Then StatusBarAddon allows you to do more actions directly from the Android status bar. Manage your common preferences directly from the status bar whenever you are and inside any application.
This free and non root application works on any Android (no root or custom roms required) and makes it easy to configure and access android configurations.
After installing, just slide your finger along the status bar, and the custom controllers show up.

Thanks for this little app, adds a second status bar for easy, fast access to some common things. I wanted to be able to quickly change the screen brightness on my Galaxy Y, which is one of the functions. Also like the ability to have a custom activity (load an app). I did think this app worked at first but you have to either hold your fing on the status bar for about a second or gently swipe left or right on the status bar to open the new menu. Thanks for this app. Gav

This worked great for adding a quick-access music volume slider to my status bar. Perhaps you can add an option for no notification sound when the volume is changed?
