This app is now junk! I CANNOT delete a single file! No matter what file it is, it ALWAYS says that it cannot be deleted! I tried clearing the cache and data as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app, still cannot delete ANY file whatsoever!!

V70%
by V####:

I've always been very happy with this app, but on my rooted Nexus 6p (Android 7.0) the root explorer doesn't detect root, even after SuperSU granted permission. Otherwise this is the best file manager on Android.

O70%
by O####:

This used to be a great app, so good I was happy to pay for it. More though there has been no update in over a year and it does not work correctly in android 6. It cannot write files to the sd card.

A70%
by A####:

Still can't access my own sd card with this app and android. So annoying.

Z70%

Would like to see better marshmallow and nougat support. Not bad for an older outdated app, otherwise.

E70%
by E####:

I purchased this software - are they ever going to update it to be used with marshmallow???? I love this app but I need SD card access and its not there!!!

S70%
by S####:

Used to love this app. Has not supported SD transfer for a long time. Will come back when it does.

Z70%

What happened to the main page from the ad filled version. This app just takes me straight to the android storage and doesnt show the page displaying recent files or anything.

This app worked fine on my Samsung but on my new Motorola I can't get to the SD card????

Z70%

I find it odd that this is the exact copy of what I had years ago with Rhythm Software, and that I had to buy it again.... thanks guys.

Search for MiXplorer (not in the play store, on XDA) for a full-featured alternative.

We're on Nougat now. Do keep up.

Works fine except the weather has been broken for a year and never fixed.

To begin, i have been a pro user for years & believe ease of use makes this the best file manager available. Since upgrading to MM 6.01 i can no longer copy files directly to my external sd. Device is rooted & i have applied the sdfix for MM. Other file managers prompt for r/w access & everthing works geeat. File Manager Pro has yet to correct this issue. I've emailed them so maybe the fix is on the way, we'll c.

Update - Just upgraded my phone which has Android 6.0 installed and I don't seem to be able to install this app, when pressing INSTALL it just reverts back to the main screen!! I have been using the free version of this great app for a while now and just upgraded to the paid pro version, is there a way to export the settings from the free version and import them into the pro version? I have loads of network settings and would prefer not to have to reenter all over again!

F70%
by F####:

I was a long-time happy (and paying) File Manager Pro user until I got my first SD card and discovered I couldn't access it. Other Android apps quite sensibly ask for and receive permission to SD card, and I'm disappointed that this app is lacking what seems to be a basic function. Quickly found a much prettier (and free) File Manager (ZenUI, ASUS Computer Inc.) that works great.

M70%
by M####:

Great app, easy to use and great features. Only reason im not giving it 4 or 5 stars is because recwntly it will not allow me to connect to google drive anymore. Everything else wotks like onedrive and drop box so i dont know what the deal is.

G70%
by G####:

WHAT HAPPENED??? My whole life is on that card AND I CANNOT FIND IT:'( Bank statements, SSI award letters, MIDI files for my choruses, artwork, app backups, important documents. HELP!!!

Z70%
by Z####:

I've owned Cheetah Mobile products since my first smartphone. I've watched their development leaps & bounds over others. I have also seen them at their worst. They seem to rollout new features freely, but when their 'upgrades' fall short or mess up something, it takes forever for them to address the issue. If you want to use this app with v6.x & a SD Card, look elsewhere. Period.

H70%
by H####:

This app was excellent on older versions because used to bypass some OS restrictions and give access to advance config and features.... but now can't even modify SD Care content and it's very hard to acces the main menu. :(

D70%
by D####:

This app is not the same as the free version with the same name by the same people. This paid version is not very intuitive to use and, unlike the free version, does not support writing to the devices SD card. When I pay for a app I expect it to be as good as the free version but without the adverts, not an old out of date version.

T70%
by T####:

Still works fine for me. Some people are complaining they can't access their SD cards in Android 6. Try the /sdcard directory and then subdirectory "DCIM", "Download" or "Pictures". Some apps have their files in the /sdcard in subdirectories "company-name" or "app-name".

Paid for app couple of years ago but developer not taking time to update properly.

Z70%

I have been using File Manager Pro for a couple months now and like it for the most part. I have an issue where I can not connect to any lan using OS X. I can connect to a windows network fine but get an error for every lan connection I try on OS X. If this service would work I would be able to use the app for most of my needs.

N70%
by N####:

Since my Galaxy S5 & Tab S 10.5 were updated to Marshmallow, this file manager does not detect the internal SD card or the USB card reader. The non Pro version updated Sept 8th does both. For those complaining about SD card writing, this is due to Android restricting app access to writing internally only since Kit Kat. Only their My Files app allows this.

Y70%
by Y####:

Edit: Still no write excess to external SD. G3 5.0. Please add 2 options: 1) to put the tool bar at the bottom 2) to display the folder size when deleting folder(s) (safer when clearing empty folders). 5 ★ for that. Thanks.

[ File Manager Pro v1.16.9, Galaxy Tab S 10.5", stock Android v5.0.2, August 5, 2016 ] — Why are you SCREWING your PRO-paid users by denying all 10,000 of us the External SD card WRITE access that's available (WITHOUT ROOT) in the FREE version??? This has been a long-standing issue for which there is no excuse so, clearly, you don't give a sh*t. SHAME on you!

This app is awesome save for the write access restriction to the external SD memory. 4 stars.

Y70%

Needs support for 'Storage Access Framework' interface. Cannot modify external SD on Marshmallow.

Y70%

I use this file manager to keep my Business and personal file organized and easily accessible. The fastest and easiest I've used -

I love this interface! Please keep it this way! This app is awesome, I use it almost daily.

android 6.01 nexus 7 HD (2013) - app does not highlight selected files, so the app is useless as the user cannot tell what is being copied or deleted

X70%

Does almost everything I would expect from it simply and cleanly. Even works for my tablet. Wish it handled thumbnails like QuickPic.

Z70%
by Z####:

Would like to see better marshmallow support: ie/having external drive mounts visible in the navigation. MM default file manager has no issue (but is non-root)
