BAR score

The British Aneurysm Repair score is based on data from 11423 patients who underwent elective abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair in the UK between April 2008 and March 2011. The BAR score provides an estimate of the risk of in-hospital mortality for a group of patients with the same preoperative characteristics. It does not predict outcomes for individual patients. The data used to develop the BAR score may contain inaccuracies and incompleteness. Prior to using the BAR score you must make your own assessment of the suitability of the model and the information or data contained in or generated from BAR score.
