About ROAD iD

The Road ID app is perfect for runners, cyclists, kids, hikers, walkers, skiers and basically anyone not glued to the couch. Get it and you’ll have safety and peace of mind in the palm of your hands.

Send an eCrumb (electronic breadcrumb)
- Allow friends or family to track you while you’re out for a run, bike, hike, ski, or just walking the dog.
- Track your child as they walk to school or ride their bike to a friend’s house.
- Notify friends and family if you stop moving with the Stationary Alert Notification.
- Contacts can track your movement from any web browser on any device. They don’t need to have the app too.

Lock Screen
- Create a personalized Lock Screen that includes up to three ICE (In Case of Emergency) contacts as well as important health information such as allergies, medical conditions and blood type.
- If you can’t speak for yourself, your Road ID Lock Screen will.
- Set as your Wallpaper. On supported devices, set as your Lockscreen Wallpaper.

*Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background may decrease battery life.*

We take your privacy seriously. Seriously! http://ecrumbs.roadid.com/privacy

We ask for access to your CONTACTS only so you can use the contact picker to pick your emergency contacts, we only store their number or email so that we can send an SMS or Email to them notifying them of your ride and in the event of a stationary alert going off.

PHOTOS is so you can create an image that has emergency contacts, your details, and a free form box for medical details that you can then save as your lock screen wallpaper. The photos access is so you may choose one of your own pictures as the background and so we can save the finished picture to your Gallery.

Very easy to use! Works great with both my Galaxy Grand Prime and my daughter's LG! Use it daily for running and for my daughter's road trips! I've been using it for over a year now and I wouldn't run alone without it!

Excellent app that let friends and family know where I'm at and how I'm doing on those long runs and rides. Simple to use and rock solid. Great support also! End of activity emails are hilarious many times! Keep up the good work!

Great app. And a great company. Tracks and let's my wife and daughter know where I'm at on my bike rides. Thanks

Excellent app . I enjoyed using it everyday. Keeps my buddies in the loop where I am. The map interface is great and sending sms to 5 numbers is marvelous. Thank you very for the Road ID app .

I have Samsung Galaxy S7 Android 7.0 and used for years until it stopped working last month. Several reinstalls didn't fix it then I changed Power saving mode on my phone from MID to OFF and now it works again. I don't recall changing the settings so it may have happened automatically with a phone software update. Now my date & time are off 2 days so I need to figure out how to fix that which is why this is 4 stars not 5.

Thought it was a great app on the HTC one M8. But I can't get it to work on the Galaxy S7. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times. Keeps saying it is sending and authorized token to my email but nothing is showing up. I've checked my spam/junk folder and it's not there either.

D70%

This app. used to work great but now can barely track a few miles accurately. Ads and other garbage are taking away from the true functionality of this app. On a new S7 or S8 barely works.

I've been using this app for over 2 years to track my runs and let my husband know where I am. The emails received after my runs are hilarious. I recommend this app to everyone!

Was not pleased with accuracy. I ran 5 miles it said I ran 2.5 miles. I do understand that it might be off a little, but not that much.

D70%
by D####:

Accurate and easy to use. Is there a way to see the time at a specific point along the route? That way you know when someone was at a certain point if you need to start looking.

D70%
by D####:

Ecrumb link inaccurate, sends bad or no data to my contact. Info being sent to Apple 7

D70%
by D####:

All the "crumb" links go to the same random spot in KY. I am nowhere near KY.....

D70%
by D####:

Its quite good. Seems a bit flaky about starting to track. Requesting the ability to disable the timer - I'll be back when I'm back OK.

D70%

This is great. It let's folks keep track of me and it is easy to us.

Never had a problem. Great for letting family know where I'm riding.

Don't like it

I use this everyday when out riding my bike, walking or hiking. It recently stopped sending SMS messages to my wife but still send the e-crumb to email accounts. SMS is so much handier since she can set a specified ring tone for messages from road id. Wish it would work again.

I have had two occasions when it sent an SOS message without any audible warning first. I believe that I may have briefly been in spots with no cell phone coverage. Apparently whenever that happens no alarm is generated, however notifications are sent out! The first time one of my lifeline buddies started driving toward my last known location. The second time it happened my lifeline buddies did not respond. What would they do if/when I had a true emergency? Bad app design I think.

This app is a potential lifesaver for those who cycle alone. You can set it to upload your location so selected people can know your whereabouts, and/or more usefully ( and more respectful of your privacy and bandwidth usage), you can set it to first loudly warn you that have been stationary for 5 minutes, and then after a reasonable time to cancel, it sends a warning with your location to selected recipients. Minor problems with the stationary alert not shutting down, very rarely.

Works perfectly. Provides comfort for my wife when I ride alone.

I love the peace of mind this app brings

I have used this app in so many ways - training alone, racing so friend can track me, so my kids can see how close to home I am. I absolutely love it until it stopped tracking me. It turns on and looks like it's tracking but always registers 0.00 at the end and does not follow me. Using a galaxy 6.

I have had issues with my last few rides. It sends the start notification but my app never starts tracking. It takes one second off the time and just stays there. When I finish no end text but I do get an accurate end email. So weird. I am working with a Droid mini

I bought a Road Id bracelet and saw this app to use with it. It worked from Jan through July 1st of this year and stopped showing my route, mileage or my location to my contact the start of July. I contacted the designers 4 or 5 times and they keep saying they are having issues with a few phones. So far I am reading Samsung issues everywhere. I have a Galaxy S5. Two months later and they keep telling me they are working on it. It is a great program if it works.

Have used it for over a year and loved it until last update. Now, does not work. Will not track you. Well tell you where you are when you start and when you stop. Will draw a straight line between both points. My wife will call me asking am I ok since will not update on my position. I have called and wrote emails to company. They say they will get back in touch with you but they don't. You have to call during work hours to have someone actually talk to you. I tried their suggestion and still no go. Unhappy

Over the past several weeks at random times this app has sent SOS messages to my 5 listed contacts. Freaking them out thinking I'm in danger. This bug needs to be fixed immediately.

X70%
by X####:

Time on ap stops updating and appears to be frozen. Occassionally just stops working all together. When the stationary alert comes on it doesn't ever actually appears and I can't get to the cancel screen. My wife is also having trouble with the website and can't zoom into the map.

T70%
by T####:

Errors are getting more frequent. False alarms for stopping when I haven't. But when it works, great.

X70%
by X####:

Variety of bugs including unable to detect contact cell numbers and unable to save lock screen image. I love the idea however!

X70%

Let's my wife keep up with my travels as I ride bike. I follow my brother. It's great but can be hard on the battery. So limit the number of applications you're running when you set it to go.

Worked well before but now Showing no location data to my contacts so they couldn't find me anyway.

L70%

I love being able to go for bike rides and have my be able to find me in emergency, even if i change my route, at the last minute. I set up my lock screen to contain contact numbers and medical info.

P70%
by P####:

I like this but I would really prefer to have a start/stop button instead of having to set the expected time that I'll be out.

L70%
by L####:

I do a lot of solo rides. This gives my wife some peace of mind. One feature that would be great would be to have a user select for time of the stationary alert. 5 min. is kind of short.

N70%
by N####:

App will not stop at the end of my ride. Keeps sending stationary alerts.

X70%

I really like this app. Easy to use. The distance is fairly close to what I get on my Garmin. I like that my wife can keep up with me when I am running. Really come in handy for races.

X70%

Works everytime..keeps me feeling safe while I'm out on my long run

X70%

It worked great for months. The last 3 rides it will not work.

X70%

Keeps me safe while outside running, walking, and in general.
