About Minimum Skills - Roller Derby
Roller Derby is a challenge to learn, this app lets you track your progress. Everything you need to help you through your roller derby minimum skills assessment is here, in a handy tick list.
This app lists every skill you need, along with helpful tips on how you can improve and master each one. The app tracks your progress and generates a progress bar to show you how close you are to completion.
The App is based on the 2013 WFTDA Minimum Skills Requirements, and breaks all you need to know down into the following categories:
- Basic skills
- How many laps you can do in 5 minutes
- Recovery
- Balance & Agility
- Pack skills
- Blocking
There's also a category for Rules; as part of your Minimum Skills you'll need to do a written rules test.

I'm a beginner when it comes to Derby, hoping to join MRD's Zero to Hero program in May. This app is really useful, and I'm going to definitely be using it in preperation.

Super handy and easy to use while on skates. Easier than holding a pen with wrist gards. I also like that it can be used for trainers as well as for the new skaters to track progress. However, it would be awesome to have the detailed skill description (criteria and tips) available on the League Assessment option rather than just a pass or fail check mark. Also, trainers notes would be nice for each of the League Assessment skills.

I really like this app being a member of the training committee at my league. I was wondering if there is any way in your future updates that you could add team folders and the ability to share the compiled information between trainers' devices. Also, the ability to print a date stamped skater copy for player files would be great as well. Thank you for creating this.

A great app, and I love the tips. It is great seeing that bar get closer and closer to completion. The only thing that would make it better would be an audible tone at the end of every lap for the lap timer. It is great to have a goal, but I can't look at my phone while skating so I can't know where I should be when I am skating alone.

The addition of the league assessment feature just increased the value of this app a hundred fold! I am also a big fan of the drop-down descriptions and tips for each skill.

I use this app at least twice a week to help prepare the fresh meat for their MST. I especially love that I can now track all of the fresh meat at the same time!

Im still training for my minimum skills and downloaded this app to help. It didnt work after purchasing, which was very disappointing but the producer of the app worked very fast to repair the bug and it works perfectly!! Excellent customer care and great app! Thanks :)

Before this app, I didn't know what roller derby was. Now not only am I a jammer, I'm a blocker, zeeb AND NSO. All at the same time. In the same game. Some people say I'm making this up, others say that I'm lying, but all we know for sure is that this app is great, and will help you get on top of min skills.
