know it was deactivated and there was no notification, and whole weekends passed by, which is prime time for people searching.
Literally makes you fill out all this personal info and only pops up with 10 choices in the whole 3 million population of orlando metropolitan area. Smh. I do believe the app has potential. But they obviously need to do better mktg to bring in ppl to the app.
I submitted a listing tells me it takes 5 hours to be approved, doesn't notify you when done, then they asks to send a picture with a piece of your mail in it to one of the roomi team members, I take the picture come back, that message is gone and my listing is gone, basically starting over again, what a waste of time, the app is pointless, they should ask for all that right away, because now I have recreate another listing, they should have their ducks in a row
Was excited to start this app but anytime I take a picture of my ID it says unable to find face picture and I tried it like 3 or 4 times and still keep saying the same exact thing I keep taking different photos but it keeps saying the same exact.
Wouldn't let me log back in with Facebook. Very glitchy
**Warning: Long Full Review** I wanted this app to work out, but it was worse than expected. First off, your listing will probably not show up when people filter the listings for a specific city or area. The Roomi team has such poor or nonexistent QA that they had me do all of the work for them (asking me to boot up multiple devices and see if the issue persists, take screenshots, etc.) and nothing in return. A thank you would've been nice. Considering I put the time in to list my place and to find no one can see it if they use the filter (which they have to in the SF Bay Area), it was a big letdown. They have yet to fix the issue and they probably won't. Why? Because if you look up the founder and do your research, you'll see he just wants to quick flip the app and couldn't care less about the product. Second, constant emails about being an "investor" in Roomi. It is my understanding that if you invest in something, you would get something in return. They will direct you to a sales page and make it sound as if you are investing in a business for future dividends, but nowhere does it say you will actually receive anything. Rather, they are looking for free money for a broken app and they hope you are dumb enough to do so. Third, as others have mentioned, they claim your posting will be up in 5 hours. It definitely took a lot longer. Don't expect any notification either. Fourth, this app is far from intuitive. They forget about focusing on the user experience. Try out the filter. You'll see what I mean. Better yet, try to figure out the verification process if you are listing a place. There is nowhere to post the required address pic. You have to figure out their strange system, peruse the FAQ, and eventually you'll find you have to message them. Oh yeah, figure out how to message them on your own. No tutorial. Ha! Fifth... it's sad that there's a fifth... you will get a bunch of notifications that so and so looked at your posting. Yet, no one really wants to chat. Plus, paying and applying through the app is weird. If you look at the people who "looked" at your posting, you'll find most people don't put much of anything on their profiles. I'm looking to get to know you. It's great that you work as a driver, but don't you have hobbies, likes, dislikes? Ok, so this is focused on the types of users. It may be that people in the Bay Area hate talking about themselves. :P A final point, again, lack of QA. I am using a Nexus and everyone's profile photos are cut off. I see their mouths and not much else. It's be nice to see the whole face... I know, big demands. You'll also find your posting photos will distort due to the dimensions in the app.
It was really quick and easy to find people interested. I really liked the verification, you know who you are talking to.
Only 4star cuz i couldn't find 2.. 3.. 4.. bedrooms for my family!
Buttons didn't respond after filling in a the info on Andriod.
This app is a joke!
Great app, easy to use and all of the security features are really nice.
My favorite way to find roommates but, it logs me out, sends barely any notifications, BOMBARDS my email and text messages, when you open it to look at messages then try to look at roommates it closes the app. After a while it deactivated my listing without telling me. The good news is their tech support is killer so if anything goes wrong or you have questions they are there 24/7. So it's a great app, but you'll need a lot of patience
The app is a little buggy. When you update listing photos/description and save it doesnt actually update anything. You normally have to work with support and get them to input changes requested.
I filled everything, including pics but it still says listing is insufficient.I tried 3-4 times again, but still displays the same.
Love this app. wish more people know about it so that there'd be more listings. Hope it keeps growing. I especially love the verification feature, I feel more secure with it
I found it helpful but it needz tweaking for areas. I am in Downers Grove IL and it was sending me adds from in Chicago proper. Too far to commute.
Too much Red tapism. Poor to use
They have no content waste of time!
App seem great but not a lot of users in San Diego area so seem i need to find a new app
Application is good but location-based filters nd more room must be thr.. There is absence of all
Worst app.. didn't work..at all
Really bad idea , really bad
Didn't work at all
Ok so a person cant sign up without Facebook? Why?
It works only on USA. I'm in Sydney, Australia. =/
Good but it's seen like a dating site
Nice application
Great
love it
Didn't even list anything near my location. Then the devs give a canned response. Waste of space on my phone
There are lots of flaky people here in LA , but I found a pretty decent respectful person who felt mutual regarding the living situation. I had to change a few things like it automatically had me set in NYC but I'm in LA, also ask for verifications which is great! and even though I was crunched for time, they at roomi assisted me when I emailed them very quickly, my place was up in a matter of hours and I took initiative to message those who I felt fit my ideal roommate situation ,those whom replied I made appointments with and found it to be easy. Pro tip: take recent clean photos of your place, be honest, and upfront about the space and its amenities. good luck.
Worst app I ever seen I installed this app and try to sign up but didn't get mobile verification number...
This app is so dumb, I put Fremont, ca as the place to look and it kept finding listings in NY
Slow, no verification code received and not enough cities. Useless app.
Verification code not received... Waste of time..
Not received verify code sms even after trying so may times

Only if you're in maybe 10 different cities will you be allowed to use this app. Otherwise it will be a waste of a download.
