haven't used on my new android but loads fine

N70%
by N####:

like the concept non profit & rounding to charity

N70%
by N####:

It worked just like Uber except you get to pick a charity to round up your fare to, and even gives the chance to tip the driver. I've used it twice so far. Both times were very enjoyable.

N70%
by N####:

Does not work with VoIP numbers... Guess they won't be getting my business.

R70%

I so much want to love this app, but after spending over an hour trying to use it and it not working after several reinstalls, I had to use lyft instead.

M70%
by M####:

You can't even sign on cuz it doesn't even know where you're at

G70%
by G####:

Happy to use a local ride share service, have made numerous trips with Ride Austin since it's inception and looking to keep doing so. App gets the job done!

N70%
by N####:

Uninstalled due to push notification spam about scavenger hunts. The only notifications I want from a ride app are the ones about my ride.

Z70%
by Z####:

Sending push notifications to my phone via this app about promotions or other nonsense is why I have uninstalled it.

N70%
by N####:

Support local businesses. Support local charities. Support locals. Couldn't ask for a better service.

N70%
by N####:

Great app, great alternative to Uber and Lyft.

N70%
by N####:

Awesome app, and you are supporting local nonprofits.

N70%

RideAustin has a solid app and most errors are cuaed by drunk users who have difficulty finding their phone. FYI folks, if your driver is getting sent to the wrong address, check to see where you requested the ride to - the pointer shows the spot. You can also call or txt the driver & give them the business name or address. There are a few addresses that are wrong in Google Maps & if it is a common occurance at your address, contact Google to fix it! The best part is Ride Austin has the lowest prices in town while paying drivers better than Uber or Lyft!

Only one i truly enjoy driving for, been in Austin since 1988 and love my people, spend your money here and it stays local! Ride with Uber and invest in California or you can Ride Austin and invest in Austin and their charities! This is what Austin is based on!

Decent app, but OH MY $#&@ING GOD, the persistent Notifications are infuriating!

Best rideshare app in Austin.

Not sure why this app has bad reviews? I'm currently visiting Austin for the first time and did not rent a car which everyone usually suggest since the city is spread out ... I'm glad I didn't. Cost around $14 a trip from my Air B&B to the city so saved a bunch of money and was much more reliable then Uber. I had Uber drivers cancel on me a number of times but not once using this app. I would highly suggest using it for those visiting and who live in the area.

Just created account but won't let me sign in? Pls fix it. Thanks Signed in using Facebook but terrible app. GPS shows my current location but somehow puts a totally different pickup location on picking a ride. Had to 'cancel' due to them picking a random wrong pickup location. Now will likely be stuck with a cancellation charge. Please fix this. Hope Uber or Lyft come to Austin. This is terrible. I wanted to support a local non profit organization but please fix this

T70%
by T####:

Downloaded on a recent trip to Austin since no Uber or Lyft. App had some problems while I was there, but was OK. My biggest complaint is that there is no way to disable or delete my account. I can uninstall the app of course, but then they still have my credit card (no Android Pay) and other info and I'd rather not trust them with it long term.

I don't understand why people always blame the apps, sometimes you just need to resart your phone and try again. As far as some of the issues listed Uber and Lyft have some of the same issues. I have had no issues with app.

C70%
by C####:

Round Up feature is great. The app originally had some stability issues, but has worked great for me every time the past six months or so. I'll continue to support our local non-profit even if Uber or Lyft return.

N70%
by N####:

Worked as well as Lyft does. My drivers are super polite and fun to ride with. I don't have any of the hiccups other reviews talk about. It makes me think there must be some kind of astroturfing going on with the negative reviews.

L70%
by L####:

Some driver stuck in traffic picks you, and it's an automatic $5 charge to override this unfavorable situation. Poor customer experience. Do these guys even use third own app?

G70%
by G####:

I live in Austin and this is my go-to ride hailing app. It is a local non-profit which I believe is the ideal business model for a company providing a necessary social service. Please round up to support local charities!

A70%
by A####:

Some great drivers and the others are scams. Their sever security is quite poor and needs serious oversight. Fight charges from phantom drivers aggressively.

Z70%
by Z####:

Great ride share app, not sure why the bad rating but it works just as well as those brands who shall remain nameless

N70%
by N####:

This is a great service. Uber admits they pay people to slander competitors; all the one stars should be considered praise.

N70%
by N####:

Had a driver that was flat out dangerous. All 3 passengers were scared. Submitted feedback to Ride Austin but never heard anything back. Will never use again.

Q70%
by Q####:

Horrible app. Said drivers were minutes away, then couldn't find them. After finally connecting with one, map in app wouldn't let me track. Also wouldn't let me respond to driver's texts. Horrible user experience.

N70%
by N####:

Anytime I try to zoom in on a map to pick my location it doesn't work right, and for some reason it always starts in Africa... not user friendly on customer terms.

W70%
by W####:

We had a good driver both times, the app was accurate with pickup locations, looks a lot like the uber app. Didn't take long to find a driver, if in Austin again I would certainly take it again.

N70%
by N####:

read all the scary reviews but it's working great for me - awesome, courteous and fast service 04/2017

N70%
by N####:

Gave up trying to use the app and it turns out it sent someone anyway after I had already left. had to pay 5 bucks for cancelling plus I tipped the guy because I felt bad that he drove there for nothing. won't be using this app again if I can help it

N70%
by N####:

Works half the time. Tells you how long until your ride arrives, but you'll have to multiply this time by at least two for it to be accurate. Decent at best. At least they'll get you to where you need to go.

R70%
by R####:

Your first ride will be free up to $25 if you use my promo code yitx1rgi. 《《《Sign up with my code the app is okay not expensive as the others but could be better.

N70%
by N####:

Was ripped off by then twice because of their POS app! Shame on me for going back to them after the first time.

N70%
by N####:

Does what it says, no problems, has a cool female driver mode for women? Happy to support nonprofit alternatives

K70%
by K####:

Works 95% of the time, non profit, can donate to charity, drivers seem to prefer this app. Quick, clean and friendly service

N70%
by N####:

First it won't let me delete my cc info. Really don't like the fact that they can keep it like that. And the first time using it the driver let someone else get in the car without making sure who they were. When I finally got ahold of him he didn't care and promised I wouldn't be charged. That was the first lie. After finally getting a response from them 5 days later they said they would refund my money. Another lie. Don't waste your time with these people who lie and steal.
