QuickEdit Text Editor Pro

I've probably made use of 10% of what this app has to offer, but what I've seen I like. For example, like desktop text editors it will try to restore open docs if you have closed the app (as tends to happen on mobile devices for a variety of reasons). I'd prefer if they put the "file menu" options in the top left corner menu, though. Either top left or top right. That's where they seem to want to be.

Great text editor! It's simple, lightweight, clean, and customizable, and works well for code files and general note taking. I appreciate the physical keyboard and Markdown support. To clarify for others, this pro version entirely gets rid of the pop-up dialog and extra click required when saving and/or exiting, not just the ads that are displayed. Probably would've bought it sooner had I known that!

I have not used it long but, so far, it performed flawlessly as a substitute for Microsoft's Notepad.

With new file, cannot change file name (auto-assigned "untitled") or set file type (setting: Autodetect). Can navigate to folder to receive, but cannot save. (Android 6, Galaxy S5)

Can you add encryption functionality before upload to my Drive or dropbox? I could pay for that function, everything else excellent, thanks

It is good although it can be better, if, automatic file save can be done in back ground without disturbing writing, and also starting a new file in cloud with only one click.

Five star. Wanted an app to quickly search/replace multiple occurrences of characters in my LyricPad song files. And QuickEdit Pro does it effortlessly!

Great text editor. Not bloated, and not buggy (except occasional crashing saving to external storage with a rooted device). UI is also quite clean.

Does not seem to have autocompletion when editing code files. Would be usefull, otherwise is great!

It took a while to figure out I had to use the storage manager to create new documents. Now I really like the app.

Concise editor, that can save to various cloud storages as well as locally. Awesome.

BEST programmer's editor for Android that I've found. Quite happy with it.

Good stuff, ladies and gentlemen. Fantastic syntax support. One very annoying thing is getting always back to the root of my storage whenever trying to open another file, instead of what would seem to be a cwd. Bookmarks and 'Last opened' just don't make up for this, way too complicated.

great app for scripting.. I hope this app will be able to compute json files in the near future.. there also, need to be an easier way to switch to preview rather than reaching all the way to the top of me screen to access a context menu then selecting preview every time can be a bit tedious..

Option to make backup file of previous TXT save with BAK extension. Open PGN. Text rendering on Windows 7 SP1 Notepad app is all bunched up, theres no paragraph spacing. Crashes on opening a .db file. Accesses the internet too much, battery drain.

I just bought this app. It works pretty well except for the following features: (1) auto indent feature seems fail to work, (2) cannot save files directly to MicroSD. Hope they could be fixed asap. Thank you.

Junk -- very difficult to cut and paste, and the instructions on their web site for cut and paste editing don't work -- apparently outdated. Useless for all but the simplest work. Worthless for serious work, and the developer doesn't bother writing an up-to-date and complete manual.

This editor handles everything I through at it and just stays out of my way without limiting what I can do. Its far more than a text entry widget, unlike so many others that call themselves text editors.

Excellent editor, but it really should be possible to handle Fortran files too! Maybe with a future update... Still, I mostly use MATLAB and it's good with that.

Saves to SD. An absolutely essential issue for me. Just installed it on this LG G6 after retiring my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Works great!

Excellent text editor. Worth paying the developers to keep it up. Suggest: NFS and/or SMB protocols to add local network sources to file storage management.

Great app. Very good search and replace function, with regex support. Syntax support for many programming language. Best text editor I've found so far.

Quite possibly the best out there! Would like option an option for key based sftp authentication, but other that, this does the job perfectly.

Great for on the go coding. Used free version for a while before deciding it's worth the money to support the devs and remove the ads

Absolutely brilliant text editor. Whatever you write - text, codes, it feels totally adapted to the task. Plus it's lightweight.
