About Roberto Giordano, pianist
Roberto Giordano has been soloist with major orchestras, including the Orchestre National de Belgique, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège, Camerata of St Petersburg, the Orchestre National de Lille, the Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, the Filarmonica Marchigiana, the Orchestra of the "Carlo Felice" Theater in Genova, the Orchestra di Padova e Veneto, the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, the Gwangjiu Symphony Orchestra (Korea), collaborating with conductors such Vasily Petrenko, Rumon Gamba, Paul Mann, Gilbert Varga, Pavel Kogan, Anton Nanut, Markus Bosch, Domonkos Héja, Hansjöerg Schellenberger, Marco Guidarini, Alvise Casellati and Francesco Di Mauro.
Gerard Corbiau, director of the film Farinelli released in 2004 a special-biography, entitled "Roberto Giordano from a world to another”. The film was broadcasted by the major cultural TV channels in Europe, Russia, Australia and Canada. There are many CDs and DVDs already to Roberto Giordano's credit. His discography includes seven CDs,published by the labels Cyprès and La Bottega Discantica, and recently chosen by Alitalia on the board programming.
His videography includes, in addition to numerous videos for international broadcasters, two major works: a DVD for the series Pianissimo Collection, and recently, the DVD “Roberto Giordano plays Chopin”, both broadcasted by Sky Classica.
His performances are regularly recorded and broadcasted by RTBF and VRT, Belgian Radio, RAI, Radiouno, Radiotre, Radio 24, Mediaset, ABC (Australia), FRANCE 3, ChinaTV (China), Vatican Radio, Bel-RTL and the Luxembourg Radio.
Roberto Giordano joined the concert career also with a passionate teaching experience, actually at the Institut Supérieur de Musique et Pédagogieof Namur(Belgium) and at the Conservatory "F.Cilea" of Reggio Calabria.
In 2015 he is designated as teacher at the famous International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” of Imola, Italy and Yamaha Artist by the Yamaha Music Europe.
