About ALPHA Heart rate monitor (BLE)

This is an early release of the ALPHA - Heart rate monitor, which can be used with various heart rate measuring systems, like the Mio ALPHA, and Polar H7; as long as they use Bluetooth Low Energy / Smart it should work.

This app currently is in Alpha state, but updates will be provided frequently (as much as possible).

The following Bluetooth Low Energy compliant devices, with Android 4.3 and above, are supported:
Google Nexus 5
HTC One,
HTC Droid DNA
HTC One X+ (Android 4.1+)
Samsung GS4 (Android 4.2+)

Most Bluetooth heart rate sensors should work, including (but not limited to..)
Mio Alpha, Polar H7, BlueLeza HRM Blue, Zephyr HxM Smart, Viiiiva, 60beat Blue, Beets BLU, and Wahoo Blue HR

Super frustrating! What good is the heart monitor if I can't link it to my phone?!?

C70%
by C####:

After a "successful" download the app never worked. Waste of time. Piece of garbage.

X70%

Did not manage to sync. Snif

C70%

Many people have asked about the logging function, which I consider a very important feature, but the developer seems to be unwilling to answer those questions.

I changed the default location to /mnt/sdcard/tmp but there are no logs. Please help us out. Otherwise I like the app, it is a scientific looking chart recorder. Also, there is no time at the bottom of the chart.

X70%
by X####:

I've got no idea what the log data and graph data options are supposed to do. Also - when/where is the log file written? I've set the file path to an existing directory, but there is no output or error.

The scan doesn't work for me. Fails to find my monitor or any other monitors around me at the gym.

X70%
by X####:

no Map, sometimes jumpy

X70%
by X####:

It mostly works, if you have the screen on. If you turn the screen off the graph won't update. Also it doesn't stay reliably connected to my Polar H7.

This gave me exactly what I was looking for... a freaking graph of the Zyphr HXM-2 (iphone HxM Smart model) Bluetooth LE heart rate monitor over time!!!! Its simple and works cleanly and is free!!! Sorry for the overuse of exclamations, but it took 3+ apps to find this simple function.

Works great tested with a cheap strap , struggling to get the map to show up. The graph works well. Using jarv run BT monitor

U70%
by U####:

Works a treat with a very cheap BLE HRM but where is the data stored. Can't seem to find it anywhere.

I like the auto zoom and auto scaling of the graph. Very nice app. Would be cool to show your various heart rate zones (e.g. 70%, 80%, etc.)

Doesn't work cant open app uninstalling

Tested and works fine and very stable with Conquer Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor and Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (Android 4.4).

H70%

Could not find my Mio Alpha, when other apps have no problems.

U70%

Shows an elapsed time timer, but no heart rate data showing at all even though apparently connected to the Alpha.

U70%

Wahoo Fitness Blue HR heart rate strap. Nice graph. Great for an "alpha." As someone already asked, where's the data stored? I've navigated to the directory in the settings... nothing. And I've changed the storage location... nothing. Keep at it.
