Accu-Chek® Connect App - CA for Android
I have used this app for more than 6 months with no problems until it would not start. I deleted and reloaded and now I can't login to my online account with it. It gives me the message "Username or password incorrect ". I have tried many times and I know the information is correct. I can login every time in a browser or on my computer.
Have not been able to pair for months now, called help desk they suggested to uninstall/reinstall which I did, still nothing. Then I was told it is because it is not comparable with Android 7 on my Samsung and there was no indication when it would be corrected. Still waiting, might as we go with another meter that will allow me to transfer with more simplicity. When with this meter and have had problems, help desk not so much help. 12/1/17: It is months later and no solution, time to move on to a new meter with hopes that I can use the whole program. So many promises so many disappointments.
Completely useless for 99% of Canadians due to lack of device support and the app absolutely will not connect to my new accu-chek meter on samsung galaxy note 4 no matter what I try or how many times I try to pair it. Went back to my one touch meter that works.
Worst software I have ever attempted to use. If it were not for the fact that I purchased 400 test strips for the aviva connect, I would throw the unit in the trash. Once done the strips, I will be looking for something else. Must be made for Android 4.4 because it does not work on Android 7!
This is a useless machine every made. I got it to keep better track and forget it. It's has to be paired almost daily. Can't sign in, won't take my info. Piece if S***.
Not fully useful. The app keeps track of my stats but only if I enter them myself. The blue tooth connectivity simply doesn't work. I have tried removing and reconnecting but it just won't work. Fix it or remove it.
The pictures will not upload correctly. The pictures become corrupted after attaching and it just shows it grayed out. Please fix the pictures issue as it is the main reason I wanted this machine . Thank you
App is no good. It's paired with my phone and yet the meter cannot find my device no matter how many times you delete and reinstall. Both devices are connected but the information will not send. And this is my second meter
It's supposed to let me send my test reading to the app, but it has never worked. And I wanted to see my reading over more then one month and found that anything older then a month was gone from the app. Very frustrating.
After pairing and setting meter to data transfer, app cannot find the device. Hence useless at this stage of development. Of course BT is on, and paired, and listed on paired devices on phone (gal s7) and device. App states it can't find device when attempting to transfer, device states can't find phone even though pairing data identifies phone with big check mark.
I have to pair this device daily. What a pain in th backside. I got this to try to make my life easier. Instead it has made my testing a living he'll. You would think that a large company could get things right. I would have given this app no stars, but it's not possible.
One my 3rd Accu chek meter... sync with phone is glitchy and the app never works. Can't provide reports to my doctors. App is not intuitive or user friendly. Yes, I've deleted the pairing, re connected the meter several times. Even deleted the app a few times. Also cleared the cache, reinstalled, and tried using the home computer to get my reports. I also set up 2 accounts using 2 different email addresses to see if maybe it was just a problem with my account. I think with 8 years post secondary education including a background in health care qualifies me to troubleshoot. Thank you for the advice though.
The problems are plentiful but I take two insulin shots Rapid and Lantus yet it will not allow me to enter two only one my dr hates this. I would also like to make medication or symptom/illness changes to the list but it is not available.
Have spent hours on my own and also with tech support, then their software division, nothing any of us did worked. Reinstalled numerous times, tried with wifi off as suggested by others, tried pairing and repairing from a couple of directions, nothing would get it to transfer data. Now it won't even pair. They've sent a new meter and still no go. I give up. I'm not a tech newb, I know what I'm doing, but there is something wrong here and none of us can figure it out. Using Samsung Galaxy S6, Android 6.0.1. EDIT: In response to Roche, your suggestions are among the things I had already done as I mentioned. I have done it on my own, also under direction to do it again by your tech support (in spite of me doing if over and over myself), then I repeated the same actions under direction of your software support division (not just general support) still made no difference. While your more precise description may be helpful to some others who are experiencing a problem, it did not help in my situation.
It needs to be updated for the latest Android version 7.0 nougat otherwise it is useless won't let me pair with galaxy s7 UPDATE OMG just tried pairing it with my phone and it WORKED so giving this app 5 stars Not sure why because I tried many different times now it connected Thanks
Accu-Chek Connect App does NOT work with my new Google Pixel 2 phone with Android 8.1.0 :( The Accu-Chek Aviva Connect meter pairs fine. But will not transfer the meter's readings to the phone. The app will not transfer to the Accu-Chek Connect Online. Edit: Was able to sideload Accu-Chek Connect App - US 2.1.3.3 (US version). Now everything functions fine.
Pairs but won't transfer data. keeps telling me it can't find a device even though I literally just paired it. What a garbage product.
