Absolutely hated this app. I never write reviews but I was so annoyed with this app I had to warn others. Way too many commercials. And everytime you try to rewind or fast forward in the show it makes you watch at least 4 commercials again that are each 30 seconds long! They play commercials for just about as long as they play the TV show clip. Also any time you go to your home page or another app even for a second and click back to the tab this app is on you have to watch commercials again and it rewinds you back to the beginning of the episode. So disappointed.

Way too many ads. I was trying to watch something and started with an ad as 1 out of 2 ads. Later on it showed the 2/2 ad. The problem is that not so long after the 2nd ad, it showed ANOTHER ad as being 1 out of 6. What the heck? Completely unnecessary. Worst app ever.

The quality of this app seems good, except for the volume issue. The videos are very quiet, and the commercials are obnoxiously loud. Pretty counterproductive, because I mute the volume when the commercials come on. Would the advertisers be happy to know that the presentation of their product comes off as very offensive? Of course not. I just got a notification from this app at 12:52 am, obnoxious and not acceptable.

The player gets confused as to where I stopped watching when I try to resume playing. Plays an ad, then jumps back to the start or repeats a sequence that I have watched before. Continuous error message of playback error, followed by ad, then another error message. Suddenly stops playing, crashes, problems just keep coming. Don't they test their software before they release it ???

Freezes every time I've watched a show, only seen the beginning of episodes. Was so frustrated I deleted it and redownloaded it months later.. Still experiencing the same issue. Disappointing for such a big name channel :(

It used to work before the recent updates and now it crashes every single time I try to view any stream. Once you fix that please remove the band on top telling you what you're watching on the live feed. We know what we're watching and it also blocks information shown in that part of the screen which is especially annoying during the news stream. Will adjust rating if you fix all of the above Update: it started to work a few weeks ago but now it's having issues again. Doesn't consistently work and has been worse recently.

I've been having issues with a chrome cast pop-up problem here and there and wondering what was causing it. Now I know it's this app, continuously acting like a pop up ad not allowing you to do anything but slam the back button ferociously until it stops. Then swiftly force closing the City TV app to end the painful process. Hasn't bothered me since.

Ive been trying to use this app for past few weeks but cannot because all i see is streaks of colours. The sound is fine but i cant see anything. I tried several shows on citytv and i get the same problem. Other streaming apps are working fine so i know its not my tablet.

Why is the advertisements so loud while the shows are regular? It's not fun having to mute and then unmute after every ad because it'll blast your ears.

What with Tracy's exit on General Hospital and nowhere else to legally watch the show online since I work during the week, I re-enabled the app to catch up on GH. As many other reviewers have noted, the ads are obnoxiously loud and the show at regular/lower volume. The "Alert" commercial with the alarm was just awful to sit through and having to hear other commercials OVER AND OVER AND OVER is too annoying for words. Pretty useless app, unfortunately. I have it installed for one show and it can't even work properly for that. In one instance this morning, after the first set of ads, the May 1st episode restarted from the beginning. Can't believe I have to pay for your channel in my cable package without being able to watch the ONLY show I want without having problems.

Works fine but the ads are way too much, 25 ads for a 22min show? And it plays the same ads over & over. Watched 2 shows & had to sit thru the Boss Baby ad 11 times. That & it only has the most current episode. Global & CTV at least carry partial season with only a handful of ads. I don't mind a reasonable (5) number of ads, this was ridiculous.

I changed my 2 stars rating to 4 stars because there has been much improvement since the last update. Still as much advertisements but the videos play from beginning to end with no bugs. Only improvement that needs to be made is to make it possible to cast the videos on tv like CTV app.

This app is always glitchy and stalls, even once causing my tablet to do a full reboot. Combined with the commercials it is barely tolerable. The addition of closed captioning is a nice improvement. I just look forward to something which works more reliably and with less interruptions.

No Chromecast support and tons of ads. I hope you enjoy plummeting cable subscribers Rogers. This is an app not a TV station. But that's OK I'll get my content another way that will utilize Chromecast.

City knows the problems but won't fix it. I sent you an email, your reply was just fluff. Want loyality don't treat me as stupid and fix it.

Too many advertisements while viewing programs. Every 10 minutes there were 2-6 advertisements during a 1 hour show, and all the same ads. Very annoying.

Its amazing to finally find this app. It really works at me and able to watch my fave series Prison Break season 5! It really works on me..

Horrible. Used to work great. Conveniently, the commercials play with no problem but every show the screen is striped and only audio plays. Have updated twice now.

This is rubbish! I can see commercials just fine when I mirror and as soon as the show starts there is a dark screen and audio only. What the heck??

Tried using the app to watch a show, because every time I tried to watch it online it had a pop-up for the app, and wouldn't allow me to watch online. Go to use the app and the show isn't there and there is no search bar. Very poorly set up.

Terrible app. Constantly asking to turn on mobile data when it is already on. Commercials work, shows don't. Probably the worst video app have have ever downloaded.

Ad after Ad after Ad after Ad. Oh wait you paused? let me make you watch another Ad. You replied to a text message? you must have not learned you lesson you need to watch another ad.

I have read many times about Cromecast support coming in the Spring. Is there an update? Can't mirror my screen with it either. It just shows a black screen.

Just like another user said, ads are too loud and intrusive. Video quality is horrible and the sound is far too quiet. Garbage app.

Please enable Chromecast on your app!! Would've assumed it would have been available already, very disapointing.

Needs Chromecast support to be able to do anything. It literally takes two seconds to implement. The CTV app has it, until this gets Chromecast support its dead to me.

I had no problems with this app. It works perfectly. I have been with Rogers over two years. So far I have no complaints.

Its absolute crap, do no why you have it, do work well and the idiotoc time you have to interrupt for the same commercials is stupid going back to using pvr

Can't use chromecast...only the commercials show up on the tv. All other local tv apps (Global, CTV) work great when casting to tv. Please fix!

Worst app ever. So many adds. Failing at making apps and probably at life to. Kill yourself

Cannot pause the video or adjust the volume, controls don't show up anymore. cannot view video, just getting vertical lines, but commercials are ok

I love it for watching the bachelor - very easy and i actually like the ads because they give me some time to cook or clean and it makes the episode last longer!

Seriously. No complaints with the site or access to programming. Would use it more if I could Chromecast it to my tv.

There are waaay too many commercials on this app. I would rather pay for an app than watch 20 minutes of commercials for a 20 minute show. Ridiculous.

If I Google, "Blackish, Season 1", and the app is City TV to watch episodes of Blackish, how do I get the list, amd not a random episode from season 3. Where is the episode list???

Commercials play but programming doesn't load. Worked fine for a week but hasn't for the last few with no changes to my tablet or Chromecast.

Tried to watch a sitcom episode I missed... 4 breaks with 6 commercials each in a 22 minute episode... it took longer to watch the commercials than the show

After the commercials are played, the show jumps back to the beginning or to an other previous part instead of continuing where it should. Please fix this.

Can't get thru one episode without it crashing multiple times. Not worth the frustration
