Like most people, I downloaded this for Spotify. Crashes as soon as I transmit. Tried transmitting from Windows media player and all I get is electrical noises and vibrations. Worst, most half-baked app and windows program I've ever had the misfortune of attempted use. Windows 7 to Sony Z5 if devs are interested. But I doubt it since they're obviously not all that interested in the usefulness of their product.

It doesn't work..it says like it receives audio from Windows airfoil and it doesn't show up as a device there.. I was hoping that it works like Airfoil remote for Mac.. Disappointed

by Z####:

After paying for the last significant upgrade to Airfoil I soon found the speaker app crashes when you try to connect to a Spotify source. I reported this problem about 9 months ago. It was confirmed as a bug by RA. Since then nothing has been done and they seem content to ignore such problems! Don't buy this product...

Z70%
by Z####:

Does not work with Spotify. It seems to work OK with other sound sources on the PC. Note you might need to let Airfoil through your PC firewall (inbound and outbound) before your phone shows up as a destination on the PC application. Lack of reliable Spotify compatibility is bit of a show-stopper these days.

My phone is not showing up in the lost despite being connected to the dr network. Please help resolve this issue, my trial is ending soon

D70%
by D####:

NOT EVEN WORTH 1 STAR, BUT CAN'T PUT LESS!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THE DOWNLOAD, CRASHES/FREEZES OR DOESN'T EVEN LOAD!!! DELETED!!!

P70%
by P####:

It worked right away, very automated, I like that. BUT I intended to use my cell phone as speakers replacement for my pc and that implies low latency, sadly it seems this app can't provide that yet.

Z70%
by Z####:

Pointless app. I can listen to any sound source on my phone without this.

U70%

Totally not usable.

O70%

Crashes when using Spotify as a source.

Z70%

Trasmits sound fine, however there is still a substantial delay between devices.

Instantly crashes on galaxy s7

Crap

I have a Mac and Apple TV, but I also have a Samsung phone, so I feel like I miss out on some compatibility between the devices. I like using the Rogue Amoeba products to be in total control of my music. I'll play my iTunes library on my phone, or I'll use Airfoil to send Spotify to my Apple TV, while using my phone to control the playlist. I feel like it gives me that slight bit more control of my devices.

Used to work great. Now crashes when I used with the new pc airfoil application. Contacted support and they recommended going back to the old version. But hang on, i just paid for the update.

Y70%
by Y####:

All this app does is open and crash. I've tried reinstalling as well. The second I try to connect to my desktop it crashes. Please fix.

J70%
by J####:

Only if the latency of a second(1) is fixed it will be awesome

R70%
by R####:

On phones with no menu soft key there is no way to enter settings to adjust the buffer delay. Makes listening impossible using android and apple devices as remote speakers. Fix and will give 5 stars

R70%
by R####:

Works flawlessly but need update to be inline with new Airfoil Satellite.

R70%
by R####:

soundwire have zero latency, this have 3-5 seconds lag

P70%
by P####:

Deafening sound after 10 mins

R70%
by R####:

There is about 10 seconds worth of delay between the sound happening and the sound coming to the phone. Also, being connected to the PC for 10 minutes or more causes an "overlay" that can't be turned of to happen. If you pay, then this overlay ceases to happen, but you will have payed more than £20 for something that the leading competitor gives for about £4

Es buena, pero hay demora entre lo que debe sonar y suena en los audífonos

Get the high latency worked out and this app would be amazing.

I70%

Love it

F70%

Crashes at every app launch.

O70%

"Before purchase, noise is overlaid on all transmissions longer than 10 minutes." Really ? maybe a 30 day trial to fully evaluate the software would be nice, I'm not buying this.

Doesn't work on s5

K70%
by K####:

I was surprised when the volume went up. I don't know how its done, but I don't think it matters.

I70%
by I####:

What the hell? app decides to cut out SOMETIMES when the screen is off. Other times it is more than happy to keep playing audio in the background. The "keep screen awake" function also does NOT work properly. Update? Maybe?!

K70%
by K####:

The audio is intermittent, which makes it a frustrating experience. Plus, the app has not been updated to address user issues in over two years. I would recommended avoiding Rogue Amoeba products.

K70%
by K####:

If you don't see any Airfoil Speakers on a Windows network with a non Air Port Express router, install Airserver for Windows.

K70%
by K####:

Very nearly awesome, but sadly it crashes all the time and I cannot get rid of the lag between my pc and phone.

K70%
by K####:

Very very good app, finally i've found something to watch movie with headphones in my bed ^^ the only problem is the latency of 2 sec, on the support (rogue amoeba website) they advise to use airfoil player which is a terrible mediaplayer (try to run an mkv and you'll see) .. But on VLC you can adjust the audio track, just put -2 sec of delay and you're good to go! Note: it's not free, the server app that go on computer cost 30€ for complete version (no stutering after 10min. Google can help you with this.

K70%
by K####:

Does not work between mac and android for me

D70%
by D####:

No f'n way I'd pay 25.00 for a sound delay (settings verified) that bad!

G70%
by G####:

This app will not 'see' your Airfoil client on Windows/Mac if you keep the client up to date. The Windows/Mac client WILL however still see this app and you can initiate the broadcast from there ONLY. A pain if you don't have direct access to the computer your Airfoil client is running on. The app likes to crash and silently disappear without any mention whatsoever.

E70%
by E####:

tried it, the poor audio synchronisation made it unusable.

K70%
by K####:

I've used this on iPhone as well. Definitely recommended.

S70%
by S####:

First time I launched the app it crashed my phone. Second time it worked but after half the first song the music started stuttering and didn’t get back to normal until the next song had started. Then it started stuttering again after a few seconds and kept stuttering to and from until I gave up. I might give it another try eventually but for the moment I’ll probably stick to streaming the music through my iPod instead, the iOS version of the app seems more reliable. (Or maybe my Nexus S is just too old to handle this kind of streaming?)
