LightTrac for Android

This is such garbage! You can't adust location, or date and cant add saved places etc. I loved this for IOS but this version is a waste . As a photographer I used it often planning sessions dates in advance to get the best light. I really wish I could be refunded. Waste of money! Do not buy this!!

The IOS version has so many more features. When I moved to an Android tablet I was so so so dissatisfied with this version. Avoid, not worth it even if it was free....

As others have said the only version available for android is 1.0. My Motorola Droid Turbo does not have a dedicated menu button. Most newer phones don't. No way to choose different date or to enter a different address. If you know the geographic area well enough and can recognize a house or building on an aerial map, you can drag/zoom around for location, but that can be VERY challenging.

This app hasn't been updated since 2013, and the basic features i wanted, change the date, get moonrise, moonset are not responding. Worthless.

Update now have a Samsung S7 St I'll now working,... Developer needs to fix the app, I can't access the menu at all on a LG g4. Can't update location.. Please fix

It worked on my S4 when I purchased it. Upgraded to a Note 4 a couple years ago, and can no longer see moon rise/set. Still, in November 2016. wish the developer would fix, but seems to be abandonware.

Not updated since 2011. Android abandoned. Stick to iOS if you want to use this app. No ability to change the date renders it useless.

Access to the menu on galaxy note 4 is a long press on bottom left button. Took a while for me to work out.

Doesn't work. Just one screen, nothing more. And Light trac doesn't reply to my complaints. I got my refund via google play.

Great for present location and day, but there's no menu button on my LG G3 & Samsung Tab S. Please fix

This is a great app especially for photographers. I use it to see best time to visit areas I want to photograph. Highly recommend it.

This worked perfectly on my Samsung S2 but does not work on my S5 mini. Sort it out people...

Can't change location - useless

Simple, but powerful.

There is no menu to search date or location. App opens at location it was installed on phone. Add says plan your shoot ahead of time, which is not possible. Since nothing can be changed ... don't purchase until developed provides a fix.

A ground-level view would be a huge help, but just the overhead angle with timeline is extremely useful on its own. This has already saved me from disastrous too-early shooting and kept sunrise out of models' faces.

This is a sorry excuse for an app. First of all it was recommended in a photography course I was taking. A number of participants downloaded the app (I paid) and when the app opens it is always at the location of where the seminar was given. Save your money as you are unable to open the app as to where you presently are as it defaults back to the location as to when you downloaded the app. That is totally worthless. It needs a menu button to allow you to maneuver locations.

Download sun position map app instead. It's free, and it actually does everything you assumed this paid version would do, like include the moon and allow you to see dates other than today only.

No menu to change date and location for Note 4. Only shows present date and location. Am I missing something? Need help here because I need to use this for a future date/different location...

Try installing it while I was away on holiday. It loads on my holiday location and pressing current location does not do any thing.

Edited 27 Jun 2016: After many months of no time to play with cameras, I came back to this today to discover that you can no longer see any date other than today. Disappointing. One star now. Old review: Everything it does, it does well. Its only lack that I can find is a quick easy way to pick a date based on the compass bearing of sunrise or sunset. It requires a bit of trial and error.

Menu is no longer available as others have mentioned. It really defeats the purpose of having this app if you can't search locations.

The app is practically useless, worked awesome on my galaxy s4, now with a galaxy note edge, have no access to options. App needs to be updated to include a menu button as newer phones no longer have a dedicated menu button

Need to add more functions such as separating moon and sun, also add what is available for the Apple products!

I'm a photographer and this app makes venue scouting so easy. I love it!

One star until fixed

Had to uninstall and reinstall every time I used it. It simply never kept up with changes of location.

Couldn't change location, angle or date. Not useful on Samsung phones.

Used to love this until I tried it on my S5. I lost my menu! I have no way to control the options. Almost worthless at this point.

Worked great on my Motorola droids. Does not work on S5. No menu to change date, location etc. Please fix.

This app is exactly what I need but the menu button does not appear on my S5. Works fine on my Nexus 7 tablet. Will rate higher if rhe S5 problem is fixed.

At times it locks up on my Samsung note 3. Slow on the map updates while on the G3 network. Works ok on my wifi.

Great app! My only suggestion would be to allow rotation of the map and still show the sun's angle. It would also be nice if the app had the same features as the apple app...

I used this app often on my old HTC Desire, but with new Android versions coming out this app doesn't work on my new HTC One SV. The menu disappeared where I can adjust the settings and whenever I move to a new location it doesn't update. Hope there will be an update for this app soon to fix this!

Very similar to some competitor apps. Uninstalled though. Looking for an app that can anchor a point, then freely pan map to see moon azimuth.

droid version does not let you look at future dates and places. Not good for planning phpotography in the future.

Does exactly what I need it to do. Thanks!
