Road Pad for Android

Was rubbish as the maps are well out of date and a waste of cash

Unable to get it to work anymore sadly.

Disappointing. Maps used are years out of date. Many of my important local junctions are nothing like what is shown on map. Often can't draw on map. I.pad version is much better.

Using this on a Sony android phone. Only once has this app allowed me to draw on the maps. Click the draw (pen) icon. The icon changes but when you try and draw, it just moves the map. There is no way of 'fixing' the map to hold it in place whilst you draw on it. For the one time it worked, I could see the value of the app, not not if it doesn't work again!

Has no option apart from google earth. I can get google earth for free. Maybe bacause its on my samsung note. I heard on ipads it is really good. If its for the phone then its a waste off money.

This app only works on wifi! What's the point!

Would love to have same features as the iPad version

This is the best app ever for instructors. Neil Beaver is excellent in customer service as well.

How do I find what I'm looking for? Is it like google earth where you put in a postcode or destination? How do you do that? I'm over 50 and need proper instructions..... Actually I want road board instead so how do I get my money back off this one. Or maybe you will be able to tell me how I search for locations. I wish I was 16 then I could do this myself x

After a period when I was unable to save new items but able to use the old saved photographs all is well again. I find the app very useful at it allows the student and I to discuss elements of a complicated junction prior to getting there. Thanks for repairing the app.

The app is getting better all the time, allso they are very good at listening to your queries or any ideas you might have, keep up the good work.

Thanks Neil I have just downloaded this and Roadboard been waiting for it on Android now I can use my tablet more in the car. Would it be possible to load existing images I wonder, or screenshots.

Happy with Road Pad but can not find all of the junctions that I have saved, only 6 are showing

Getting to know this app and have used it to demonstrate position at Roundabouts. Very useful tool. One question is how do you delete a file.

Would be great if there was an option to email the pictures to the pupils. Also would be good if you could zoom out and keep the lines you have drawn on the roads where you drew them.

Just the occasional crash but is already making life easier when explaining directions. Keep up the good work robosoul.

Having managed to remove saved unwanted photo's/images now unable to retrieve newly saved screen shots - advised of no images have been saved!

Although there were teething problems, they were quick to respond to my emails and resolve the issues I had. It does exactly what I need. Many thanks

The idea is good. But when you save the maps and return the sizes have changed, which you cant alter. You can use map work around but its a pain. Its just as easy to use Google maps and a pointer.

have loaded this onto my 7" Gotab Android and when I touch the screen I just get a black screen

Awful app. Doesn't work, all you can do is draw a line on whiteboard in different colours. Maps never load. Really wish I hadn't bothered, waste of money.

Nice idea but I can't get any apps to load on my S3 so have just ended up with a whiteboard! Hope there will be a fix asap.

Following my first review the maps have been fixed and app works great. Very useful app.

Just downloaded this today but cannot open the maps at all. I have a lovely whiteboard which seems to be working fine - but no maps!! How do I sort this one? Seems a great idea but not a happy ADI at the mo!

Initial installation froze the tablet which needed resetting. Tried to reinstall again but Map Workaround would not download maps. Removed and will not try again. No refund.

I saw this on a friends ipad. The features were great, which is why I downloaded it in my galaxy tab 10.1.The same features are not available on android. I cant amend or delete saved locations. In fact when I save another image the different file name appears with the same original image. This was reported by email a couple of days ago but so far no reply. Im now saving locations using Google maps which I can file and amend using a drawing application that I have. This may be an alternative for android devices which (I think I'm right in saying)have about 70% of the market!
