Vicinity

Aesthetics over functionality sums this up at best. Much like many Rogers applications, and their website, Vicinity suffers from painfully long and slow loading times. Switching from module to module is a gamble as you can end up in an area of the application that you intended on going to in less than 10 seconds, be welcomed with a 2-3 minute loading period (which can be 'corrected' by restarting the application), or a random welcome page. My advice: hold off on downloading this application until the developers themselves personally say that it is ready to use.

Its hard to get rewards because you need so many points but I guess it's better than getting no points. EXCEPT the fact that I ALWAYS tap my card and half the time my purchases dont even register into points. So I'm not even getting any points afterall. Super frustrating especially after a huge purchase.

Only one store in my area uses this so they know my balance and if I'm going to spend it. Other than when i first installed this app it's never went past a loading screen. Awful app. Don't bother downloading it, i just use my key fob.

Always keeps defaulting to downtown Toronto (which I live no where remotely close to) and extremely slow on location search. Faster for me to talk to restaurants directly than to use this app.

This app doesn't offer you anything besides taking up space on your phone. Maybe if there's a dozen places that use it, maybe. And the app itself is clunky, it feels like it was deigned by a high school kid for a project, and never updated. And their text message promos never work either, the text says "reply yes to claim" but my texts always fail to send.

The rewards program is a good idea but this app is crap. I can't use it as a card, it doesn't tell me if I have a reward waiting for me. I don't know what I'm supposed to use it for.

Less productive than visiting their website directly. Map function doesn't work. Doesn't replace using the card/your phone number. App tends to get stuck on the welcome/discover/track screens. Pressing the phone back button exits the app entirely. Save yourself the storage space, time, and frustration by visiting the website directly.

App does not show when points are collected, have to use website for up to date points status. Update: logging out & back in seems to update points.

Just keeps on loading, with no progress. Unusable.

This App is a total piece of Garbage Truck . Why would anybody release this App to the Public.Totally Useless and a Waste of my phones Space and Time !!!!

Worst app ever. Where'd you find the developer to build this piece of sh#t? Won't update. Just keeps trying to refresh for 10 minutes and counting. Locations of where one can collect points is another crap shoot. Just kill this stupid app!

Won't let you add bonus points, Sits and rotates when location is on. Nearly useless, except as a battery drain.

Does not work. App stays on intro screen after logging in, can't view anything.

Was great for checking my points balance for a while. Now it doesn't update the balance.

The app doesn't update my balance on points , unless I Un-install then Re-install, and has told me I have a bonus point since day 1 and when claiming it I get told it's used! Customer service replies quickly however they don't have authority or means to implement points that a location may have missed that day. Decent concept, nice incentives from local vendors just needs a better functioning app and a way to fix points that get missed without having to return to original vendor!

The app constantly having trouble displaying my rewards. It keeps on loading and loading but doesn't actually do anything for me. Logout and back in doesn't work. If I have to reinstall the app again and again each time I want to use it then it's not worth using. The only way to know my points is to track it myself after visiting the retailer. Why is it that your company time and time again prove to have poor customer satisfaction, Roger's?

What's the point of this app if it doesn't actually load any information? I am logged in, full signal on LTE with Rogers and every other app work but this one. Piece of trash.

The app doesn't load anything after you've signed in. A high school student could code a better app than this. Just go online and use their website. Android support is trash.

When the entire system isn't down, it still takes days... sometimes weeks for my purchases to show up. My recommendation is to avoid it like the plague and use other loyalty reward programs that do work properly. Rogers commented to wait for the new version of the app. Just installed it and the new one is a worse POS than the old one... just spins and does nothing. Rogers... You'd better service your users by ditching this crap application and fire whoever wrote it.

Why not let us add our card to the app or let us use our phones to gain rewards. Carrying around a big card defeats the purpose of this app. It's simply a point counter...

Good idea but the points dont update. Thankfully i get a text msg when i get something free. App is garbage.

All this app does is open and load indefinitely. Switching WiFi on/off makes no difference. The little circle keeps on spinning and nothing else happens

The app spins and doesn't update the points. I use the browser instead. So the app is useless, buggy and pointless until they update it.

Probably the worst functioning app I have ever installed,i thought a huge company like Rodgers would put the effort into creating a working app for their customer rewards concept,but it sucks

It's a means to an end. App is unstable and slow. It also crashes when you apply bonus credits

This is the worst app I have ever used. Points don't get updated. Password resets aren't sent. I wish the Sushi 8 would return to their previous points system...I never had issues with their card. Very frustrating

Thanks for the reply that I can use my phone number instead of my physical card. Outside of that though, app literally offers no features or benefits not already available through the website. Only allows you to check your points balance and look up other Vicinity merchants.

This app doesn't work properly. Points totals do not update....its sad when it is easier to log into their website rather than use their app.

Tried using it and it froze. I see that only 10k people use it in canada which nothing. Wasted data on garbage loyalty

Love the idea, but I can't read anything because sizes are not even close to correct and I can't resize them. Pictures are HUGE, and I can't see the whole text field.