This app does not work with Andriod vetsion 7. Android 7 was released last August. Pathetic how there is no support for Android users. Time to get a new meter.
My carrier updated my Samsung S6 to android 7/ nougat. glucometer still pairs and synchs with phone just fine; however, Accu-chek connect no longer uploads data to online account. Here is what I have tried: 1) uninstalled app and deleted /root/sdcard/aconnect. 2) reinstalled app and logged into online account/devices and deleted phone association/device. 3) Logged into account with fresh app installation - it syncs and created new device just fine. 4) chose send to online account. "sending to online account" appears and after a few seconds disappears. There is no "upload complete" message and after checking online account, no new information has been uploaded. 5) Rinse and repeat. Removed app association in devices several times with no change and reinstalled app 3 times with no change. No longer very enthusiastic about emailing myself backup files for each new reinstallation. This is s major hassle since I need to use online account to edit meal entries with greater detail. The app only allows short entries.
Great meter, app needs work, issues with pairing, I was unable to get the meter to pair and sync reliably despite unpairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing.... making it an unusable app
App functions good, would be an improvement if you could allow for more than one insulin entry...I take 2 different types every morning: Humalog(short-acting) Lantus(long-acting) but can only make an entry for 1insulin(app version). Please fix/adjust.
Not even able to key in the code to sync the meter. Stuck on meter not found without bro g able to key in the code
App difficult to connect via Bluetooth with galaxy S8. Should send info to google fit and Samsung health but does not. Will not track newer insulins (Toujeo) App draws considerable power running in the background! Needs a ground up redesign to bring it to the current standards
Syncing device with phone is terrible and syncing phone with home pc is worse, takes ages to setup and doesnt work when you do. Not worth it at half the price.
Ever since my phone updated to android 7.0, I have been unable to upload my test results to my online account. When will this be fixed?
Paired the app with glucometer and cannot transfer readings despite unpairing from Bluetooth and the app. Gave up after 5th try. LG v30
the wireless data transfer does not work...can't seem to get any support online..guess I'm going to have to call
It's paired but when it try to search it comes up empty. It does not recognize the meter USELESS APP
The device or the application obviously has an issue with connecting through Bluetooth based on my experience and the experience of others here. I bought this device because of its supposed Bluetooth technology only to find out it doesn't work. I cannot get a refund for it and as soon as the makers see my post they will tell me to delete the pairing on both the device and the smartphone and try again through the application. How many times should I try? You owe me a working device Roche or my money back.
I am new to monitoring my blood sugar. The Application is a bit hard to figure out. And I am a QA tester for both software applications and app's on devices. The instruction button brings up the information in raw Html and unreadable. It paired well and recorded my first reading on transfer. I will follow up after a 30 day usage.
I can get the device paired but cannot transfer the information to the app.
This app is horrible got this setup to make tracking my blood sugars easier and it's living hell..
It doesn't work with new Android Samsung S8
Will not sync with the app. Keeps syncing with my phone, Google Pixel 2 xl. The app opens a spot where to put a number, but won't allow number input.
Would be nice to add a few other devices connect in. I have not found one app that will pick up wireless feed from 3 things. Weight scale, blood sugar and blood pressure. A lot of diabetics all have too watch the same things. Would be nice to have one company produce and support these 3 things. And thank you for finally bringing this into Canada. It works awesome and I don't miss tracking my numbers. Doctor likes it too. Way more accurate than the old way.
Bluetooth on meter on and is right on top of phone and dats isn't transferring. App programme will not store all my insulin used and meds list. Case not made to fit device and you have to remove from case to see screen. Should use dedicated case not from other model. This unit gets a failing grade. UNINSTALLED
Needs much more customization options like the ability to add holistic supplements and vitimin as medication. And the ability to add more then 1 medication dose to a single entry. The Bluetooth works well and the meter is good, but the app seems like it was created fast and rushed without any real understanding of what type 1 diabetic are wanting to track and maintain in this way (app based)
It pairs with my phone but will not transfer data. Using Android 6.0. It tries to transfer but never actually connects.
Can't get the HCP code to work to edit the advisor information.

After spending 2 hours messing with this meter and my OnePlus5 running Android 8.0.0, I am able to connect via Bluetooth but I have not been successful in transferring any data between devices, despite deleting the device from my phone and deleting the pairing on the meter. Frustrated that it requires a support call for everyone here - perhaps that speaks volumes to how intuitive the app is. Developers need to look at their competition, such as the the OneTouch Reveal app that works flawlessly on Android 8 and is easy to setup and use. It was free so I guess I'll pitch the Accu-Chek and go get some strips for the OneTouch Verio Flex instead.
