HONK - Towing & Roadside

Called for a tire change. Was told it would be 60 minutes after waiting about and hour and 15 min called tow truck driver who said the order was never dispacthed.So now after about and hour and half of waiting and making calls now it will be another 30 min. They apologize. For the cost I expect way more 49 dollars to put a donut on!

Charged me $70 for a jump, didn't get jumped. The guy showed up with a cheap battery jumper, and refused to conect the cables in a manner concordant with the manual for the jumper, let alone for my car. Honk support called and tried to charge me extra to have the guy tow me home. Good thing i declined. Literally all i had to do was clean my connections. Honk is still trying to charge me for literally nothing. My car works fine, no thanks to Honk. Avoid at all costs.

Make sure the provider has a motor carrier permit a business license or is listed on Google or Yelp before they even attempt to change your tire give you a jump start or deliver fuel... There are many fly-by-night providers that have been contracted by Honk. They under bid DO NOT, legal documentation, tax ID numbers or pay taxes... everything is done all for-profit but it shouldn't be at the customer's expense when it comes to qualified providers...

The charge twice retail and award the tow to the lowest bidding provider, who is usually the most incompetent. .. Are we really that stupid??

Tried to use app to find service for a lockout of keys in car. Couldn't process my cards. Tried three cards and none would work. Don't use this app its awful

Prices are ridiculous, $75 for a gallon of gas??? $75 alone fills up my tank with $$$ to spare... Not paying someone $73 for 10 mins of their time

No one responds

After being left stranded by my insurance providers so called road side assistance after an 1.5 hours I called a local number, after an hour I called them back to see how much longer only to be hung up on and unable to reach them. I was given the number to Honk. Super friendly lady helped me. Within 2 minutes I received a text on who was coming and how long, under 30 minutes. With another 1 minute I received a call from the person who was coming. Wish I knew about this 3 hours ago. Great service.

No confirmation of service charged twice a scam

They auction off job to lowest bidder and some scum bag shows up who doesn't have a clue what there doing. Cracked my front bumper and now i have to pay to get it fixed. Thanks for nothing Honk. Learn from me and google and call a local tow company, probably cheaper too.

Do not use this. They have hidden fees and if they don't have trucks in your area they don't even tell you before taking your money!! DO NOT USE THIS !

This really is just like using Uber, right down to the live map of the driver's progress to you (which enabled me to get him to me when he got lost). No having to track down a provider, the app does it for me.

My car is lowered. I had to have it towed today. I called my insurances' roadside assistance program to get a truck. Before we completed the transaction, I asked if their tow companies could move a lowered car. "No sir they can not". Ok, well looks like I'm stuck. I googled tow services for lowered cars and found this app, downloaded it, and signed up. The apps estimated time said that the tow truck would be to my location in ~20 minutes. In reality it took about 45 minutes but that was my fault because I dropped the pin at the wrong location. The driver showed up and got to work. He was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful. He took care of my car as if it was his own. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is because I think the app itself needs to be updated. The app does not allow me to add amplifying information about my car (i.e. lowered) and I can't seem to change any of my profile settings like adding a picture of myself or deleting cars that I've added. I also feel that the "change location" option should be a "notes" option that gets sent to the driver so you can explain your exact location or provide extra information without having to call the driver. I will be recommending this app to people I know. Honk is a great service but is not without some non-user-friendly issues.

Great price and even better service! Really helps in a jam. Sometimes you may have to wait a little bit, but sometimes it's incredibly fast! The technicians would LOVE to get there in less than 5 minutes everytime. They get paid less than $20 for each job so trust me they are doing everything they can to get to you as quickly as possible! Love it.

Warning warning. If there is not a truck in your area this app will not tell you until after it removes money from your account. Just an fyi.

They charged my credit card and promised me an ETA. 15 minutes after the ETA had passed they cancelled my order. Leaving me on the side of the highway stranded because "they didn't have any contractors available". Very shady service

Charged my card, then get a message that they have no drivers in my area in Denver CO. Now I'm stranded. Worst service ever. Total scam.

Total ripoff. I had a flat tire and had a spare. I didn't have a new rim though and didn't know that was important. Tow guy came out and said he couldn't do anything and left. Then one of the apps representatives calls and said I "miss represented" my problem. They charged me half of the total service price for doing absolutely nothing!! I don't know anything about cars so thats why I called a professional.im a single parent and can't afford to have my $$ just wasted like that!! I will never use again!!

Well sounds okay, my roadside is included with my insurance, i pay no extra. And Honk wants $75 for lock out, and I get it for free. And I never waited longer than 30 minutes. And they stayed in contact with me.
