About Nintendo Zone Finder

** Important **
Please keep in mind that all data shown is a continuous effort. If we are missing data around your location please let us know as we can add it very easily without an app update. Eventually all data will be available, please be patient. All help is greatly appreciated too, so give us an email with your address or latitude/longitude if we missed a few!
**

Nintendo Zone Finder allows you to find the closest Nintendo Zones to your current location!
Click through the zone map annotation or closest zones section to display a navigation route to the desired Nintendo Zone location.

Nintendo zones are Wifi zones that interact with your 3DS or 3DS XL to upload and download user data (6 at a time). To activate your 3DS for streetpass turn your connection on and put your 3DS in sleep mode! Streetpasses can help you in games or unlock extras. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot! It's fun :).

No zones listed in your area? Let us know in the comments or email what area you live and we'll be sure to populate your surrounding zones :).

Very functional app. I like it when apps just work the way they say they do.

There's a Starbucks and a burger King that are missing, for example.

The app mostly works. Its helpful since Nintendo removed the map from their site. However it still shows locations that aren't correct. For example, Starbucks that have switched to google wifi. Also the settings button appears to do nothing.

O70%
by O####:

Good concept, but issues. Still showing Starbucks that now use Google Wifi, and there is a McDonald's near me that I have never been able to get spot passes from via relay ever, so I'm not confident that they even have a functional Nintendo Zone. But this app says they both do. User beware, I would probably call the location if you are making/modifying your trip for your 3DS.

N70%
by N####:

Wildly inaccurate. Settings do not work at all.

D70%
by D####:

Might have to remove the whole starbucks locations from it since starbucks wont be nintendo zones anymore

G70%
by G####:

The app has a menu with one option: settings. On my phone (Kyocera Hydro Vibe), selecting this literally does nothing. If there are no settings, you did get rid of that menu so the app doesn't seem broken. Also I will echo others saying get rid of all Starbucks since they no longer participate! I live in the Northwest of the US, so about 2/3 of locations listed are Starbucks...

This is much easier than trying to use the locator at Nintendo's website on my smartphone's dumb web browser. Plus, it uses GPS to figure out which Zones are nearby, so I don't have to type it in like with Nintendo's own locator. There's one small glitch I've noticed where it swaps the location/destination fields when you click through to Google Maps for driving directions, but it's not a big deal, because I can just switch them back. If they fix that, it will be perfect!

After helping the Dev trouble shoot I can say it is working better than I expected great work

My main complaint is not that the database of Nintendo Zones is incomplete. It does say very specifically in the app description that it is a work in progress. No, my problem is that the authors have requested that people e-mail them information about zones not already in the app (so they can be included in future updates), but I can't find any contact information for them in either the description, nor the app itself, so I can't tell them about the many zones that aren't listed in my area (Pocatello ID).

Current Location, Google Map Fragment, Clickable Location to Android Google Maps, Location Name. THIS IS AWESOME!!! I was looking for something like this last month! Great job dude! I'm sure to use this more as I travel. You really know your stuff and I'm glad that I found this. Edit: Is it possible to add places that we plan to visit? A marker placement or address should do if you are using google maps, but great job none-the-less.

I love this app, but I think it needs to list every single Nintendo Zone hotspot around the world.

The ability to write a review of certain zones or report on a non-zone would be nice. There are several zones around where I live that are not set up or do not work. There are also some that don't work but commonly have people at them with 3ds's that can streetpass. Also, I would like to look at other areas that are not my current position.
