About NOAA Alerts
NOAA Alerts is a simple, lightweight app that provides real time updates as special weather advisories are issued by the National Weather Service. Select your location from a menu, turn on polling, and wait for notifications. Notifications are clear but unobtrusive; this app does not text you or spam your email, uses no distracting audible alarms, does not use any location services, and does not track your location or use your personal information. All it does is provide you with clear, useful, authoritative, real-time updates about weather issues so that you and your family may remain safe and informed at all times. NOAA Alerts would be a great addition to anyone’s collection of weather tools and widgets.

The Alerts are in an old style form with no reader that runs across the screen of your phone. I expected a much more user friendly and up to date app than what it is. I'm deleting.

I've got 3 similar apps on various devices and this seems to be updating faster than the others. But there's no audible warning with alerts, and I can't seem to find a way to turn them on. Are audible alerts available or do I really have to look at my phone every 2 minutes?

This would be the perfect little simple weather app if it would allow you to only receive the watches & warnings for the state you selected and not have other states info all mixed up in it

No gps settings. No manual settings for location. Where I'm at we are currently under a Tornado Watch. App claims there are no watches and warning anywhere in the US. There is a winter storm east of me, Fire danger west of me, and less than 100 miles north of me is a tornado warning. I can safely say, it does not work on this phone.

Horrible ad placement while closing. Also forces browser popups. Not a fan of this practice. Uninstalled.
