For such a large Media Giant backed by Rogers you would think they could build an APP properly. This app only plays commercials and every time you want to stream the news it kicks you out. I am running it on an Android S7.

Absolutely crap! Never works. Its a shame such a big news brodcaster cant get a simple app to work. Well on your way to losing more viewers. Try communicating with your sister Breakfeast television. Never have problems with their app.

After end Feb, 4.1.1 quit working; blank screen... Uninstalled, reinstalled, same thing. Android 6.0.1, Zenfone 3. Think problem related to citynews.ca having vanished... Mar.6: Working again.

When playing a video and clicking on the option to expand to full screen the video disappears. Please fix. I have an S6.

Very similar to the 680 News app. I get that Rogers own 680 News and City TV, does the news need to be duplicated through both aps?

Quit working a month ago. Reinstalled...no internet access message...internet works fine on all other apps.

Horrible connection to live news feed. Keeps playing commercials and starts all over.

Another buggy app from Rogers Media. Some issues with the 680 News app.

Way too many ads and extremely buggy!!!

My phone started lagging big time after I installed this. Could not figure out why my phone was frozen for minutes every single time I ran something anything. I thought it was marshmallow upgrade. Uninstalled this and my phone is as snappy as the day I got it. There is something wrong with this app. There is a memory leak or taking up all the resources in there background. Uninstall this.

After watching 5 commercials continously freeze I gave up and deleted the app cuz that's 10 minutes of my life that I'll never get back. That's longer than any sane person would've waited , never did get to watch the specific video I wanted.

I go to stream the news and I get a background image like a PC wallpaper, but the live video of the newscast doesn't load. ** pretty much all you need to know about this app and rogers as a company is that it was last updated in March of 2015 - absolute garbage

I'd say the video player maybe loads 5% of the time. It just stalls out on the black "CityNews Live Steam" screen and the video playback bar never appears. Typical sub-par Rogers product...

I get notifications on my screen, but when I press to read a story - it directs me to their main page and I can't find a story that I was notified. Doesn't make sense...

App worked fine a month ago, now when you go to watch live news it just plays the ads and doesn't launch the program..GARBAGE

One of the worst news apps I have seen by far. When I come to click on a video to watch. The app either freezes or shuts down. I can hardly ever get one video to work without crashing. I gave it the benefit of the doubt but too bad. I've waited to long for it to work properly. Gladly deleting this app! Goodbye!

Good luck sharing any news stories since the app won't even let you share to Facebook. Oh and you want to multitask? The app forces you to a loading screen each time you switch out of it. I don't usually comment or review apps but this one is so bad I just had to do it. By far one of the worst news apps on here. It's no wonder their viewers are at record lows. I cannot recommend this to anyone.

Most stories are video without written counterpart. Would like to read the news quickly.

Push alerts need to actually open the story they're for, so many times I can't find the story that you've sent a notification for.

Restricts you from sending articles via text services. You have to use Twitter, email or Facebook. At least 2-3 ads before you get to watch videos! This app sucks!

Too many ads for me. Waste of time. Some videos will not load on my Android...

Get breaking news notifications with no info when I click on it. Horribly frustrating.

Did you know that I don't drive but I see one million and billing of people who drives and can't see the people crossing.
