About Speed 1-6
Description
U.S. Figure Skating, the premier source for all things figure skating, has teamed up with Rink Tank Interactive to bring you the ' U.S. Figure Skating Skate Coach' app series for Android!
The Skate Coach app series was designed to help skaters, parents, instructors and officials understand the standards set for the Basic Skills Program through the use of high definition video examples.
The Speed 1-6 app introduces skaters to beginning speed skating techniques. Skaters should have passed Basic 4 and above before trying this curriculum. The techniques shown include basic positions, edges, turns, starts and speed development. A special thank you to 2002 Olympic Gold Medalist Derek Parra, Steve Johnson & Aspen Gardner for their awesome demonstrations, as well as Vikki Dixon and the Utah Olympic Oval Management team for generous support and ice time to this project!
Whether in the comfort of your own home, traveling to the rink or during practice, you will always have a Skate Coach in your pocket!
