RIDGID® Sketch

Can't even draw a simple rectangle. Seriously? Even when you should be able to enter individual wall lengths, can't get it to keep 90° angle or close the shape. Wasted 30 minutes of my life messing with it!

Cool simple idea. But flawed. I tried putting a simple 25` x 50` room in. It will not maintain sqft. Said I had 9sqft after saving it. Cannot depend on it to maintain field notes for clients.

The snap and ortho settings were great on the plan. But then everything stops. Cant add more rooms or features. It hits a dead eng pretty quick. I dont want to open a new sketch for every room.

Very slow to not functional. Dimensions mis-sized in relation to the dimension line. and in a big white box

It is okay but needs some work... For basic project measurement and photos with measurements is cool.... I had something similar in 1987 on the commodore amiga paint and it's not moved on much since then. Shame you can't edit room drawings once complete, merge the rooms on a board to create a plan, add in wiring or draw on photos... It's so close to being good rather than okay.. This has potential to smash it in the app store

Nice simple format but I don't understand why it's so hard to let me draw internal walls once the box is closed? Pretty integral part of a floorplan.

Can't even fix angles . it keeps changing by itself . can't even fix measurement. Change one wall value it automatic changes others too . the one we putted manually . can't lock it

Photo overlay is extremely slow on my Moto Z. Other than that its a really nice and useful app

Doesn't quite work. Also need to be able to put shapes with shapes. Almost.

Can you update to change the units to tenths/ft?

4th graders do a much better job

I took a picture and drew everything up. Upon reopening the image, all the measurement lines were in one corner of the screen. It then created 2 duplicates of the same image and they now crash the app when opening. What a mess.

I have been searching for a suitable floor plan drawing app for sometime and this appears to fit my requirements, however, I would like some feedback on the following: 1 why can't I work in landscape mode as this is the most suitable way of working? 2 could mm be added to the dimension choices, most drawings are marked up (mm).and 3 why can't the annotation notes be opened up from the saved files? They can only be read when opened in the app! Otherwise seems to very good app. Thanks Teecee

Still doesn't recognize when device is in landscape mode and rotate the display. I use my 10" tablet in landscape most of the time so this is difficult to use on the tablet and can't use it in landscape on my Galaxy Note 3. Still can't handle fractions and distances over 12 inches must be entered in feet and inches, why can't I enter 44-1/2" in place of 3' 8-1/2" and be able to choose to have the app convert internally or leave as is ?

This is a great app but would be even better if you could imply following 2 features : 1, Ability to choose where files are saved. E.g. to sd card. 2, Ability to export or save to a pdf format.

The app and distance Meter have probably saved me quite a bit of time at jobs since i got it. My only issue is that when i send it in a email i can't take away the measurements on the picture. It would be nice to see an option to send it with the walls number, since it automatically puts it in the email. Also i would like to see a "windows" version of this app. Sometimes i would just rather use my surface instead of my phone.

Works okay, but is very limited, only right angles can be drawn, and is only designed for a single room per sketch with no entry ways. The export feature just compiles an email with wall numbers and measurements in the body with a low resolution image of the sketch (i tried to map the floor of a small house in one go and the image was incomprehensible) The resolution should be much higher and the measurements should be exported as a CSV so the data can be easily used. With further development this could be the PERFECT app for surveyors and estate agents alike, but at the moment its not much more than a cool feature to show off.

The app works great but is missing an important capability: wall angles that are not 90 degrees... Would be nice to be able to sketch a room with known angles and have the app calculate complement angles according to measurments. That would be a complet app according to me

Used to be great, now garbage! What is going on with photo overlay?? Cant rotate pictures anymore??? Really??? Go to share and either force crashes or wont display the image and notations properly. I have to screenshot the photo overlay and paste in place of the actual one in my email which is worthless because it defeats the purpose of the app now. Suposed to be able to click on notes on the photo to see what the note says, doesnt work anymore at all.
