What's Changed
v1.91:
- Removed the Ads and the Permissions needed for them :)
As such the app always had Ads, just the previous network didn't work properly to show them.
v1.9:
- Using a new Ad Service (Mobclix).

Nowhere in the description does it say you must have the PAID version of Titanium Backup. I would like to try this but. must have the Donate verison to convert it to the system app. :( I will re-rate it when I can get the PAID Ti Backup. 2 stars.. lack of Documentation.

C70%

Like the others I made it system app, followed instructions and backup was still denied. If you ever find a different solution I'll be happy to give it another try and change my review. Thanks

This application works perfectly. for those of you running into any issues, you have to make sure you convert this to a system application with titanium backup, and you have to put this into the priv-apps folder instead of the regular apps folder, if you do that you will not run into any issues.

Been having trouble with my apn lately, been trying to restore it, found this great app and sad to say it isn't compatible with android 4.0 + Still giving five stars because if it were compatible with my version of android, my apn problems would be resolved.

J70%

App does what it says tin, and developer is very responsive to issues/concerns. As a note, I don't mind ads in free apps, however there are ways of adding them without needing my phone's identity. :)

I do backup then delete APN. After that I restore APN but not working! Work after reboot phone. HTC Desire

This app would help many of us using lollipop to solve our APN issues with cyanogen and other ROM's.I would gladly pay to use that functionality, keep up the good work regardless! :)

C70%

Please fix it. Thanks. Fixed data issue with Reliance Cdma ruim enabled phone by adding(restoring from an xml file for Reliance cdma) the apn.

Potential to be great, just does not for Android 4.0 or higher. Workaround that and have a paid for version and we're good. Did not work on Galaxy Note 2

I wish this app would be updated to be more compatible and easier to use with 6.0+ roms. still functions but is a hassle

C70%

The free version of this app does not restore or delete apn. It also says this app does not support Android 4 and up.

Just followed the instructions. Rooted phone, Android 4.3, convert to system app using Titanium Backup Pro, disable ICS check, and it is perfect. Very helpful to preserve vital APN info when flashing custom ROM. For Android 4.4.2 you need to move the APK to the /system/priv-app directory using Root Explorer to make it work.

It's work on my device android 4.1.3, 4.3 and 4.4 but i must convert it to system app before. Thanks !

Edit: I disabled ICS check, and now it tells me it has no permission to delete or restore ?! I need to fix a problem in my mobile as I can't open the APN settings, but this tool can't delete the APNs, and gives a message "it is not supported with android 4+ to delete or restore , what I can do ?

T70%

Doesn't work in 5.0, even with root. It looks like you have to move installed files to a different location to get it to work in 5.0, and even then it still has weird permission errors.

So... now I can backup my useless APN settings, then edit, then restore 'em back?... How? Just like that?... Over writing? I haven't done anything yet, though, if that's the case, this is just what I needed!... Is it...?

It works.First needs to be converted to system application with Titanium Backup Pro and than applied disable ICS option.I have to put my phone in airplane mode in order to restore successfully the backup file.

this app will save your life when on Ting and wanting to install a new rom. Note on JB you must use titanium backup to make a system app, reboot, then in the apps settings disable the ICS check

Especially if youhave several Sims, different operators... etc. Without this I would have to backup everything on the phone for each sim

H70%

This app should allow the user to select which apps to backup. I suggest that the publisher should modify this app so the user can select which apps to backup.

After flashing ROMs I usually lose my MMS. This app is the only thing that got it back. Boost Mobile Moto G CDMA by the way. Thanks :)

Desire HD SVHD with Android v4.0.4, cannot restore apn, only backup which is kind of pointless.

You have the best app for apn managing. Just add root access for those on 4.0+

M70%

This is a must-have app used for backing up and to restore any internet connection issues you may encounter. Restoring from your backup will be a lifesaver! I agree with @AJ_Labretto! YES

If you're on 4.4 or later & have root, just cut/paste from /data/app to /system/priv-app with a file explorer app & then reboot. Disable ICS check in app once rebootdd. Works perfectly for me.

This is a great app if you need to send/receive pic messages for a custom rom that was made for a different carrier. (Flashing verizon rom on alltel in my case.) Just download apn zip file for your carrier and put the zip in this apps folder then delete other apns and restore the one u want. It does work for rooted phones and ics with instructions for ics above. Please study these things before putting negative comments.

For 4.4.x+ you MUST have root... you need to copy the apk to: "/system/priv-app/" and set the permissions to: "rw-r-r" then disable ICS check in the app. Works perfectly.

I got a kyocera hydro elite unlocked phone off ebay to use with straight talk. When I got it I found out the hard way that the ability to edit APN names is disabled on this verizon phone. I found I could root it using Kingo Android Root, then use Titanium backup (pro) to switch this app to a system file, and then use Offline Sim APN to actually setup new information(also converted to a system file). Apparently android 4.1 and newer prevents other apps from messing with the APN but rooting and moving the apps to the system folder fixes that limitation. This utility will save the configuration currently in the phone and it will wipe the old APN which you may have to do to prevent the newly added information from being defeated by the old info. When you find a working APN setup this will save it so next time you can easily just restore your backed up APN (through this utility). When you use this be sure to shut off ICS check (I think it's off by default) or it won't work properly. You may also have to make sure USB debugging is on in the developer options. Thank you for this utility, if they would add the ability to edit APN info this would be a 1st class app that I'd pay for!

If it doesn't it mean that you need the phone to be rooted and the app transferred to system for it to work.
