About Plasma Sound
Plasma Sound is the most fully-featured and 100% free music instrument on the Android Marketplace!
Beautiful music instrument inspired by the Theremin, Continuum, Keyboard and Sequencer. Touch the screen and a note is generated. It's X-Axis (left-to-right) is pitch, which is designated by note and octave markings. It's Y-Axis (up-and-down) is up to you to control! Plasma Sound is incredibly configurable. Pick the note range, the waveform, cutoff, delay, tremolo, vibrato and more! You can even select between continuous mode (theremin-like), quantize mode (keyboard-like), and a hybrid.
Plasma Sound applies the same principals to the Sequencer to give you even more music creation abilities! Select a note to activate it, and drag up and down to select it's Y-value, controlling the same thing that the Y-Axis controls in the Keyboard section. Immediately you get an incredibly dynamic and versatile sequencer.
This app is known to have problems with older/lower end phones. The original Droid is known to work (just barely), but phones with lower specs will most likely run in to problems. Please don't leave a bad comment if your phone doesn't work; it's an intense app, intended for tablets (although an honest effort is put in to supporting older phones, I promise).
On top of all that is a beautiful visual based off of MSAFluid, The sound is generated by libpd.

Very unusual app to make sounds by sliding fingers on screen. It also allows you to use more than one finger. Not 5 star because it makes crackling sound if move fingers too quickly. Will no doubt spend quite a time exploring what it can do. To have a sequencer too is amazing

I have just discovered a new instrument for use in live ambient space applications. The only thing that I would add is some extra filter controls... And even then is getting picky on my part. Well done indeed!

This app is so unique and such an enjoyment to use that it is impossible to descibe it all in one short desciption. I can say that I have an iphone 7 plus as well as this samsung j3, both loaded with tons of apps. Plasma has stayed and will remain one of my top three out of all others. A must have for anyone who can appreciate the art of making sound and even more so for those who can make that sound into music. Thank you

They are serious when they say problems with older phones. Mine resisted loading. Then became unresponsive while it looped. I had to remove my bat to turn off my phone. I was downloading at the time. They warned me.

The fact that it doesn't have a second waveform generator makes it pretty useless. But it's still OK for what it does.

Love playing with plasma! My 2.5 y.o. son loves it too! The other night I brought it out around the fire and played solos with acoustic guitars! It sounded awesome! Doods all downloaded immediately! Sometimes the sound crackles, but I think that's a phone issue as that doesn't happen with the standard ( non-HD) version. Sounds great through blue tooth speakers. The slight delay between taps and sound are no problem when playing with others cuz it's easy to account for while playing.

Seemed like a great app but there is this buzzing sound in it I cannot get rid of no matter what I do. It even shows up when recording so it makes the whole app useless. To bad, since everything else about the app is very nice.

I'm neither musically nor technologically inclined, but there's something in me that wants to play an instrument. And here I came across this app, put my finger to the screen - and the Disney-sci-fi-creativity-magic-Tinker Bell-loving side of me went "Wow!!!" Even if I turned off the incredible sounds, I'd still be hypnotized by those Fantasia colors! And I get to play with those incredible sounds too! And learning to use it's amazing as well! All for free - without ads!! Did I forget to say "Thanks!?"

Enjoyable fun and has enough customisation options to make it interesting. There is a bug though, sometimes the sequencer options disappear and I have to restart the app.

It's interestingly different fun and free! I play with it, close it after some creative fun, then immediately open it again like a kid with a new toy! Addictive stuff!
