About 3DM View
We have collected all your feedbacks and recommendations and decided to renew our 3DM View developing a new viewer that would support more formats (including 3DM format) and contain new features.

3DM View is an Android application for 3D model rendering that supports openNURBS (.3DM) files including files generated by Rhino™ family of products from McNeel & Associates - http://www.en.na.mcneel.com/. The detailed format description can be found at: http://www.opennurbs.org/docs.htm.
Models for rendering with 3DM View must be stored locally on an Android device (models can be loaded to the device using a browser download manager, email, or USB connection).
3DM View supports a standard set of user manipulations: such as PANZOOMROTATEFIT.
The “Open File” feature enables a new model to be opened without returning to the preview window.
Models can be opened directly via the file manager.
(NOTE: Models with wireframe data only are not supported. For the model to be rendered, it must be saved in shaded mode.)

The concept is good, but not usefu, yetl. Small but important - DropBox and Google Docs support. I use save-small because I heve thousands of files; it makes backup, download & save operations faster in additional to much smaller file size. The save small keeps the render mesh calculations, but it dumps the actual mesh data, leaving wireframe; thus the file size savings. As noted by the devs, niether this product, nor ViewER will show a saved-small render. They rely on rhino to create the screen mesh and save it in the file. Niether of these viewer apps can create the render mesh they rely upon! The app is USELESS to me in the real world. It would take a huge amount of mobile computing power to generate the mesh, Just warning to non-quad-core users about making the phone choke. You can do this! :-) Two stars because it is impractical, thus unusable. 5 stars if devs can fix the render problem - I'd even ante-up a few bucks for the "pro" version. Both apps still installed in hopes of an upgrade! Peace!

Doesn't display stones (diamonds) in 3dm files of jewellery. Rotation and viewing is good. Also it adds extra items to the final image.

Looking forward to more viewing options (such as ghost, layers, set rotation centre) as the software develops.

Rotation control is not really intuitive but can be improved. Add possibility of switching on/off layers and it would be a very great viewer, especially if we consider the fact that it is FREE and can already deal with 150Mo files! Being able to change preview mode would be a very good add-on too.

Loaded a 100MB model on a GNote 10.1. Some usability issues but otherwise excellent. It would benice to be able to change the background colour and I am not sure how I change models but thanks anyway.

It works great on my Nexus 7 , but not at all on my Galaxy S3 or my Galaxy Note2. on both those devices it simply says model has to be shaded to view. The same model that works fine on the nexus7, guessing its a file handling glitch? Block instances, shaded or not, do not display properly.

This app needs a lot more development to make it a viable product. I would pay for it if it worked. Where are the commands to locate your files?

The app can't see files: "No 3DM files on SD card". So I browse to the 3DM file manually. It now has an icon that resembles this app. Tap to open it, and it says this file type cannot be opened. RAZR MAXX
