Resize Images For Email for Android
I started this app up and it spent like a minute generating thumbnails and then showed a poorly laid out grid of microscopic thumbnails that I could not even identify. Garbage!
My favourite feature is the connection with Share to with multi selected images. You can send more images in low mobile speed. On other side resizing in preview mode would be added with file system mode.
Well done :) This is an excellent app, does exactly what I expected and it's only $1. The author is kind and willing to improve it. Summary: + works with multiple images, + resize to 4 predefined sizes (resolution), + set custom jpeg compression for resized images, + set custom subject and email text (works with gmail app, haven't tested others), + the resized images are not showing up in the album (in some apps the resized photos are left and you have to manually delete them), + keeps some useful exif tags on the resized images (especially geolocation and camera orientation). What I would like to see in future: - custom resolution set by user on settings page - check internet connection before sending (enable/disable in settings) - set default sorting in gallery view (or remember last sorting method) Note for users, set your jpeg compression after installing because it may default to 100% which will make your photos much larger than required. I suggested it to the author and I think he'll fix this soon. Once again - excellent app, thanks Raphael!

It functions, and the design is okay, but the photos are attached as MIME type text/plain, preventing them displaying in multiple email clients without saving locally first, and the resizing seems to be nearest neighbor rather than bilinear or cubic or whatever, so the images are unpleasantly jagged / pixely. I'm using K9 for email.
