Revolut - Beyond Banking for Android
If you travel this app is for you. Easy, clear, transparent and especially incredibly fair in exchange rates. I simply love it. I want to check now the current account functionality to see if it is competitive in that respect too. So far I am totally impressed by it. Good good product. Only problem when an update is released it usually doesn't work anymore. Keep crashing. Plus every time I need to insert security code sent by phone it kicks me out and never able to log in again. Only solution I found is to disinstall and reinstall again. Very painful process
Otherwise good service and decent app let down by poor customer support. Support takes 12 hours to respond to you and if you do not answer back in 8 minutes they "archive" the chat. Then the app doesn't allow you to send a message to customer support after hours. Why not?? Just let me send the message and then answer back during your normal hours. be prepared for bad support.
It's not possible to give an higher review because once you have a problem, support is non existent... Apart from that I think revolut should put their focus on improving the great current features of the app, instead of adding new ones all the time. For example, some basic functions like topping up revolut or payments still face a lot of issues from time to time.
There is no contact with this Team. I sended documents 40 hours ago!!! Ask couple times. Zero answer. They took money!!!! UPDATE They helped me only because I gave them 1 star. But after all it works pretty good.
Money missing from my account. 3 days and I'm still waiting for customer service to address the issue. Possibly the worst service I've ever received. ..and revolut wants to be a banking alternative. ...I don't think so.........still waiting. ...
Rubbish customer service and support. Charged £5 for a card that never arrived and when tried to contact someone to resolve this there was no one available to help! AVOID!!!
Awful customer service. Ordered a new card with express delivery 1 week ago and still waiting for it to arrive. Contacted customer service 24 hours ago and still waiting for someone to contact me. I've heard good things from friends but I can't comment on it because I haven't used it yet.
Revolut as a concept is brilliant. However, they are let down by a downright awful app experience. Things break, things are slow, some functions never work... Come on Revolut, your service is excellent now make an excellent app!
Crazy simple and easy to use. Click and you've got a UK bank account, any time you feel like doing this for business and I know you'd have a lot of customers. Everything about the process is simple, swap currency in seconds, change security on your card in a variety of ways. Wow. Just wow. Great job, keep expanding the services on offer and maintain the quality and you'll do fine
Got locked out of my account before I could even use the card, tried to speak the support team turned out to be a robot which has no idea how to help in such a situation. Asked to speak to a live agent got told that will be two hours wait, I'm still waiting. If you're OK with unnecessary hassle and pointless time waiting then go for it. However if want something quick easy and efficient, then the revolt card is not what you're looking for.
Generally good but the notifications vanish when I unlock my phone so the information as to why the card was declined is lost. Pointless!
This app and associated MasterCard debit card works very well for me. If you can stick to minimal ATM withdrawals and just use card payments it's great value, and it's handy that it's contactless. The immediacy of the spend notifications is great, and the security settings management is good. You can temporarily disable the card and re-enable it if needed. My card was stolen recently and some transactions made. I submitted the chargeback form and was told that the process takes up to 45 days, which is an age, and during that time I got no feedback from support unless I prompted them, but eventually all the money was refunded, so I'm happy. You can get 24/7 support if you pay to go Premium, which is not so great, but the positives of the Revolut concept far outweigh this niggle, and taking that into consideration, perhaps it's fair for Revolut to get paid a little to provide a higher level of support - it's your choice ultimately.
Only had one problem getting money out but I have used it in over 5 countries already and love it. It makes travelling so easy.
I gave it 5 stars but now is too slow to choose the contacts to send or request money. Fix it and I'll give you the 5 stars again
Amazing app, simple to use, able to have different accounts overseas, rate exchange in real time and much more. Had some issue with payment online made not by me and got money back in the same day thanks to Josep who has been really clear and helpful. Brilliant jobs, keep it up!
Can't get help recovering old account because of phone reset, have to use in-app chat but can't get in the app to use it. Tried making another account but won't let me. These guys really need a person to deal with customers and not just some automated card cancelling line.
Poor service even as a premium member. Wouldn't recommend signing up to premium, especially as they try to lock you in for 12 months. Also, apparently sent me emails that I didn't receive (which is a bit of a concern for a company so reliant on robust systems)!!!
Great app with lots of great new features coming. And great debit card that it simply works.
The app works. It needs an alert function to let you know when currencies are moving against you and the in-app support is awful.
Card getting declined in shops and restaurants, but money deducted from account. Contacted support, but no response in a few days.
Forces camera flash so I can't take an accurate picture of my ID. I was locked out of my account as soon as I signed up. What a farce.
Must have card for regular travellers, can't recommend enough!

Couldn't be bothered to tap the stupid date picker 60 times to enter date of birth, so no idea if the rest of this app/business is any good, but with usability that bad, I'm not going to invest any more time in it.
Good Support but only by IM. Great APP and great service. Would give 5 stars if there were support through phone as well.
This is the best way to take money abroad. Easy to set up, easy to use abroad and easy to transfer money back to your bank account or to others.
Just back from Gran Canaria and card was fine. Saved me few quid with cash withdrawals and was excepted everywhere i went. Done the job

Did you know that Revolut uses Lithuanian Banking system to issue IBAN accounts to customers?!

It's a real pain in the butt to set it up. Verifying your identity and then confirming your credit card is difficult. You have to contact support, because confirming the card by taking a picture doesn't work. After that... IT'S AWESOME. like really awesome. It deserves 5 stars. It's easy to get a physical card from them (it also arrives fast), it's easy to add money to your account, paying online works as it should, and sending/requesting money is fast and easy. They have loads more features I didn't use. If the improve card confirmation, it would be 6/5.
