UK Trains for Wear for Android
Sounds silly but if you are traveling on the tube to station and not on the WiFi then it doesn't sync. Would be handy if the app sync'd and cached train times or showed you the last Sync
Takes a long time to load and often requires several attempts. Easier to check on phone. Waste of money.
Hoping the developer is still supporting this app and decides to update it as it used to be great but after upgrading to the latest android this app causes hard crashes. I factory reset my Nexus 6p and only installed this and android wear to test it and same thing occurred.
Just stared using this on Moto 360 1st gen watch. Saves the rush to the station only to see it is delayed or cancelled.
Just get a spinning wheel on my sw3 and the app gives me some java host name error on my s6.
thanks for the update now fixed I can use the app now great thanks
Good app both in terms of the idea and the implementation but it does quite often timeout when retrieving data and the Wear home screen/face automatically displays instead. Not sure if this is the app or a byproduct of the Wear platform. Let me know and I'll re-rate accordingly.
This is excellent, but it really ought to support the always-on mode introduced in the recent Wear update. When heading for a train, it would be really useful to have departure information at a glance without having to launch the app, even if it was only updated every minute.
Great app, though plenty of room to improve and add functionality, such as setting alarm for a particular service or allowing a more in depth view of the stops a service maker. Also would be nice to add a disclaimer in descriptions that south West train services aren't showing platform numbers due to industry changes on their behalf (hope this gets fixed soon!)
Perfect use for smart watches, very disappointing that it doesn't cache results. Becomes useless when you're catching a train from an underground station. Could also actively cache known routes at reasonable times.
For me, this app fills the biggest gap in functionality of android wear. Works really well and I'm sure features will expand over time. A absolute must-have for train commuters.
Just get a spinning wheel on my sw3 and the app gives me some java host name error on my s6.
Invaluable to check train times for regular journeys. But. Sometimes does not update when there's been a "problem" with normal services.
Use this app daily. Fantastically well built, works well, the odd crash occurs but these are few and far between. Love it.
I have only just bought the app but it seems to work brilliantly, I'm sure it will be quite handy
Great app, saves digging around for your phone when rushing to the station. Would be nice to reorder the strain list after you enter them.
Was great for a while but it no longer reports platform information as of mid-2105, which was most of what I used it for. I emailed the developer but received no reply. App appears to have been abandoned. I would suggest you avoid it.
Delayed train alerts between specified schedules :)
Was working quite well until the 5.0.1 wear update. Now won't appear on my watch even though it's installed on my phone. Not sure why? Will improve rating when this is fixed.
I'm hoping someone also makes an app like this but for UK Buses.
I like the simple interface, and all the info is there for when running for a train. Used it a few times now. I just need to remember that the train sometimes leaves the station a minute before it is scheduled to! A feature request: Perhaps clicking on a row of the table could start a wear notification with a countdown timer to that particular train (using setUsesChronometer for example) - how cool would that be?!
Does not show platform numbers for Glasgow central
Really useful on the go to check my train times. Definitely would be great to have some more features added such as rearranging the journeys and possibly some UI design polish would be nice.
Working great with my moto 360 - can't wait to try it out when talking l travelling-. Will be extremely handy because I travel on the train alot
Great idea and well executed. Couple of ideas would be to bring up the train times on the phone app itself and also the ability to set times and days you want a notification from a station to appear automatically on the watch.
Pretty handy little app. Would get five stars if you could rearrange the selected journeys and maybe name them in sections ie Home > Work. Clicking through to live transit data would also be welcome.
thanks for the update now fixed I can use the app now great thanks
Great train app
This is a must have app and makes Android Wear very useful! One thing that I'm missing is the ability to set a work and home location and have it show times based on location, if I could also add the watch screens as widgets on my phone it would be perfect and 5*.
Ideal for finding which platform to head for when running for a train. Would give 5 stars if you could click on a train time to get the list of station stops and times...
Love the look of this app and found it very easy to use. I'd rate this 5 stars if alerts were added so I could receive notifications if my train is delayed
Would be nice to have an option that would make it display one of you're preselected stations first, if you're closest to it, rather than scrolling through to find it. This would help if you're looking for a specific train from a specific (nearest) station :-)
A really useful app but almost unusable if you have a watch with a square face.
You can click on the time to refresh, but it then reverts to your first route, which is annoying if you are watching a later one.
Simple, clear and very useful
There seems to be a lot of dead space on the LG G Watch which makes it hard to scroll.
LG G Watch R. This is a great little app. Simple to use on both watch and on the phone and looks great too (love the way the train station names curve around the top of the watch on a round screen). As someone else has suggested, using an Wear mini launcher helps to access the app. Wish that 'London Bus Checker' can add their bus stop countdowns to the watch next...
Love it, looks amazing on the moto 360, one of the first wear apps where design has been clearly thought out for round displays. A yard stick for future wear apps I hope :). Also nice to see material design on the phone part of app it would be cool if I could rearrange the order of saved stations though as I like having 'nearest' station but want to have it after my commute :)
Moto 360. Dev came back to me with an answer to a q I had. Solved the issue. Gotta this app is worth every single penny. . Works well. Looks gorgeous. . Teamed with Android mini launcher it's a godsend. . .

Often works, could be so much better. Doesn't cache results, so out of data range makes it useless. Could notify of delays at selected times on selected routes. Could swap the opening station based on time and/or location. Disappointed that email to developers to suggest an improvement was not answered, even if it is to tell me where to go.
