Quick OTP

One-time password (OTP) is a dynamic password generated by a bank to the registered mobile number as an additional security/authentication that is valid for only one transaction/login session.

This OTP is normally a six digit number that is to be entered in the payment gateway/net banking page, before the expiry of the transaction session.

When the transaction session is short, or when it takes long time to verify and enter the OTP there is more likelihood of experiencing preclosure of session as "Session Expired". Such failures may require repeat of transaction and OTP.

Quick OTP comes in handy; it reads and copies the OTP and the OTP can be instantly pasted over the payment gateway to complete the transaction easily and promptly. This works in mobile (less than 100 ms). Quick OTP when activated successfully using the licensing app, works in mobile(less than 100 ms) as well as in windows desktop (less than 300 ms).

However it works only when windows desktop and mobile are in the same LAN.

Steps to install,

Over the Mobile:
1. Install Quick OTP from Play Store.

2. Install Quick OTP License from Play Store.

3. Select "Activate License" on the app Menu. On successful activation, app will be unlocked to be used along with the desktop client.

3. Set the local Ip Address of the windows Desktop to send the OTP over to it.
Just download and run the bat file from the link in the desktop to know your local Ip Address,

4. Start the service from the Menu.

Over the Windows Desktop:
1. Download the "Quick OTP_setup.exe" by selecting "Get Setup File" in the Menu.

2. Run and install the setup in the desktop.

3. Launch the "Quick OTP.exe" for the service to start.

Use Cases:

- Can be used to book tatkal tickets in IRCTC eTicketing System (One would save an average 8 seconds in completing payment which may help in getting your ticket confirmed.)
- Payment made using desktop
- Payment made using mobile
- While transacting in Desktop, need not fetch your mobile to view the OTP
- OTP can be sent quickly to account holder when away
