Wear Audio Recorder for Android
I had an S3, now its a J7 (6.0 - Marshmallow) and didn't work after I upgraded the watch. It gets an IlegalStateException. I sent an email to developer and nothing. If you care, i just got a video with the error, but I can't upload it here
This app is all about audio yet there is no intelligible sound on the promotional video in Google Play. Not a good start. The app asks permissions for everything including making phone calls but doesn't offer any explanation why it needs to control your life. I just hope I didn't install a trojan. Uninstalled immediately.
I bought the feature that allows you to record on my smart watch but it does not work at all. I have a motto 360 2nd generation and and HTC m10 which should be pretty new to use a simple feature. I get an illegal= message, then it closes. Not happy at all.
I wanted to use this with my android wear, as I need to record lectures. The app is great for this as long as the max record time is less than 30 mins. Any longer than this , then there is only a 50 per cent chance it will get saved.
Using with ZenWatch 2 & having no issues. Haven't tried all functions yet but so far so good. Had problems with initial setup due to a launcher installed on the watch. A delete/trash button is needed by the edit, tag and share buttons.
It bugs out and crashes. On the phone it works fine but since I use it to record a lecture with my watch, it cannot bug out or I'll loose 45min-1hr of the lecture. The watch also said it synced but did not.
Garbage!!! Used to work. Now comes up with Java Error message on smartwatch. Sorry I wasted the money. Error shows up on 2 phones KitKat and Marshmallow, and 2 Smartwatches with latest software. Worked once upon a time.
Everytime I finish recording it crashes. It saves the audio file but it's the crashing that annoys me and frankly even "scare" me because as a journalist I have to make important audio records and if one day this app decides to crash and not save the audio file, I'm F***Ed.
Great, but a few bugs. Every time I record, my settings have been reset and rather than using the compressed file size, it records as an uncompressed wav file. Please fix to ensure settings aren't lost after app updates
Awesome. Worth paying for the upgrade to enable cloud storage. Customer service is awesome. Wear mini launcher was inhibiting the install. Emailed the developer. Received an email with simple instructions within 1min. Problem solved 3 Min's later.
Great in concept, badly executed. Has many bugs. Crashes constantly. Bought this app to record lectures but have lost valuable information due two crashes. Looking for a viable alternative that uses Android Wear.
The basic one is unusable. The basic should at least have basic function. With this experience, there in no way for me to consider upgrading.
It's so quick as a dictaphone; if I have an idea I need to strum on a guitar, or hum or tap out, this app is always there for me.. So long as I have 6% or more battery. The sync to Google docs is a little haphazard.. I am syncing all my recordings to date, having just got a pro account.. I can't quite tell what is being sent over, when; a details summary would be helpful. Recordings from this app are going to feed into a workflow on my pc, and I want to be sure that the recording I've just made will definitely be there when I get back to my desk. I am impressed that you can choose specific tags to be sent to different cloud services, though. Like one for Google drive and one for drop box.
I like the design and connectivity between wearable and phone.. But automatic sync with cloud doesnt work, which is really shame :/ otherwise I you'd give you 5 stars...
Piece of $#!+. This pile of crap has lost 2 critical recordings. The files are hidden from file explorers and to make them visible to them is almost as painful as listening to Trump talking. I would never pay for the full version based upon how it's worked. Don't bother.
This app is very well thought out. They keep improving it. The new, add photo, feature is very handy. Fantastic on Wear, and even better as an Android App.
Why recording stopped when battery is low.. I want to record anytime even if battery is 0%
Every time I try to use this app, it messes up. The recordings glitch, change speeds, cut short, and are an all around mess. Its infuriating.
LG Urbane with Note 5. Crashed on open every time. Had to uninstall? Did not work at all.
This is a fantastic app. I even tested by turning the phone off making a recording then turning the phone back on and syncing the watch with the phone and the recording transferred from the watch to the phone. So essentially you can record either from your watch or your phone anything you record on the watch will get transferred to the phone.
Always get a Java null runtime error. Can't record on my Huawei watch.
but crash all the time. i bought the full version and the license must be requested all the time.
It doesn't save or allow me to access recordings from wear device. It's not the permissions. The watch records, and says it is syncing with the phone, yet the app on the phone does not add the recordings.
Just started using, made a recording (wav) format, from my Moto 360. Interface matches all apps on Android 6.0+.Rest TBD.
Sorry, but crashes on my Sony Xperia X. Seems to make a recording, but then takes an extortionately long time to sync. Time to uninstall it.
Just started using it, I made a recording on my watch and it synced to my phone immediately. I would like to play back recordings on my watch instead of having to get my phone, unless I am doing something wrong. But other than that it's awesome.
Pretty good recorder.. except it asks me to pay Everytime I open it, and I have already paid for all features.. it doesn't remember my audio settings and I have to correct them Everytime I open the app
But somehow tags don't show immediately after recording . The need to new added from the main menu.
This app has its ups and downs. Sometimes it records, sometimes it doesn't. Quite buggy even with the paid version....
Doesn't work at all. Sticks at "synchronizing" for hours. Have uninstalled and reinstalled and adjusted settings with no solution.
It tells error occurred after recording and data was gone.
Worked once, after that it will not sync from watch to phone
Tried using on android wear and it doesn't sync back to the phone and it crashes and you can't exit from it on the watch.
It really doesn't record that good it is so horrible it is so we are weard weard weard
It was not as i expected. It did not work on the watch but is downloded in the android phone.
Volume is unacceptably low even with x7 setting. (Sony SW3)
Can't sync/save to phone
Used to work, now screen overlay error.
Does not seem to be able to play recorded file on watch itself (my watch has a built-in speaker: Asus ZenWatch 2). Can that be supported in the future? Ideal if I do not have my phone with me and recorded a quick note/reminder on my watch....Thanks!

I disagree with others who say this is the best recorder available. However it does depend on which feature you value most. Cloud storage is a great feature but it's not really necessary given drop Dropbox and Google Drive auto upload features. The must-have feature in my book is Skip silence. audio recorder doesn't seem to have it but Smart recorder does, and more features to manage quality.
