What is a beacon? Beacons are tiny Bluetooth based radio devices which emit a unique signal. When placed strategically throughout a retail environment, for example, they can be used to tailor unique experiences for customers.

AdHawk is designed to be non-intrusive and simply waits in the background for a nearby beacon to be detected. It's important to note that battery use is conserved by enabling radio only when in the vicinity of a beacon.
